2. The title of my magazine has been chosen by me and the focus group I asked.
They all suggested I use the title Jet Rock for multiple reasons.
They said the title Jet Rock reminded them of the genre because it is related
to jet black, and black is a dark colour that my target audience would like
because it is associated with the genre rock. Also a jet is quite a dangerous
vehicle and rock could be seen as dangerous because it’s loud.
I chose the genre rock because I know of a lot of rock artists and rock has
multiple sub genres in it so I can have a variety of rock genres in my magazine
and it would appeal to a wide target audience.

3. Her name would be Mollie and her age would be 18 years old because it is
generally that age group that would mostly be into rock music and would be
willing to buy a music magazine. The gender of my ideal target audience is
female because they are into male and female artists so it would be easier to
find either males or females to appear in my magazine. The ethnicity would be
British because most rock artists are white which might appeal to a target
audience of the same ethnicity. She might go to a lot of rock concerts and
wear merchandise from bands that they like, they also might like having
parties and going to parties with their friends.

4. On my front page I want to have the masthead all the way across the top of
the page and I want the background of the masthead to be black and the
masthead title to be black. I want the background of the whole page to be
quite dark but I want the main image to be covering most of the background.
The main image will be of a girl possibly holding a guitar.
I would put four or five cover lines around the main image and the main cover
line on the image. The cover line font is going to be white to contrast with the
background and masthead so it will stand out, they will also be bold.
I will put headings at the bottom of the page so the audience know what to
expect in the magazine.
I will have the date and price just underneath the barcode which will be at the
bottom right hand corner of the page.

5. My contents page header will be the same as my masthead on the front cover
but it will say “Contents”.
I will have another big image of possibly the same girl with other girls on the
contents page, taking up most of the page because my audience said that they
would prefer more pictures than images. The font will be bold and black to
contrast with the white background it will have.
I will list the content of the magazine with their page numbers on the right
side of the page and the image will be on the left side. I will also add some
concert dates on the right side of the page.

6. On the double page spread I will have a big, bold title of the artists name that
I am going to do the article about. There will be a big picture of this artists on
the left side of the page, then the article will be on the right side of the page.
The picture and title need to be big to shoe the importance of the artist so the
audience knows that this artist is very famous and successful.
I will possibly put a secondary image on the double page spread of the artist I
am going to be writing about, which will be a female.
