Banaras Hindu Unversity :
The Student READY (Rural Entrepreneurship
Awareness Development Yojana) programme
aims to provide rural entrepreneurship
awareness, practical experience in real-life
situation in rural agriculture and creating
awareness to undergraduate students about
practical agriculture and allied sciences. The
programme will help in building confidence,
skill and acquire Indigenous Technical

preparing the pass-out for self-employment.
It also aims to provide opportunities to acquire
hands-on-experience and entrepreneurial
skills. To reorient graduates of agriculture and
allied subjects for ensuring and assuring
employability and develop entrepreneurs for
emerging knowledge intensive agriculture, it
was felt necessary to introduce this program

32. Conclusion
• Chatra, Jharkhand has huge potential to grow in Agriculture
• Due to lack of Information , Farmer didn’t get benefitted by government Schemes
• In my area there is no any cold storage facilities, So there is chance for agri prenuer to develop the cold
storage on government subsidy of upto 50% and get benefitted
• Agriculture department should run a awareness program in rural area as well as in urban area weekly basis
so that can get the information about the schemes and technologies
• In my district most of farmer do traditional farming and very less farmer have a soil health card and Kisan
credit card.
• Chatra , Jharkhand climate is suited for various crop due to lack of proper knowledge and guidance the
yield of crop become low and also result in crop failure
• Chatra Farmers need technology and knowledge to boost their production and also due to improper mode
of transportation the demand of rural produce is not too good
• Chatra market demand is not too good . Because of low number employed people in chatra .
• Government should create a marketing strategy for backward district like Chatra .
