This document discusses using new media tools to engage students in reflective practice. It introduces the concepts of a personal learning environment (PLE) versus a virtual learning environment (VLE). Various new media tools are presented that can be used on mobile phones for reflection, including social bookmarking, blogging, multimedia creation and sharing, surveys and polls, and social media. The document provides examples of how these tools can be applied and encourages attendees to think about how to use the tools with their own students.
