A LESSON PLAN FOR ENGLISH GRADE 10
TIME ALLOTMENT: 1 HR.
GRADE LEVEL/SECTION: 10-PATIENCE
CLASS SCHEDULE: 7:30-8:30
I.OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, at least 85% of the
students will be able to:
a. create visual representation (concept map, organizer,
etc)based on the material viewed,
b. share appreciation and experience on the visited place
in the Philippines and;
c. express/elaborate own idea based on a given situation.

 YES/NO SHOOT!
The learners will create 5 groups with 6 members each.
The teacher reads strips of statements answerable with
a Yes or No. The learner will simply shoot the ball to
YES basket if they agree and NO basket if otherwise.
Every correct answer has corresponding points.

 The teacher will choose 5 pairs to share their
output to class.

 List 10 things from the video where Filipinos being proud of.

Research and take notes on the sources of information.

TAPIO SST-I MNHS-ANNEX LALAWAN DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION REGION X-NORTHEN MINDANAO MANAGOK NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL-ANNEX LLAWAN P4 LALAWAN, LINABO MALAYBALAY CITY A LESSON PLAN FOR ENGLISH GRADE 10 TIME ALLOTMENT: 1 HR. GRADE LEVEL/SECTION: 10-PATIENCE CLASS SCHEDULE: 7:30-8:30 I.OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, at least 85% of the students will be able to: a. create visual representation (concept map, organizer, etc)based on the material viewed, b. share appreciation and experience on the visited place in the Philippines and; c. express/elaborate own idea based on a given situation. II.SUBJECT MATTER TOPIC: REBUILDING OUR SOCIETIES SUB-TOPIC: APPROACHING/RESPECTING DIFFERENCES REFERENCE: DIVERSITY:Celebrating Multiculturism Through World Literature (Module 4, Lesson 1 Pages 407-409)(Code No.EN10LC-IVa-16) MATERIALS: Learners Manual Pages 407-409 Worksheet Strips of statements Video clip DLP III.PROCEDURE A. Preliminaries (5 min.)  Prayer  Checking of Attendance  Presentation of Objectives B. Lesson Proper B.1. Activity (10 min.)  YES/NO SHOOT! The learners will create 5 groups with 6 members each. The teacher reads strips of statements answerable with a Yes or No. The learner will simply shoot the ball to YES basket if they agree and NO basket if otherwise. Every correct answer has corresponding points.
  • 2. 2 B.2 . Analysis(15 min.)  SHARE IT! The teacher will ask the learners:  Have you visited another place? Let the learners share their experiences and discoveriesabout their travels. The teacher will show pictures.  Give your observations  What do you love being a Filipino?  If given a chance to travel for free, which destination will you visit first? B.3.Abstraction (10 min.)  Show video clip(twice) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADNgEHFDYzo) After watching the video  Did you see how different our country really is?  What new information did you gather from the video?  Did you notice that Filipinos is very creative specifically in the use of language?  Do you think that the social media particularly YouTube is more effective in promoting a campaign than other forms of communication, like the print media?  Can we say that it is really more fun in the Philippines? B.4.Application (10-15 min.)  After watching the video clip  Dyad Activity  Let the learner complete the concept map based on the video clip presented.  The teacher will choose 5 pairs to share their output to class. C. Generalization (5 mins.)  What makes you proud being a Filipino? IV. EVALUATION  Listening Test(It’s More Fun in the Philippines by Apl de Ap)  List 10 things from the video where Filipinos being proud of. V. ASSIGNMENT Research and take notes on the sources of information. VI.ENRICHMENT/REMEDIAL  Recall on the people’s culture and tradition of the place you’ve been to. Share it to class.
