2. Why I took this class
I took this class to better my understanding
with technology. When it comes to
technology I’m not as savvy as I would like
to be. I felt like this was an opportunity for
me to explore the different technologies
and ways of learning.
3. Personal Learning Preference
Active (1) - An active learner learn more through asking
question and having discussions and knowing the facts
Sensing (5) - Sensing learners learn through doing hands
on experiments
Visual (1) - They learn better through visual images or
graphs
Sequential(9) - Sequential learners learn best when they
are taught by step by step process
4. Concept of Learning Preference
The way you learn is always beneficial to
know. It will help your teachers know how
you learn as well so they can better help
you when you need it. I also think that we
learn our style of learning when we are
young so trying to change it when we are
older would be quite a challenge.
5. Learning Pathway Chosen
I chose the learning Sage route. This was to
better my understanding on the different
types of devices. I chose this route because
I’m not really a gadget type of person. I
wanted to learn a little bit about everything
that was in the technological realm. Which
is almost about everything that we are
circumferenced with
6. Activities
The activities that I enjoyed the most were the
quizzes. I liked looking back at the different
powerpoints and finding out about the new
technology or media that we were focusing on. I
liked the social network part of the class. I learned
alot in that section about the different types of
social medias. I also did not know what a microblog
was and I got introduced to what that was through
this class.
7. Top 3 Technologies
The top three technologies that I learned the most about was the Ipad, Mp3
player, and the smartphone. I really liked the Ipad portion because I
bought one before this course started and I had no idea how it worked.
Through this course I learned about some different apps that can help me
get started and learn on my Ipad and how I can download apps to keep me
organized and to stay on task. I realized that whatever I can do on my
Ipad I could sync it up to my phone which made my Ipad accessible at all
times even when it was not close by. I learned about the Mp3 player in
that you can use it for more things than just to listen to music. You can
also use it to record lectures as and go on the internet with it.
8. Experience with Technology
I really enjoyed playing around with my Ipad i downloaded
the Pinterest app and I fell in love with it. It not only
helped me with learning it helped in all aspects of life.
You can look up anything and find information or pictures
on it. I also downloaded this app called Evernote.The
Evernote app is great, especially if you want to stay
organized. It gives you alerts and saves all of your data on
a cloud so if anythings shuts down you can go to that
cloud and everything can be retrieved through there. I
really liked exploring the different apps you can get for
your device.
9. Knowledge of Physiological Factors
I really liked integrating my smartphone and my Ipad in
my life. I used to always use either the desktop
computer at home or my laptop for the internet. I
would use my phone for the internet but I would much
rather it be on a bigger screen. I like that I have an
Ipad now because carrying my laptop around is not the
safest thing to do. My laptop is not that heavy but my
Ipad is much better to carry around than my laptop. I
have adapted to using my smartphone and Ipad alot. It
was a quick adjustment.
10. After Class Uses
I use my knowledge from my class to teach my family
especially my parents about what all they can do with
their Iphones. I showed them some of the apps that
were used in the class. I also passed down some of the
information that I gained from this class to my friends. I
also quizzed some of my tech savvy friends and asked
them if they knew about what all their devices could
do. I will be using my Ipad till I can no longer use it
anymore. It is a great investment when you know what
you are doing.
11. Learning Sage
My experience was great. I really enjoyed
learning about the different technologies
and how to use them. This was a great
course not only taught me about the
technologies it also taught me how I learn
and how I retrieve information.
