OUR FILM IS CALLED ‘THE SURVIVAL’ AS IT IS A RACE FOR THE LIFE'S OF TWO
WOMEN. WE THOUGHT THIS WAS A SUITABLE TITLE AS IT EXPLAINS THERE IS
SOMEONE WHO NEEDS TO SURVIVE BUT DOESN’T GIVE TOO MUCH AWAY.

2. Will Smith Staring as Chris Edward.
A middle-class man who has fell ill
with a life threatening disease with
only a few weeks to live. Will Smith
is suitable for this character as he is
a famous actor which will make the
film more popular, also he has a lot
of experience in dramas and family
tv such as The Pursuit Of
Happyness’ ,which Jaden Smith also
starred in. He is an emotional actor
therefore will be perfect for this
role.
Jaden Smith starring as Liam
Edward. Son of Chris and Sarah. He
is a strong independent boy who
will do anything to save his father.
We chose Jaden as he is Will
Smith’s son in real life so the love
between them will be shown in
greater depth as they can relate it
to real life. He is suitable for this
character as in ‘Pursuit Of
Happyness’ he had to follow his
father and remain calm in many
difficult situations but also showed
emotion and understanding to the
situation which would be perfect
for this film.
Halle Berry starring as Sarah Edward, a
powerful loving wife of Chris. She is
confident she will be able to save he
husband but doesn’t expect the
unexpected. We chose Halle Berry as she
has starred in films such as James Bond so
is exceptional in action which this film has
some off but also is a skilled actress which
would fit the role perfect as she is strong
minded. As she was in ‘X-men’ also this
shows action and being in difficult
situations she is used to. This is pefect for
our film as the experience will make it
better acting.

3. Liam Neeson starring as Michael
Davies, a poor working class man
who provides for his family.
However as his wife is getting
more ill he has to take a step back
and go travelling with his
daughter for the cure. He is an ex
army cadet who knows the ins
and outs of the area but doesn’t
know how to be a team worker,
which comes clear as he is faces
with difficult decisions. Liam is
good for this role as we want him
to be like he was in ‘Taken’;
Defensive yet independent. He
works well with action. His
character poses like a caring
father and husband but is
interested in anything where
money is involved.
Rose Byrne starring as Elizabeth
Davies.
When Elizabeth is diagnosed
with a rare disease she has to
drop out of work, as the family's
finance gets worse the stress
causes Rose to almost die, with
no other option to save her but
get the treatment she is left at
home. She is a caring wife and
mother. Rose will be perfect for
this role as, like in ‘Insidious 2’,
she has been in thrillers were
family issues have been an
extreme drama.
Jennifer Lawrence starring as Daisy Davies.
Daisy is in College and an A grade student.
She is very smart and devotes most her time
to studying. As an unlikely practical person
when she has to go on this journey she has
to transform herself. In the ‘Hunger Games’
Jennifer was emotional, caring and a strong
fighter that uses initiative. In this film she
would slowly find these traits again and
become the leader of her family.

4. Target audience
 Our BBFC for he film is 12A so it will bring in a big income as all ages can
watch it. They’re will be a mixture of suitable violence and drama.
 The cast has lots of big names which with their individual fans, it will draw
a lot of attention.
 Although it is a 12A it isn’t just aimed at this audience but hopefully other
audiences such as teenagers and adults as it doesn’t contain ‘childish’
nature.

5. Interest for audience
• For our first scene it will show the farther of one family (Chris Edward) and
the son of the same family (Liam Edward) exploring the dark gloomy
woods.
• This will create an interest for the audience as they are unaware as to why
the family is trekking through the woods.
• They would be asking them selves questions like who are they? What are
they doing there? What is going to happen?

6. Storyline
 Two families are suffering as a mother from one and a farther from the
other are both suffering with the same life threating illness but there is
only one cure in the entire world. Both families have to go on a trek of life
in order to find this cure. The first family consists of a mother (Sarah
Edward) and a son (Liam Edward) whilst the second family consists of a
mother (Elizabeth Davies) and a daughter (Daisy Davies).
 Both families come across each other eventually but what they don’t is
realise that there is only one cure in the whole world so will have to battle
it out in order to save their loved ones.

7. Theme
 Love for each family members
 Rivalry between both families
to get the cue for one father and one mother
 Davies father has money issues so has to find or earn money to pay for the
cure
 Drama of a death to one of the family members.

8. Setting
 gloomy forest
 Noises of animals/ insects
 smell of rotten vegetation
 Can feel the mist and fog on their skin
 Past deaths from the disease in the forest and is a risk of catching it but
very slim chance.
 Certain areas in the forest are booby trapped.
 Each family have only two path ways to pick from one takes them to death
and one takes them to the cure

9. Uses of marketing we will use:
 Buses-You can create large blow ups of the film you are advertising, you can
also include creative techniques to engage the audience with maybe a funny,
interesting advertisement that the audience will maybe talk about to their
friends and family that will increase the amount of people the advertisement
method is reaching.
 Posters- you can advertise on walls near the cinema you can place vibrant, eye
catching posters that would stick in the audiences mind and if they like the
look of the poster they will be more likely to watch the movie, also this is a
cheap and effective way to promote the movie.
 Cinema-You can advertise to your target audience by showing it at the same
film certificate before another film in the cinema with a trailer.
 Billboards-They are used to catch peoples eyes and also create a memorable
impression very quickly also people will see them while driving and they will
usually be bored and this could make them start thinking about the film
