Primary research consists of original data that you go out and collect yourself. This type of research is used to find out different peoples opinions.
There are many different types of primary research from surveys/questionnaires interviews,observations,focus groups and ethnographic research. Surveys can also be through telephone and mail etc.
• Primary research is useful because it is reliable and it is original data. You can collect as much information as you want because you can ask a wide range of people.
• Also known as desk research, secondary research is the most common research method employed in the industry today. It involves processing data that has already been collected by someone else.
