Case Bottling Essay example
Problem Statement:
The main problem in this case "Bottling at Creemore Springs Brewery" is that will the cleaning of
the bottles change to be in the house cleaning or maintain its current method of cleaning with a
contractor. Having Thompson and Fuller responsible for the decision to be made, which have to be a
strategic one or it will effect the long term profitability and success of the company. They have to
make the company be more productive and efficient.
Problems/Sub problems/Issues:
There are two kinds of aspects in this case, one is the current cleaning process and the other is the
new cleaning process.
The current processes of cleaning the bottles have been done fairly well. The Creemore Spring

The machine would then do all the work from cleaning the bottles and sterilizing. The bottles then
would be removed for refilling and send to the sellers.
Calculations:
–Number of bottled that are cleaned and reused:

–Salaries per year for part time workers:
$12.50 * 2 * 460 = $11,500
–Maintenance worker salary per year:
$20 * 460 = $9,200
–Cost of disposables per year:
$6 * 5 * 460 = $13,800
–Utility costs for running the new machine per year:
($2.15 * 460) + ($2.33 * 460) + ($4.60 * 460) = $4176.80
–Total cost per year for in–house cleaning method:
$11,500 + $9,200 + $13,800 + $4176.80 = $38,676.80

Robert Frost
The only thing that is constant in the world is change. As Homosapiens have progressed from
primitive hunter gatherers to the biggest apex predators on the planet, nothing has stayed the same.
Some epochs were plagued with war and famine while others spurred immeasurable innovation.
From infinitesimal events to yearlong world wars, time has managed to converge to this specific
point in the present. Yet technological progress in the forms of snappier smartphones and virtual
reality goggles have allowed today's inhabitants to forget about real reality and the countless events
that have shaped it. Robert Frost reminds us that time's cyclical holds both healing and destructive
properties in his eloquent poem "Spring Pools." Robert Frost was born in San Francisco on March
26, 1874. He was a farmer, a father of six children, but important of all he was a poet. He is highly
regarded for his realistic portrayals of rural life and his mastery of American colloquial speech. His
work frequently employed scenarios of rural life in New England at the beginning of the 20th
century, using them to examine complex social and philosophical issues. Frost was honored
frequently during his lifetime, receiving four Pulitzer prizes for poetry and even a Nobel Prize
nominee in literature. He published "Spring Pools" in 1929 inside a volume of poems titled West
Running Brook. During this time Frost taught English at Amherst College in Massachusetts. He
called his simplistic use of language as "the

Outside Of House Painting Analysis
It is possible to paint the outside of your house in the winter time. Here are a few things you need to
take into consideration before painting the outside of your house this winter. Look At The
Temperature Your Materials Will Work At The first thing you need to do is look at all the material
that you need to use to paint the outside of your house and determine what temperature the materials
work effectively at. For example, if the outside of your house has already been prepared for paint
before the cold weather struck, only your paint needs to stand up to cold weather. Or, if the outside
of the house has not been prepared yet, you need to make sure that any caulk, fillers and primers you
need to use, as well as the paint, will be able ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, caulking, fillers and primers often need warmer weather to work properly. Be sure to read
the directions on all materials that you purchase carefully. Find Out The Surface Temperature Next,
before you start painting, you need to find out not just what the air temperature will be, you also
need to figure out what the surface temperature of your home is. Often times, the surface
temperature of your home will be cooler than the outside temperature. Just because you have one
warm day does not mean that the outside of your house has had time to warm up. You will need to
purchase a tool specifically designed to measure the surface temperature of objects. You will need to
purchase a thermometer with a probe so you can figure out the surface temperature of your home.
You should be able to find this tool at your local home improvement or building store. Work With
The Sun If you decide the temperature outside is warm enough to paint, you need to start working as
soon as the sun comes up and the weather warms up. You also need to work with the sun. Follow the
sun around the house as you paint; when the sun moves, you need to move as well. Once the
temperatures begin the downward slide, stop

