3. What is I2T?
What is inspire2teach?
Where are its origins from?
The training / coaching framework
originated from whole school Academy
based coaching programme.
This was initially developed to improve
teaching standards from RI to Good.
5. Initial vision for the hub
⢠To create a quality centre of excellence for teacher training and
support across the Woodard family and beyond.
⢠To develop teachersâ professional capacity, to increase student
progress.
⢠To become a recognised centre for teacher training, initially within
Kent with the aim of becoming a national centre of excellence.
⢠To develop strong professional relationships with link partners, to
support the hub programmes and future developments.
6. ⢠An educational charity tasked with extending education in accordance with
the principles of the Church.
ďś The Woodard Hub will provide a holistic coaching programme, with the aim to
transform the unique potential of each trainee to drive up student progression
within the Woodard family and beyond . This inclusive approach is the Woodard
way.
⢠A family of schools: by sharing practice and doing things together we
become more effective and efficient.
ďś The Woodard Hub will become a centre of shared excellence. Initially the
Academy and its partners will lead the training programmes, with the vision to
increase collaboration, celebrate and recognise best practice in the Woodard
family.
⢠Working with the community promoting the use of the resources of Woodard
schools.
ďś The Woodard Hub will be an innovative forward -thinking environment in a
dedicated space, within the Academy. Key Woodard, educational and community
partners would be able to utilise this shared area.

Shared goals
Inspire2teach as a brand was formed from an programme of support and coaching that existed within St Augustine Academy. This coaching format was developed over a period of four years, working with colleagues to improve standards of teaching from RI to Good. The Woodard Trust, the corporation sponsor for the Academy two years ago approached all Woodard schools offering a grant to create a âhubâ for teaching and learning around a central theme / idea. As an Academy we submitted a proposal based on the following⌠(next slide)
The âHubâ Maidstone â was the proposed teaching and learning concept. Its Vision (next slide)
To create a center of excellence for teacher training support across the Woodard family and beyond.
To develop teachers professional capacity to increase student progress
To become nationally recognised for teacher training
To develop link partnerships to support future hub projects / developments.
This was also our Woodard Hub Misson statement linked closely to the âChurch of Englandâ Ethos that our Academy up holds. Unfortunately after our proposal was submitted we were not chosen to be supported in creating our vision / branded Woodard hub as the corporation felt that our suggested link partner companiesâŚ
The current team at Inspire2teach is small consisting of three main key people. Myself, director of training and main coaching partner / facilitator and my two coaching improvement partners.
More recently I have been in discussion with Mike Fleetham regarding his input into the I2T training programme and visa versa my input in his work. This is an ongoing development which will be continuing to be worked on over the next few months and which I will mentioned again a little later in more detail.
As part of the hub initial application we identified three partner schools who would be willing to work with us on developing the coaching programme. Alongside this I approached Alistair with the proposal that IRIS would be a beneficial partner for us in our initial pilot. From the the FOXFORD pilot was born.
So what is Inspire2teach and how does it work and benefit staff / and link with IRIS connect?
The âInspireâ coaching framework takes the core aspects of learning, work policies / practices and technology and builds them around a clear and simple framework to enable both the coach and the client to have meaningful and supportive sessions.
There has to be an ultimate set of goals within coachingâŚat I2T our over all goals of the training programme are: (read through and discuss these briefly).
Nothing gives you more learning gain than anything else, both with students and as professionals than, âTalking about your work with colleaguesâ. The purity of giving your full attention to someone can make all the difference as a mentor or coach. Understanding them, their personal learning needs and what you can do to support is key to mentoring.
