This document outlines the course requirements for History 4 ESO during the 2015-2016 school year. Students will study Spanish history from the 18th century to present day. There are two year-long projects: one on the history of Spain and one on major artistic styles. Students will submit parts of each project at set intervals and be assessed on exams (70%), projects (25%), and classroom participation (5%). Exams must be passed to calculate final grades based on averages. Penalties will be applied for missed work or inappropriate behavior.

This year you will study the period in History which stretches from the 18th
century to
nowadays.
Year-long project I: History of Spain
Thisprojectconsistson doing some exercises about Spanish History in a notebook that you´ll
have to hand in to your teacher. Some days later, you will take a test about what you learnt.
Thisprojectis dividedinthree parts,accordingtoeachterm.You´ll be givenlaterthe exactday
of your project delivery. You will be posted some instructions to do your project on the
teacher´s blog.

Year-long project II: Art
Thisprojectconsistsonmakingan albumwithpicturesandexplanationsof the mostimportant
artistic styles from the 18th
century to our present. You must hand it in to your teacher one
album per School term, as you can see in the following chart. You´ll be given later the exact
day of your project delivery. You will be posted some instructions to do your project on the
teacher´s blog.

Final score:
o You must obtain more than 3.5 points in your
exams to average your examination marks.
o You must obtain 5 points in your examination
marks inorderto calculate an average with the
resultsof yourprojectsand yourattitude tothe
subject.
Remedial exam:
o If the average of your examination marks is
below 5 points, you must retake a single exam
based on the contents of the term.
o If you pass your remedial exam, it will be
averaged with the results of your projects and
your attitude to the subject.
Penalties
You´ll obtaina negative point
in case:
o Your behavior is
inappropriate.
o You forgot your
homework.
o You don´t deliver
your projects on
time.
o Any other wrong
actions that can
happen during the
lesson.
If you get a negative point,
you will lose -0.15 points in
the final score at the end of
the term. You cannot regain
that point.
