2. • “The visible elements of a brand (such as colours, design,
logotype, name, symbol) that together identify and distinguish
the brand in the consumers' mind”
http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/brand-identity.html
• I have chosen a brand identity for my music video and other
projects that I feel will target the mainstream audience of
alternative rock, allowing for the largest audience possible to
see my products.
• For the mise en scene of my video I have chosen to stick to
the common conventions of alternative rock in terms of the laid
back style and attitude by using casual clothing such as
trainers, jeans and t-shirts.
3. • I believe that throughout my projects i.e. digipaks,
advert and music video I have clearly shown a
brand identity that can easily be identified.
• As my chosen genre is a sub-genre of rock
(Alternative Rock), I have consistently included
colours that I feel will signify a feeling of passion
and aggression. These colours include red, black,
grey and white, all common colours within the
alternative rock genre.
• As well as sticking to my colours I have also
consistently used the shape of a triangle throughout
my tasks. I have used this as I feel a simplistic
design will stand out well compared to a more busy
and complex design.
• Also, when the audience see the distinct triangle
they will instantly be able to recognise it and link it
back to the album.
4. • I have also considered the text and font I
have used throughout my projects as
these are important when keeping a
consistent brand identity
• The text I have chosen to use will be big,
bold and include dark colours to keep the
genre of alternative rock consistent and
recognisable to my audience
