There is definitely something in this film for everyone. Even if you can t bear to
watch the violence, which is so predominant throughout the movie, there is a lot of
emotion, action and even horror that will keep any audience gripped. In this film
Gibson uses the devil in the form of a person and he shows us how man is tempted
by evil which results in jumps and frights better than most horror films out these days.
As far as the violence is concerned, The Passion was very gruesome and disturbing
to watch at some points. Some people think it is too much to see someone getting
their skin ripped off with metal claws but I think it was a necessary part of the

354, Russ Lamoreaux. After being rescheduled and dismissed multiple times, our
team opted to find a different subject to interview who would be more responsive

workforce. They were doing domestic service, working in factories, workshops, tin

Youth Groups as a discourse community The only people who go to youth groups are
the perfect kids who never do anything wrong, go to church every week, talk about
God and about what is going on in their lives. This was my speculation before
attending Pinion Hills Community Church in Farmington, New Mexico. Many
people believe this to be a stereotype but my guess is that it is anything but the truth.
Pinion Hills is a non denominational church with a youth group that takes place on
Saturdays at five thirty in the afternoon and then again on Sundays at nine thirty in
the morning. I chose to attend the Saturday youth group with my roommate who has
attended the youth group for a little over a year now.
Christianity began over 2000 years ago with Jesus Christ and his disciples. Jesus
would travel around the village s preaching religion and teaching people the will of
God. Jesus would eventually die for the sins of man but three days later he would
be resurrected and give hope to the world. Jesus became known as the Messiah for
the Christian religion as well as the teacher of God. People today continue to tell
his stories and worship him still to this day. There are various ways that people
come together to worship and praise God. One way would be the getting together of

In 1930s Spain, the ritual of marriage became highly controversial as the 1931
Constitution allowed for divorce to be legal. This caused debate between older and
younger generations. The elders of society still had their beliefs deeply rooted in
the views of the Catholic Church , which did not allow for divorce. Nonetheless, the
younger generation was more prone to giving into desire and therefore was more
open to the idea. The play Blood Weddingby Federico Garcia Lorca insinuates the
strong importance of ritual in the 1930s. Due to this, in the play, ritual is revered
and ironclad while desire is shunned. When Leonardo comes to the wedding of Bride
the clash between desire and ritual is made evident. Nonetheless, ritual is made...
However, when Leonardo whisks Bride away, ritual is threatened. Lorca also
shows how desire should be kept hidden away in society by the running away of
Bride and Leonardo being made off stage. He shows that people would rather
pretend that desire does not even exist making their running away hidden
signifying that. Additionally, the setting of Act 3 adds to the feeling of desire.
Forests have been known in plays to be a place of surrealism. Leonardo and Bride
get married in the forest as their ability to be together is like a dream come true for
them and it would not be possible anywhere else. In any other place, ritual would
have had more precedence and strength because society endorses it due to the beliefs
of the Catholic Church. All in all, desire is not imperative to society in the play and
in that time period.
Blood Wedding portrays ritual excessively; even the title Wedding is a religious
sacrament. Thus, it should come as no surprise that Lorca encompasses ritual into
the hunting down of Leonardo and Bride. As soon as everyone learns that the two

musical number of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy that the gears of my mind

the room with carefree delight, I was transported back to the cold, laminated floor

six feet by seven feet small expanse of space, I remember holding my china

Rumpi Hills Forest Reserve or previously known as the Rumpi Hills Native

It was a clear afternoon on November 10th, 1928 when the Notre Dame Fighting
Irish football team took the field against the Black Knights of Army. Army was the
number one team in the nation that year, and Notre Dame was having one of their
worst seasons ever under the leadership of legendary coach Knute Rockne. At the end
of the opening half, neither team had managed to score.
With his dejected players gathered around him in the locker room, Rockne
congratulates them on their performance in the first half and tells them, I guess we
just can t expect to win them all (3). He then recalls what the great All American
running back George Gipp had told him as he laid dying in a hospital bed. What he
said next would go down as one of the most famous motivational lines in sports
history. Rockne describes how it was Gipp s final wish for a Notre Dame football
team to, . . . go out there with all they got and win just one for the Gipper (5). Using
this as a rallying cry, the Irish battled back in the second half and won 12 6.
Rockne s use ethos, pathos, and logos successfully inspired his players to an upset

After completing the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale, I see that there is
