Assure Method: Day 2
My students ranging in age between 14-18 years of age, they will create a Voki, QR,
follow a Facebook account involving Phys. Ed., and follow account on Twitter involving Phys.
Ed. I require 100% of my students to have completed these activities and explore the different
ways to create Vokis and QR’s. These tools are fun ways to express students opinions about
Phys. Ed. Students will give 100% effort and attention on making their QR and Voki and show
them to the rest of their students. My students are usually on Twitter and Facebook so I require
my students to follow fitness accounts and sports pages involving Phys. Ed. I want them to
review the accounts and tell me what kinds of tweets they tweet.
A- Students will make QR’s and Vokis with the websites I have given them to create them. My
students all have Facebook accounts and Twitter accounts so I require them to follow fitness
pages allowing them to see different ways to exercise and different sports teams. Students will
review the tweets after following an account of their choice and write a paragraph concerning
what kind of tweets they publish. Their Voki should say something involving sports, eating
healthy, exercising, or how they feel about Phys. Ed. The QR they create should take me
somewhere involving anything that relates to Phys. Ed.
S- By the end of the day, I require all of my students to have competed each task I have given
them to the best of their ability. I’m not grading on how well they did but to see if they gave
100% effort doing everything I’ve asked of them. They should have learned new tools creating
the QR and Voki to discover new ideas about Phys. Ed. The Facebook and Twitter will allow
them to see how to exercise or eat healthy. If they choose to follow sports accounts they can
follow their favorite sports teams and review their tweets.
S- The Websites they use to create their Voki and QR will be provided to them by me at the
beginning of class. The accounts they choose to follow about Phys. Ed. is completely up to them.
By the end of class they should have created their QR and Voki, followed the account of their
choice on Twitter and Facebook, and review the tweets of the account they followed on Twitter.
U- Students will be given the Websites directing them to create their Voki and QR. I just want
my students to be allowed to discover new tools to allow them to give their own opinions about
Phys. Ed. and find others opinions about it. Also I want them to gather new information about
the subject. After they have done that I want them to log into their Facebook account and follow
fitness or anything involving Phys. Ed Facebook account. I also want my students to log into
their Twitter account and follow any account involving Phys. Ed. I also want them to review and
write a paragraph about the tweets of that account and turn them into me.
R- By the end of the class period, each student should have showed me their QR and Voki,
followed a Facebook and Twitter account, and have turned in their paragraph reviewing the
tweets of the Twitter account.
E- This day is me grading them on the amount of effort they give and allowing me to see the
account the reviewed on Twitter. I require 100% effort for participation.
