2. § Project summary: “My work on Prevalence
and intensity of nematode parasites in
Otolithodes Pama”
§ Contracaecum sp. of the nematode group was
found to be prevalent in pama croaker fish in
Chattogram, Bangladesh
§ Highest prevalence (100%) was observed in
June, moderate in September and October
and the lowest (15%) in August. The intensity
was highest in October and lowest in August

3. § Parasite infestation is a biggest problem in
aquaculture and thus the knowledge about
fish parasites, the diseases they cause and
their control is crucial for sustainable
aquaculture and one health
§ The next step should be determination of the
role of temperature and environmental
conditions on parasite infestation in marine
fishes
