Assure Method: Day 5
Objective
For my students, ranging between the ages of 14-18 years old, they will be required to
make a PowerPoint presentation of what 21st
century pillar of physical education best deals with.
I require 100% of my students to have this assignment created and presented by the end of class.
They will be in groups of four. They will be graded on how well they present and if they
convince me and their classmates that it is part of that certain pillar they have chosen. They will
choose from critical thinking, math and science, project based learning, languages, globalization,
and character education. At the end of class, the students will present their presentations on the
Smart Board.
A- Still will research the different pillars and associate which best fits Phys. Ed. They will be
required to use PowerPoint and present it in front of the class by the end of the day. I will divide
S- By the end of the day, I require that 100% of my students have their presentations ready and
have presented them. I will grade them on the argument they make concerning which 21st
century pillar of education goes best with Phys. Ed. and how well their PowerPoint is organized.
S- At the beginning of class, I will go over the pillars of education and students must research the
Internet of what they mean and which best associates with Phys. Ed. They will then create a
PowerPoint and present it to the class using the Smart Board provided to them in the classroom.

2. U- For this assignment, I’m grading the students on how well they argue which pillar of
education best associated with Phys. Ed. I will also be grading them on how well their
PowerPoint presentation is organized and presented. I require that each group have their
PowerPoint and presentation presented.
R- By the end of class every group should be done with their PowerPoint and presented their
presentation on the Smart Board. They will be graded on how well they present and argue their
topic and how well their PowerPoint was presented.
E- Each student should give 100% effort on this assignment and will present their PowerPoint.
After this has been done, each group will receive credit for this assignment.
