3. Hydrological budget
• Hydrological budget is also called" Water Balance Equation.
• The basics for availability and general transportation of
water and pollutants for a specific area is called "water
balance or hydrological budget equation".
• The hydrological budget equation can be used to describe
the flow of water in and out of a system.
4. • The hydrological budget equation is used for many
basic analyses of water availability in an area.eg. to
find out how much water is available that can be used
for drinking.
• The hydrological equeation is
ΔS = I - O
Where, I = inflow
O = outflow
5. ΔS = I - O
= P – G –( R+E+T)
Where, P = Precipitation
R = Runoff
E = Evaporation
T = Transpiration
G = Ground
The hydrological budget can be expressed as a
function of storage which depend upon inflow and
outflow
6. The water which is recharging the system is inflow.
The water which is flow out of the system is called
outflow. And their difference is known as storage.
7. Catchment Area
Catchment area is an area of land where surface water
from rain, snow, hail and ice convergent of single point
like lack, pound etc.
When water joints another water body such as river, lack
reservoir, sea in close catchment the water convergent
to single point inside the basin. which may be
permanent lack or dry lack.
8. In catchment area surface water from around soil fill
fill in catchment such as funnel by collecting all the
water like sea cover by the catchment .