Blount Springs Observation
The objective of the trip to Blount Springs, Alabama was to observe and gather data on the
geological structure of the area. Blount Springs is located in the northern part of Alabama just 33
miles north of Birmingham, and lies on the southernmost part of the Appalachian fold belt. The field
work began on the morning of Saturday April, 7th at 8:50am. The weather was cloudy with
temperatures in the mid 40's, and the area was wet from rain the previous night. Our materials
included a map of the area, list of formations, a Brunton compass, and a Rite in the Rain field book.
The procedure of the field work involved 12 stops at outcrops to gather data, one stop was omitted
from the original plans. This data gathered included bedding and joint orientations ... Show more

This formation is a very fine grain Mississippian limestone. To test to see if this was the Bangor
formation we used HCL and because there was a reaction we know its limestone. This formation
could also be described as gray in color as well as an average thickness of 700 feet. We see the
Bangor until stop eight, where we see a very different vertical bedding. Also different at stop eight is
the outcrop no longer reacts with HCL. From this we gathered that we had moved into the Hartselle
formation. In the Hartselle Formation, Mississippian aged sandstones are dominant. This particular
stop had a large amount of jointing. After the Hartselle, we figured the Pride Mountain Formation
would be next, however at stop nine we see the Maury Formation present. This stop focused on the
rock located inside the creek. Because we were unable to go into the creek to get the strike and dips,
we once again had to do a projected orientation. Also found on this stop were natural sulfur springs,
easy to notice with the smell that it gives off. The Maury formation consist of Mississippian–
Silurian aged shale. At the next stop, stop 10, we encounter the Ft. Payne formation. Although this
area location was thickly vegetated, we were able to conduct the acid test and saw that the HCL
reacts in some places but not all. From this we concluded that this was the cherty limestone of the
Ft. Payne formation. The following stop, 12, we went up section and arrived at the Maury Formation
once again. At the final stop, location 13, we see Ft. Payne Formation. All of the metamorphism and
deformation in the southernmost Appalachians can be related to the movement of the thrust sheets
and stacks (Higgins,

Canyon Lake : A Popular Place Of Recreation For The...
Canyon Lake has always been a popular place of recreation for the citizens of Rapid City. Former
Pennington county official C. E. completely encapsulated the pleasure that Canyon Lake brings to
the citizens of Rapid City in one simple statement, "I know of nothing which adds to the real
pleasure of living in a community so much as does a body of water" (C.E. Smith). But this
picturesque local park is not as pure as it seems, the small local reservoir has many unhealthy
ecological problems hidden below the surface of the water. This a problem that could jeopardize the
health of the lake, as well as the recreation of this park, therefore it is imperative to clean and
improve the health of this lake. The Reservoir is a small man–made ... Show more content on

According to Mike Kintigh of the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks, Canyon Lake is regularly
stocked with catchable–sized rainbow trout. Catchable–sized rainbow trout are defined as being
between eleven and fifteen inches. Mike used the phrase " Stock and Take" while describing Canyon
Lake, according to him this means that fish are regularly stocked every three weeks for the purpose
to be caught by anglers. He stated that the main purpose of Canyon lake was for fun, entertainment,
and recreation (Mike Kintigh, Game Fish and Parks). This is obviously true due to the fact of the
popularity of canyon lake.
Alternatively, to those who support the clean up of Canyon Lake, the price is a trivial factor in the
grand scheme. Proponents of revitalizing the reservoir argue that cleaning the lake would positively
affect the health of the lake, the recreation of the park, and even the revenue of surrounding
businesses. Many of the problems plaguing this body of water can be with a few simple steps. The
water testing showed many detrimental environmental effects. Measurements of Canyon Lake were
done using a classroom set of water testing chemicals. The pH level of the water was six point five
on the pH scale, this is common and does not show any problems with Ph. The nitrate level was
unusually high for a body of water measuring point one parts per million. Grievously, the reservoir

