experiment, they either tasted Walkers crisp or Tesco value crisps, Coca Cola, or Sainsbury value
cola. Participants evaluated the taste on a rating scale, where 1 indicated least satisfying and 10
most satisfying. There were no significant difference between the Walkers crisps and Tesco value
crisps, t (18) = 616, p=0.546). Also no difference was found between the two bands of cola, Mann

plantations and farm for 4 to 7 years for employer. The motivation to agree to this contact was free
passage to America from their homeland. During the 1600s, the French had many people come to
the America by such contacts and most indentured servants returned home after their contracts
expired (pg 35) for many reasons. During the English colonization, the people who could afford to
come to the America were government officials, clergymen, merchants, artisans, and landowning

A recent current event that is shown in media is the shooting of a Virginia State Trooper at a
Greyhound bus station. This tragedy occurred Thursday, March 31, in the afternoon around three
p.m. A Virginia state trooper was said to be talking to another individual, the suspect, and then the
suspect pulled out a gunand shot the trooper leaving him with serious life threatening injuries. After
the suspect shot the trooper other State Troopers began firing their weapons on the suspect. This
tragedy ended with the suspect dead, Virginia State Trooper with serious injuries, then later died

Many stories are written in a positive or negative way to make a event seem in a negative or a
positive way. Each news source has a way of tell how an event happened whether it is true or
false information. Most of the time a news station hears about an event occurring and tries to be
apart of it by telling the story but the source does not always have all the details so it is not
credible. Usually by the day after the event occurs is when the media is a little more accurate with
the details, but not one hundred percent yet. If one does not check different news sources for the

At the 2013 MLB All Star game Marco Antonio MuГ±iz, who goes by the artistic name of Marc
Anthony, sang God Bless America for the audience. The live performance found its way to
YouTube and became accessible to those who were not there to watch the performance live or
through television. This made it easier for the performance to receive more negative, racist, and
discriminatory responses through social mediums, particularly twitter, and eventually became a
controversial topic among news sources and media. In this essay, I will analyze responses to Marc

to be American. This incident was one of many incidents in the United Statesthat incited

Due to the advancements from the Industrial Revolution, weapons were more deadly and injuries
were more severe. The Civil War had the most United States casualties than any other war, so

Apess and Manhood: The Only Influence? In his work, Eulogy on King Philip, Apess discusses
King Philip from a Native American point of view, and contrasts it with other works of the time.
Apess, being a Native American, portrays King Philip as a true hero rather than a tragic hero or a
villain. In his work, he also contrasts actions of the Native Americans with that of the British
Puritan settlers. Peter Bayers, in William Apess s Manhood and Native Resistance in Jacksonian

In Apess s argument against White oppression and White views of Natives, Apess uses his
religious background and that of the Puritans and shows how the Puritans behaved. Apess says,
it is also wonderful how they prayed, that they should pray the bullet through the Indians heart

that he puts no faith in such prayers, because if he did, he knew that there would be no Native
