A survey of 29 OpenRice users found that most use it to find restaurants and prefer European cuisine. Some non-users cited misleading information and negative reviews as reasons for not using it. To improve, OpenRice should address review quality issues and offer more coupons to attract more users and positive engagement.

• Food and restaurant guide website which currently operates in Hong
Kong, Macao, China, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and
Thailand.
• Users can enjoy all-round restaurant searching service in town and
post their comments and reviews

• OpenRice has the most comprehensive and complete database of
restaurants.

• OpenRice owns lots of cooperative partners which can give

18. FUTURE DEVELOPMENT
From the survey results, OpenRice should conclude their weakness
and extend improvement space in order to appeal more supporters
and users.
1. In order to appeal more users to provide food review, score system
should be optimized and excellent writer should be granted award.
2. Provide more cost-effective coupon and foretaste activities for
consumers.
3. Create new APP suitable for non-Hong Kong area.
4. Should provide some discounts or coupons for users and need to
collect more comments from guest.
19. CONCLUSION
• OpenRice APP has already become an essential helper in
people’s life. It mainly appeals to youngsters around 15-35
years old, influencing their social life and help them
compare restaurants and make an correct decision.
• Food is an indispensable topic among people, OpenRice
brings together gourmets and restaurant reviews, allowing
users to freely express their views and opinions.
• Reviews of different perspectives create a form of collective
wisdom to give widely respected restaurant scoring and
rankings, and at the same time redefine dining enjoyment.