Spring Sports Research Papers
The winter season can be a time for some athletes at Perry to focus on preparation for the spring
sports season. The springtime for athletics at Perry is shining time of the year filled with memorable
performances and a few Far East Championships. With the weather dropping into the 30's players
are forced to enter the weight room for their training regiments. The work that is put in during the
offseason when nobody is watching will play dividends on the field in February. With the tasks of
training on your own, one must have a clear vision of where they are at currently and the
improvements they wish to accomplish before they start their respective spring sports. Among the
athletes at Perry that chose to focus on their spring aspirations are juniors, Kai Lange and ... Show

upcoming season, there needs to be a specific timeline of training. This timeline should include a set
weight routine for at least 3 times a week, as well as some type of skill development on the
weekend. "For preparation for the season I train by myself as well as with the JMSDF men's soccer
team." said Lange. The winter time is to improve strength not necessarily skill development. The
time to start getting game ready comes a month or so before the start of the season. The time that is
spent with resistance and weight training will give you the advantage over your competition. It is
important to work out smart and stop if you notice signs of fatigue or unusual pain. Muscle fatigue

Analysis Of Thoreau 's ' Solitude '
Thoreau opens "Solitude" with a melodious articulation of his pleasure in and sensitivity for nature.
When he comes back to his home in the wake of strolling at night, he finds that guests have ceased
by, which prompts him to remark both on his strict separation from others while at the lake and on
the non–literal space between men. There is closeness in his association with nature, which gives
adequate fraternity and blocks the likelihood of forlornness. The immensity of the universe puts the
space between men in context. Thoreau brings up that on the off chance that we accomplish a more
prominent closeness to nature and the heavenly, we won 't require physical nearness to others in the
"station, the mail station, the tavern, the meeting–house, the school building" – places that offer the
sort of organization that diverts and disperses. He remarks on man 's double nature as a physical
element and as a scholarly observer inside his own particular body, which isolates a man from
himself and adds encourage point of view to his separation from others. Also, a man is constantly
alone when thinking and working. He finishes up the part by alluding to allegorical guests who
speak to God and nature, to his own unity with nature, and to the wellbeing and imperativeness that
nature gives. Proceeding with the topic created in "Higher Laws," "Brute Neighbors" opens with an
exchange amongst Hermit and Poet, who typify spellbound parts of the creator himself (creature

Adversity Persuasive Letter
March 29, 2018
Dear Avery,
This is a letter about dealing with adversity, learning and then becoming a better person because of
your experience.
"That which does not kill me makes me stronger." – Friedrich Nietzsche
Happy Spring Avery! It has been a pretty rough winter with lots of snow and cold weather. (The
potholes in NEPA are unbelievable. Pop had to replace two tires this winter.) But signs of spring are
everywhere – baseball's opening day was yesterday, robins abound (tweet, tweet) and Sunday is
Easter. We will have 39 people at Pinky and Pop's house for lunch, including you! Sara and Kevin
will not be here as they are in Hawaii this Easter. For lunch, we'll have Pork, ham, Italian Easter pie
& kielbasa, your favorite – baked beans, pagach, pasta salad, a variety of deserts and plenty of
coffee. We will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

it is our attitude, our point of view, that makes all the difference. Being optimistic and resilient in the
face of adversity is not always easy but it certainly is the right and proper philosophy. Even more, I
suggest you take it one step further. Strive to become better, stronger, and wiser from the inevitable
misfortunes that occur in life. Don't just endure, but grow from setbacks. View mistakes, trouble and
heartaches, randomness, disorder and stress as nothing more than opportunities to grow. They are
learning experiences. Don't just recover from your troubles but get better, prosper from

