1. In what ways does your media product use, develop
or challenge forms and conventions of real media
products: Teaser Trailer.
With my film trailer I used ideas from current and past films which shows it conventional, such as text being faded
into scenes or the title of the film being shown at the end as well as the dates etc. However such things such as the
actors names I left ambiguous as I wanted it to be a secretive kind of product to attract audiences. My teaser trailer
was based on the research I had completed where I analysed three separate trailers and went through their
differences as well as what makes them conventional and what doesn’t. I then took aspects from my research and
analysis and cooperated them into my own teaser trailer. The genre is obvious to the audience due to the
conventional effects I used. For instance the continuation of the heartbeat and the black and white scenes, also not
using any humour to create tension and the heartbeat was used to create a desired climax. These effects came into
play whilst I did my research and made note of the differences between the conventional and the non
conventional.
The text coming on screen
is one of the similarities I
got from my research.
