2. Kerrangs masthead is bold and fragmented which clearly represents the genre of rock. The fonts are all bold and stand out, although not bright colors, they are all big and centre the page. I think that they all work really well and apply with the genre as rock is meant to be bold, and loud, and these fonts allow the magazine to be portrayed as this. The main image is slightly off centre but looks fantastic! The band is in the background while the lead singer, (the eye candy) is pushed to the front in a dramatic pose which draws you in to her. She is not blocking out the other members, they are just not looking at attracted into the photo. There are other images used on the cover, and they all go well as they are attractive but do not draw attention away from the main photo. They are all bright and iare placed into neat little borders which detracts attatenin from the photos and strongly allows you to be drawn into the main image. I really like the images, and choice of all images on this front cover and thinks it works really well. The color on the cover is really nice and attractive. IT makes everything stand out for the right reasons, and allows everything that is the main event, to be kept the main attraction.
3. The color scheme is red white and black. This works quite well with the genre, but only the masthead stand out fully. The writing on the side does actually separate the headings from the sub headings and looks really nice and tidy. I really like the writing for NME as it’s really bold but I do not think that the title is big enough at all. I think it needs to be bigger, although I do like the placement as it allows the two characters to stand out and away from the title. The two people appearing on the cover are looking very vintage and olden looking. The image is really nice and works really well with the colors and backgrounds. The image looks very 70’s and suits the genre of the magazine well. I think this a really well decorated cover and the color scheme works really nicely together. However, If I was editing this I would have make the main headlining fonts much bolder so that it could stand out more from the page.
