Assure Method: Day 1
Objective
For my students, ranging between the ages of 14-18 years old, they will be required to
know the content concerning information about the importance of Physical Education. I require
90%-100% of my students to the required work and have the correct information in each of their
projects. To help my students learn the information we will do WebQuests I have provided for
them, watch educational videos on YouTube, listen and make podcasts about phys. Ed., make
posters using PowerPoint, and also make and read blogs concerning sport, exercise, and it’s
benefits. Students will also be required to present their posters to the class and explain the
information on the poster.
A- Students will search the Web concerning the information from the WebQuests about the
history of their favorite sports team and the importance of eating disorders. By the end of the
day I require all of the WebQuests completed and turned in.
S- By the end of the day I require 90%-100% of my students to have completed the
WebQuests and have learned new information about the subjects we have covered including
the importance of eating disorders and the history of their favorite sports team. I will review
the questions they answered to see how accurately they answered them.
2. S- Students will use a printed out sheet I have provided directing them to the certain
Websites so they can get the information they need to get the information. The second
WebQuest is provided for them online, called zunal.com. The one that is printed concerns the
importance of eating disorders and the WebQuest on zunal.com concerns the history of their
favorite sports team.
U- At the beginning of class students will be given the printed out sheet instructing them on
how to get the information about eating disorders. I will instruct them on how to get to the
WebQuest on zunal.com. Students can receive new information they didn’t already know
about the history of their favorite sports teams. This can give them a new insight about how
maybe the team was started and the importance it had for the sport. The eating disorder
WebQuest can allow students to receive important information on the deadliness of eating
disorders and how not to develop one.
R- At the end of class, I will grade the WebQuests which will allow me to see what
information the students retained.
E- I will allow them to revise the WebQuest questions that they have missed. I require 90%-
100% accuracy concerning the questions.
