11. The Owl’s View – custom intelligence report
Like an owl, first give your surroundings a wide
scan to get an overview. Then focus on something
interesting – and dash to catch it!
The Owl’s View is a custom report in two parts. It can be done at
any point, but it is particularly useful when working on something
new: a new strategy, a new product or entering a new market.
The purpose of the report is not just to inform you about what’s
going on outside the company. It is also a picture of where the
strong points and the blind spots of your intelligence practices are.
Phase 1:
We produce an overview of the customer’s
business environment: e.g. competitors,
customers, legislation and the trends
affecting them.
Phase 2:
Based on the results from phase 1, the
customer chooses 1-3 topics for us to focus
on. The purpose of this phase is to provide
actionable insights.
