Basics of Immune System
The immune system is made up of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect the body from infectious organisms and other invaders. A low CD4 count indicates a weakened immune system. Antigens are foreign particles that enter the body, triggering antibodies produced by the immune system to remove the antigens. - 4. Why we need this system. • We need this system because: • So we don’t get sick • So we can protect ourselves from harmful organisms that invade out body • So we don’t have to surrender our body to sickness and disease

- 6. Problems that can occur in this system • If the skin gets cut, disease causing organisms/foreign substances can enter the body • Some times when this happens ( above) the system will become highly sensitive • It will then attack its own tissue
