•   Rather, share the skills you developed in high school
    during your interview

•   Don’t just describe duties, highlight your
    accomplishments through results

• Use your school’s career or advising center


• Ask a professor or PRSSA member to look
  over your resume


• Utilize a mentor/mentee program for your
  Chapter
Dress the part…

• Always better to be a little overdressed

• Clothing should be appropriate and
  professional

• Wear something you are comfortable
  with, it will make you more confident!
Dealing with nerves…

• Practice speaking in front of a mirror or
  record yourself

• Be prepared for what they may ask
  – Be ready to describe how skills from previous
    positions are applicable

• Research the company & come
  prepared with 3-5 questions

• Take a break, get away from your desk

• Set goals: keep this list with you at your
  desk to reference
