2. Age
Our film may appeal to any age range, but it
may exert a pull on audience from the age of
12-52. This is because the characters in our
film are of this age range and will enjoy the
bad relationship between the mother and her
daughters boyfriend, thus attractive to an
audience who are of similar age and can relate
to the situation that evolves around the place.
3. Gender
Our film is suitable for male and females. The
audience are able to see the relationship
between both genders and recognize the
differences between the mother, her daughter
and Trevor (the boyfriend). We have included
stereotypes for both genders allowing the
audience to relate to the characters and enjoy
their comical presence on the TV.
4. Socio-economic Groups
• The socio-economic group that we have selected are E to B.
This is because the characters in the film e.g. the fits into
group B as she lives in a nice, spacious home meaning she has
a good job, and she has high expectations for her daughter.
Therefore audience who fit into the group can relate more to
her character.
• We also selected group E because the character Trevor
(boyfriend) is portrayed as unemployed young man who is
unskilled. Which explains why the mother does not approve of
him. Furthermore audience of this group can relate more to
this character, and see the main reason of this comical conflict.
5. BBFC
• We have selected 12A. This means that the
person can watch the film under the
supervision of an adult over the age of 18. This
is because there are elements of discrimination
and stereotypes against all the characters in the
film, however we have disguised it with
comedy so that young viewers cannot be
affected by this.