The Need for Groundwater Extraction Regulation
Groundwater is used primarily for irrigating farmland; and secondarily, for consumption and
industrial use. Aquifers, unconsolidated subterranean layers which hold water, are rapidly
dwindling, and groundwater depletion is quickly growing to become a major problem for farmers
and the public at large. Reserves close to ground level are rapidly drying up and due to technological
roadblocks, extracting water from deeper reserves is not yet financially feasible. The problem is
especially severe in California, which represents around 20% of all groundwater withdrawal in the
United States (Famiglietti, LA Times). A lack of water for agriculture would directly lead to
diminished food production and indirectly lead to requiring food imports from outside the state.
Groundwater resources are an unregulated public resource and despite any innovative breakthrough
in extraction techniques, the only sustainable, long–term solution is to enforce limits on extraction.
Regulation of how much groundwater can be extracted from an aquifer in a set period of time; along
with incentives to obtain water from alternative sources is the ideal solution to address the
perennially growing challenge of groundwater depletion in California.
This regulatory effort must begin in politics but it needs to spread to society as well – only when
people realize the consequences of over–extraction will they even consider ceasing doing so. This
solution is not based primarily in science and technology, and is

rejection. But it's important not to feel discouraged. Hematite is a powerhouse of absorbing and
dissipating negative energy. Use it to keep your spirits up and your next success will be right around
the corner. Combinations: You can use the crystals mentioned above in combination to address your

Polixenes Jealousy
Furthermore, Shakespeare probably even sees vices as a beautiful work of nature, as how Polixenes
talks to Perdita about the carnations: nature is made better by no mean
But nature makes that mean: so, over that art
Which you say adds to nature, is an art
That nature makes. (4.4.104–7)
The word "mean" here might possess double meanings– it might not only refer to the method that
nature teaches man to plant and graft, but the word "mean" might also suggest the base quality of
man's meanness and inferiority. Here Polixenes speak of the beauty of grafting flowers, yet on a
broader view, Shakespeare might also suggest the significance to accept negative qualities, such as
melancholy, jealousy, and even foolishness, as natural and beautiful. For ... Show more content on

Even Time accuses Leontes, "The effects of his fond jealousies so grieving/ That he shuts up
himself" (4.1.18–9). The rejection of any possibility to change is a greater evil than the evil itself.
On the one hand, if the committer of a crime forever repents, he can no longer taste happiness. Ever
since Leontes admits it is his "shame perpetual," and swears, "Once a day I'll visit/ The chapel
where they lie, and tears shed there/ Shall be my recreation," his joy stops for more than a decade
(3.2.255–8). He would still regret at the sight of Florizel, "I lost a couple" (5.1.16). Hence, he looks
only back on objects dead. On the other hand, if the victim does not forgive, he can share no joy,
either. After Paulina condemns Leonte, "A thousand knees.../ Upon a barren mountain and still
winter/ In storm perpetual, could not move the gods/ To look that way thou wert," she not only loses
her husband, but also laments with "criminal" in the same manner (3.2.224–8). In the above two
quotes, the word "perpetual" appears twice– both of them cannot forgive, so they deny the
possibility of all. Because of this, their vows are against nature and time, as there is no such thing as
"perpetual" in a world with "Time." As a result, they lead to their own mishaps– it is even probable
that they own belief in the oracle has realized the torturing oracle

The Four Seasons Of The Year !
The four seasons of the year! Love every season. Each season has its own unique feel to the year.
For winter there is cold weather, which means bringing and starting the New Year. Summer, who
doesn't love them hot summer days, eating anything that is cold. Spring, for them raining days,
where the smell of fresh flowers begin to blossom, and grow. Lastly, fall. Fall is when it's time for
the kids to head back to school, or those Saturday night college football games to come on. Every
season is meaningful in some way throughout the year and some can't wait for their favorite season
to approach. I know fall is mines, and I know I can't wait either. Winter! Those cold, brisk days,
seeing your breath as you walk outside, that's when you know winter is here. Temperatures get
below 30's, and the heater is going in every home. The smell of hot chocolate, tea, and coffee warms
the bodies of many cold people. Sometimes if you're lucky, snow will appear, and you can go
outside and make a snowman, and snow angles. The white glistening of the snow fall on your cheek,
as it is silent outside you can hear the calmness of the snow falling from the sky onto the ground.
Attire is different for the season also. Hats, scarfs, jackets, and boots are in order for the winter. The
favorite part about winter is you knew Christmas was coming! The excitement of knowing you're
going to wake up early at 6 a.m. and there would be freshly wrapped presents under the light, bright

