coaching and reflective practice that will build a more
motivated and informed profession
• Success is built on a culture of positive change, the sharing
and cascading of good and outstanding practice and
opportunities for self-evaluation

  • 4. How do youlearn? Research suggests that deep learning is much more likely when learners understand how they learn To what extent is the emphasis on what is to be taught rather than what and how well the recipient learns?

CPD and the future • Educators need to believe in the value of their professional status and their contribution to the success of this country • Teachers and their leaders are influential in the education of all other professionals • The teaching profession is currently the only profession that does not have a mandatory responsibility for their own professional development in order to retain their status • There are significant and well researched opportunities to develop a model of self sustaining, cost effective CPD linked to coaching and reflective practice that will build a more motivated and informed profession • Success is built on a culture of positive change, the sharing and cascading of good and outstanding practice and opportunities for self-evaluation
