You must identify: where, when, why and how you will use technology in the learning experiences you are creating for your students.
But before you get started…we need to come to an agreement about the term “blended learning.” According to the iNACOL (the International Association for K12 Online Learning) Blended learning is any time a student learns at least in part at a supervised brick-and-mortar location away from home and at least in part through online delivery with some element of student control over time, place, path, and/or pace; often used synonymously with Hybrid Learning.
We know today’s students are processing information differently as a result we are transforming our classrooms to meet their learning needs and styles. This year the challenge is to create blended learning environments. So…what is blended learning?
How would you define blended learning?
How do you see this approach to learning transforming your classroom?
In a collaborative group, share your thoughts and decide as a group your response to this question. Once you have decided, write your thoughts about what this will look like in your classroom.
