Educational technology is a
complex, integrated process
involving people, procedures,
ideas, devices and organization for
analyzing problems and devising,
implementing, evaluating and
managing solutions to those
problems involved in all aspects of
human learning. (AECT, 1977)
Instructional technology is the
theory and practice of design,
development, utilization,
management and evaluation of
processes and resources for
learning. (AECT, 1994)
Educational technology is the
study and ethical practice of
facilitating learning and improving
performance by creating, using and
managing appropriate
technological processes and
resources. (AECT, 2004)
1977 1994 2004
4. Educational Technology involves the disciplined
application of knowledge for the purpose of
improving learning, instruction and/or
performance.
- Michael Spector, 2015
Educational technology is the study and ethical application of
theory, research, and best practices to advance knowledge as
well as mediate and improve learning and performance
through the strategic design, management and
implementation of learning and instructional
processes and resources.

TP 4.0Cyber-Physical Systems (CPSs)
CPSs merge the physical and cyber
worlds by a tight integration of
computation, communication, and
control cores with physical processes
using sensors, actuators and feedback
loops where physical processes affect
computation and vice-versa.
• cyberizing the physical: by modeling
physical systems and interacting with
them
• physicalizing the cyber: by acquiring
and processing information about
physical systems
