1. What gender are you? This was the first question in my questionnaire and from the results I can see that females were the majority so this gave me a bit of an idea on what to base my music magazine on because I knew what most of my target audience would be and what they would look for based on stereotypes.
2. What age range are you? In this question it is clear the young people have a vast majority. From this I knew that I couldn't put in sophisticated fonts or difficult vocabulary as most youths would not necessarily understand it. Different features would have to be included in the magazine also.
3. What genres of music do you listen to? From the graph you can tell that a number of genres were popular with the people that answered. Hip-hop, rap, pop and grime lead the numbers as this is mostly the type of music that is doing well in the charts at the moment. Also because I had a younger audience answering the questions the genres of music also varied whereas if my majority was 35+ maybe classical music may be in the lead.
4. How often do you buy magazines? Many magazines have monthly issues and this is why this had the majority in this question. Because I knew how often people brought magazines it made it easier for me to know how much information to include. Many said they didn’t buy magazines at all and they just got their information from the internet so from this I knew what to put in my magazine that would not be available to them through the internet e.g. freebies.
5. How much would you be willing to spend on a music magazine? From this question I realised that I shouldn’t set the price too high for the magazine as not many people would purchase it. We can clearly see that most would rather pay the cheaper price which would result to more copies being sold if this was the case for my magazine.
