ASIMO is a humanoid robot created in 2000 by Honda.
•
ASIMO stands for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility
•
11th in line of successive bipedal humanoid model’s by honda.
•
First version is disclosed in 2000 after 15 year research.
•
It is the 4th man like humanoid robot

8. Features of ASIMO (2011)
• Can recognize moving objects, postures and gestures.
• Two cameras are useful to detect multiple objects.
• Can distinguish between different voices.
• Can interpret human hand movement and recognize a handshake is offered.
• Can walk like human, climb stairs, serve coffee,
• Respond to its name and recognize sound for falling objects.
• Can recognize 10 different faces and address them by name.
• Can adjust length of step, body position, speed and direction.
