Reflection Of Baptistism And Baptists
I grew up in the Methodist denomination and through this type of teaching or
direction, I had never experienced anything else. I believed that the different doctrines
practiced were universal activities every Christian practiced. I felt very immature in
my faith before going to Hardin Simmons University. Through the different classes at
Logsdon, finding my home church in Abilene, and figured out the theology I
believed in aside from my upbringing. Although I have grown up Methodist most of
my life, I would say my denomination classification has shifted to Baptist. I am still
learning many aspects of Baptist doctrine, cooperation, and distinctives. That being
said, growing up in a different denomination other than Baptist, I have had the
opportunity to have real life comparisons in my belief system. There are certain
Methodist activities that still feel more comfortable than Baptist aspects, but the

Young men who join the Taliban are not as ideological. They are motivated by
money and the Taliban s willingness to pay them, adventure seekers and those who
long for the status that only power can provide. Furthermore, they long for a change
to their country that has not come since 2001. During this time, they have found

Afghan, U.S., or NATO forces.
The Taliban have four basic goals that they also view as phases. First is to utilize the

In order to exist in nature and in human, innocence requires experience. The author,
William Blake divided his poems into two volumes which are Songs of Innocence

Tyger is from Songs of Experience. In The Lamb, Blake writes in an incomplex,
childlike way asking an innocent lamb who made it. In The Tyger, Blake asks who

Some athletes, when entered into this organization, are pushed into doing things that
they may not find interest in. Instead of being intrigued by the physical activity,

For my summer reading book report I, unfortunately, chose the book Franny and
Zooey, which combines his short story Franny and novella Zooey by J.D. Salinger.
One of the best parts of this book was the ending on page 201, When she had
replaced the phone, she seemed to know just what to do next... Before she fell into
a deep, dreamless sleep, she just lay quiet, smiling at the ceiling . This is a great
moment, partly because the book was over and there was no more pretentious

Will Hunting is a 20 year old orphan. He lives in a small apartment in Southie and
has been working as a janitor at M.I.T under the supervision of the Parole
Employment Program. As a child, Will was constantly in and out of foster homes
due to the physical abuse by three different foster fathers since adolescence and has
a history of assault, grand theft, resisting arrest, mayhem, impersonating an officer.
As an effect of this abuse Will blames himself for his unhappy childhood and turns
his anger issues into a form of self sabotage in both his professional and emotional
