6. Dramatizing the bike accident 
Skill transferred : Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing 
Content analysis : In this narrative Anilkumar described how he defeat his 
pathetic life condition 
Pre‐ requisites : The learner may know the stories of great personalities who 
defeat their pathetic life condition 
Teaching‐ learning resources : Source book, course book, laptop, dictionary

Teacher initiates an informal interaction with 
the pupils and try to sustain the interest 
throughout the class

Teacher shows a video clip of an accident and 
pictures through technology

Teacher leads the learner to the write up and 
title is written on the Black Board

1. Model reading by the teacher 
Teacher reads the first 3
paragraphs of the write up with appropriate

2. Silent Reading by the Pupils: 
Teacher asks the pupils to read the

a. Who wrote the write up? 
b. How the accident happened? 
c. Where he admitted first? 
3. Analysis and Understanding 
Teacher asks the students to 
share their doubts and thoughts. 
Teacher introduces the new words and its 
meaning through projector

I couldn’t trace the letter you 
mentioned
