These are instructional and learning resources
which are selected to complement, enrich or
extend the curriculum.
Examples of these are library materials, digital
resources, the school system’s media collection,
classroom collections and teacher-selected
resources for individual classes.

selecting Instructional Materials?
Contains accurate content without factual errors
Reflects diversity and inclusion regarding culture, gender,
ethnicity, and national origin.
It must be presented with no or minimal bias or slant.
It must provide accessible and structured text and images to
meet the needs of diverse learners.
12. REMEMBER
Instructional Materials play both an essential and
a significant role in teaching and in learning of various
subjects.
In terms of learning, instructional materials
promote teachers’ efficiency and improve students’
performance.
If instructional materials fail to serve their
purpose, teachers tend to use the materials selectively
and modify the suggested activities to suit the learners’
needs and interests.
