Fixing your resume…• As an upperclassman, it’s good idea to remove any high school activities• Rather, share the skills you developed in high school during your interview• Don’t just describe duties, highlight your accomplishments through results• Use quantifiable data such as “increased sales by 30%
Getting resume help…• Use your school’s career or advising center• Ask a professor or PRSSA member to look over your resume• Utilize a mentor/mentee program for your Chapter
Dress the part…• Always better to be a little overdressed• Clothing should be appropriate and professional• Wear something you are comfortable with, it will make you more confident!
Dealing with nerves…• Practice speaking in front of a mirror or record yourself• Be prepared for what they may ask – Be ready to describe how skills from previous positions are applicable• Research the company & come prepared with 3-5 questions