Softball, My Life : The Story Of Softball : My Life
Softball is my life. I have always played it and always been around it. It is the thing I truly love to
do and I don't know what I would do without it. This is my story about softball. When I began
softball I was five years old. I don't really remember it all that well, the only thing I truly remember
is my first team. My first team team was extreme, it was my sister team. Even though I don't truly
remember it, I know it was fun, for me at least. When starting out at a young age it's hard for the
parents because we are not good. Everything is just playing in the dirt, trying new positions, and not
paying attention. Im very glad that my parents started me in softball because it's now my favorite
sport. For many years when I was younger and playing, I had to find new teams yearly. I had to do
this because I was always the youngest one on the team. I always hated doing this because I would
always have to make new friends and I just wanted a team I could stick with. At one point I had
found a team that I played with for about three years. My dad had taken over that team and it was a
blast. Until one of our years it was terrible, I had almost not wanted to play anymore because of how
bad it was. Thankfully we knew a team that I could possibly go to, the only difference was that they
were two years older than what division I was in. The coaches had given me a chance and now I
have been on this team for three years. The team i've been on is Extreme, I think it's funny because

Water Evenness
We found that water's edge contained a much higher species richness and Shannon diversity index
than the other two, but the evenness is lower than the other two. The higher species richness and
Shannon diversity index could be due to the diverse vegetation growing around the pond. The lower
evenness tells us that this site is less diverse than the other two sites. Secondly, the wooded area
contained slightly lower species richness and Shannon diversity index than the water's edge;
however, the evenness was higher than the evenness at the water's edge. Due to the lower amount of
species and that the site is subject to runoff could cause the slight difference in the species richness
and Shannon diversity index. It also affects the higher ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The high evenness is due to fewer species being present at this site. The results of this lab supported
my hypothesis that the water's edge would have the highest biodiversity, the wooded area would
have medium biodiversity, and the manicured lawn would have the lowest biodiversity. The reason
that the results support my hypothesis is that the water's edge had a diverse vegetation around it for
a variety of species to be found. It also had the pond where species could be found. The wooded area
contained many layers of leave coverage which is good for some species but bad for others. The
wooded area is also subject to runoff which reduced the number of small species that could be found
on the ground. The manicured lawn is cut often causing a reduced amount of species that would be
found on the ground and not enough trees to counteract the cutting affect. The biodiversity of the
three sites are comparable by the evenness being greater with low species richness. The sites are also
comparable by the shannon diversity index being higher as the species richness is increased. An
ecological explanation that we observed was that an area with low evenness were less likely to
interact with each other. The area with a higher evenness would

Example Of La Primavera
Exploration Document

Cultural Artifacts
My first work is "La Primavera" written by the Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi in 1723. "La
Primavera" is one of four violin concertos, each capturing moods and illustrating stories related to a
specific time of year. Each section within this movement illustrate the most beautiful scenes of the
spring season, including birds, babbling brooks, and a thunderstorm. (Soomo, n.d). My second work
is an oil on canvas painting, titled "The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone" by Thomas Moran. "The
Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone" was painted in 1872 and captures the unique geological
formations and diverse and extravagant colors of the Midwestern United States landscape. (Cantrell,
2014). "In an era before color photography, this painting depicts nature itself as a hero". (Soomo,
n.d)
Common Theme
The common theme shared by both chosen pieces of work is nature. Antonio Vivaldi embraces the
spring season and captures the moods and illustrates stories specific to that time of year. Thomas
Moran captured the true beauty of a Midwestern landscape of the United States. The colors, terrain,
and overall detail are realistic and allow the viewer to experience the extreme beauty of the
Midwest. "Historians credit these inspiring images with showing the grandeur of the region and
persuading Congress and President Ulysses Grant to establish Yellowstone as the first national park
in 1872." (Cantrell, 2014).

