We tend to think and believe that our image is sacred, that everyone sees us exactly the same way, the way we see ourselves. This is far from true. Every single person, as a different perception of us, even our closest ones. Our partner sees us differently than our kids.
1. The person you know as yourself, don’t exist.
Each person you deal with -regardless of the relationship and how long you know
them- has a different image of you.
Your partner, your kids, parents, siblings, friends, co-workers.
Each one of them sees you with different eyes. For the intrinsic relationship they
have with you and the role you have with them.
This can be shocking as you may be so sure that everyone sees you exactly the
same way. That you are true to yourself and your principles.
And yes most of them may agree on your seemingly basic traits and values, but how
they see you goes far beyond that.
Your kids see you different from your wife. If you have more than one son, even they,
will have a different image of their parents at some level.
Stop protecting your sacred personality, that’s just an illusion.
Your delusional image of yourself
