2. The Director
• The director is responsible for the production and
how it runs. The director is the person who normally
comes up with the idea and the genre, their job is
also to find the location, find and hire the
actors, construct how the production is set out to a
high standard, and lastly the director would help and
guide the crew and the actors on their role. The role
of the director is on going throughout the whole
process as there input is important through post
production and pre production.
3. The Director
• Director: Uzair Babar
• Why? Uzair directed our last
production to a high standard and
decided to be director again. Also he
does A level Drama therefore he is able
to recognise potential acting for our
production. Uzair is a very creative
person who also does A level English
allowing him to have original ideas. As
he has to find a location and good actors
this makes him an organised person
allowing him to be a good leader.
4. The Editor
• The editor is the person who edits the final product
making it look better and adding effects such as
sounds, colour etc. Once the footage has been filmed
the editor overlooks the footage and decides with the
director which scenes to use, what music to add ,what
colours and how long they want the scene, lastly the
director/editor also decide what shots to use. The
editor is involved in the post production process.
5. The Editor
• Editor: Anuka Barua
Why? Anuka is experienced with her
editing skills and enjoys editing pieces of
work, she is very good at adding
affects, sounds and knows what shots to
use. Anuka is a reliable person and
confident person who is able to make an
outstanding production with her editing
skills.
6. The Cameraperson
• The cameraperson is responsible for operating the
camera, looking after the camera and being able to
maintain the composition and camera angles
throughout the whole filming process. During the
production the editor works alongside with the
director as they construct the scene telling the camera
person what the film should be like and what shots to
use.
7. The Cameraperson
• Cameraperson: Hiba Butt
• Why? Through AS media I enjoyed
filming the last production, able to use
the camera confidently and effectively.
As the cameraperson I am able to
listen to what the director is saying and
having the input from the editor too
also giving my views to both director
and editor which is beneficial for all of
us.
8. Sound Managers
• The sound managers are responsible for the sound of
the production. They decide which sound effects,
background music, or any audio which is needed for
the film production. The audio is likely to be non –
diegetic/diegetic sound, asynchronous/synchronous
or any other sound which they feel is appropriate.
The sound managers are just as important as the
director, editor and cameraperson because sound
makes the audience feel more emotion to what is
being shown and audio gives out more of a message.
9. The Soundmanagers
• Who? Anuka Barua, Hiba Butt, Uzair Babar
Why? As a group we are all pitching in to do
sound as all three of us in the group will have an
opinion on what sounds to use. As we all have
individual roles it is more effective for us to work
in a team.
