3. Foursquare is about “Collateral Exposure”. Your goal is simple,
make an offer to anyone nearby that can be a consumer of your
product and reward them simply for checking in. When they check
in and if they have Facebook or Twitter connected then that person
just broadcasted to their friends YOUR BUSINESS NAME.
4. Yelp
Things You Should Know About Yelp
1) Yelp was founded in 2004 to help people find great local businesses
like dentists, hair stylists and mechanics.
2) Yelp had an average of approximately 78 million monthly unique
visitors in Q2 2012.
3) Yelpers have written over 30 million local reviews.
4) Yelp has a check in feature but it is not widely used.
5) If you want to monitor what is going on about your place of business
Yelp has the reviews!
5. Facebook Places
Places is similar to Foursquare but is a built in feature of
Facebook.
Use it to reward customers for checking in to your
business.
Unlike Foursquare, Facebook
automatically pushes your check in to
your friends.
