3.
The composite is a material system made up of two
components : The matrix that protects the interface
and the reinforcement which is the load carrier .
Composite materials consist of two or more
materials which are physically and mechanically
distinct materials . However , the overall properties
of the resulting materials are about the same as to
those of the constituents in isolation .
Introduction
4.
The objective is to learn the difference
between the kinds of pure ice .
Conclusion : when we add materials it
become stronger .
Activity 1: Testing Different kinds of
Ice .
8.
Objective : Search about the materials of
the object .
Conclusion : we Learn what the materials
do for the object * the advantages &
disadvantages of the materials * .
Activity 2: Hunting for Composite
Materials
9.
Object name Composition Advantages
Plane body
Steel
Aluminum
Strong
light weight
lowest cost
The object we search about it :
10.
The objective : compare the materials in
terms of strength and flexibility .
The materials we use it : Plastic rod ,
Iron rod , wood , pasta , nylon cord .
1- Strong to weak :
iron rod , 2- nylon cord , 3- plastic rod ,
4- wood , 5- pasta
Activity 3: Exploring the Difference
Between Strength and Stiffness
11.
2 - More flexible to least flexible :
Nylon cord , 2- plastic rod , 3- iron rod ,
4- wood , 5 – pasta
12.
The objective : we use the papers on
the foam to know when it will
broke .
Conclusion : when we add more
paper it become stronger and it
won’t broke .

The Objective : When we will do the fishing pole we
have to know that the materials we will use it be :
Strong , Flexible and light weight
Conclusion : 1- We have trying two time to do the
fishing pole .
2- The second time we pass and we apply all the rules
about how the fishing pool would be like .
Design Project: Designing a Fishing
Pole
16.
The Material's we use it : cork ,
Metal faucet , bottle , filter , plastic
plate , straw .
The idea of the project is to recycle
the water and use it again in the
right way when you are in a trip .
Mobile sink
17.
- We prepare for this project by think how to help
people to clean their hand in the trips .
- We use the cork to make the base for the sink
and we use the filter to recycle the water in the
sink .
- We use one bottle to put the water in it then
we connected the filter with the bottle to
filtering and cleaning the water .
- We use a metal faucet to come down the water
.
Final project :
Mobile sink
18.
At the end we learn how to mix the materials to
make a composite object with new specification
and we learn how to do create a new product to
help the environment , solve the problems and
make our life easy .
We know that when we create a new product
with a group we can make it more powered
and in the best qualities .
Conclusion

Many thanks to my teachers, school and AL-Bairaq
team from Center for Advanced Materials (CAM),
Qatar University for supporting us during our journey
with a AL-Bairaq.
Also, I would like to thank the sponsors UNESCO,
Qatar National Commission, Ras Gas and Shell.
