This document discusses the rise of the contextual web and how mobile devices are leading this change. It argues that the contextual web will rely on large amounts of raw user data and real-time information about users' locations, social connections, activities and interests to deliver personalized experiences. It also suggests that in the contextual web, the virtual world will increasingly reflect the real world as people's online experiences are shaped by their real-time context. Revenue models will evolve from charging for content to finding ways to effectively monetize the large amounts of user data and connections between people.