Data And Analyse Facility Utilisation And Unused Capacity
Task 2: Utilisation information– evidence/facts, data and analyse facility utilisation and unused
capacity
Occupancy rate: hotel Sofitel is an international brand so the popularity of the hotel is increasing
day by day. As Sofitel hotel is licensed with planet 21 gold certificate. It uses eco–friendly products
and balanced dishes. So now the occupancy rate of the hotel is increasing. It has increased to 86%
from 83% in last one year.
Average room rate: Room rate of Sofitel hotel depends upon the type of the rooms. But average
room rate starts from $285 NZD. But the prestige and junior suites will have higher rate than that. It
differs because different rooms provide different facilities.
Yield percentage: Yield percentage information cannot be gained by the hotel as it is an internal
information. But as I researched about the yield percentage of hotel Sofitel they mentioned that
normally it is depending on the seasons and how many customers are visiting to their hotel in certain
time period.
Seasonality: seasonality matters a lot in the hotel industry as the occupancy is influenced by the
different seasons. New Zealand has four seasons. Those are called summer, autumn, winter and
Spring which are totally different from each other.

Balch Creek Case Study
Balch Creek begins in the Forest Park neighborhood in unincorporated Multnomah County near the
intersection of Northwest Skyline Boulevard and Northwest Thompson Road at the crest of the West
Hills. It flows generally east about 3.5 miles (5.6 km) to its confluence with the Willamette River, a
major tributary of the Columbia River.[4] The creek drops from 1,116 feet (340 m) above sea level
at its source to 46 feet (14 m) at its mouth, a total of 1,070 feet (330 m).[1][2] Most of this occurs in
the first 2.5 miles (4.0 km). In the hills, the stream gradient (slope) generally ranges from 15 to 30
percent interspersed with sections of less than 15 percent along the middle reaches.[9]
From its source, the creek runs east on private property near

Analysis Of Winnie Lonely
Lonely Page 13,14,15 it states "Winnie Foster sat on the bristly grass just inside the fence and said
to the large toad who was squatting a few yards away across the road, "I will, though. You'll see.
Also on page 14 it also states, "She made a game of it anyway, tossing pebbles at such an angle that
they passed through the gnat cloud on their way to the toad. On page 15 it also states why Winnie
foster is lonely because she is telling the toad why should you have to be cooped up in a cage, too?
She is basically saying why do u have to be locked up to and have no freedom. And on page 13 I
picked that certain detail of why she was lonely because it states she is outside sitting on the grass
and inside a fence and she is talking to a toad this shows she is lonely because she had nothing to do
and she is talking to a toad which is not human. Also on page 14 i picked that specific detail because
it also showed Winnie being lonely because she made a game of tossing pebbles at such an angle
and she like doesn't have anything else to do on her spare time but throwing pebbles this could show
that she has no friends hanging out with her or coming to talk to her.
Caring Page 132 it states "It's my toad," Winnie told him. So you'd better leave it alone.' And then,

Essay about The Road Not Taken, and Nothing Gold Can Stay
Robert Frost was one of America's greatest poets. From 1874 – 1963 he has written many famous
poems including "Nothing Gold can stay" and
"The Road not taken" which I will be writing about. He lived in San
Francisco and sadly died in Boston in 1963. He moved to Massachusetts when he was eleven and
went to the local high school. He then continues to go to Dartmouth College.
The Road Not Taken is a poem about decisions in life and how each one leads onto another road,
spreading into a vast complexity of situations and life. The roads symbolise decisions and how each
decision effects the whole journey ahead of him.
The first verse is about his first decision in the network of roads that he could have taken. He
ponders which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He can only look so far though because you can not look into the far away future hence the line "To
where it bent in the undergrowth". The bend means that you can not look further than that certain
point.
The second verse compares the two roads without knowing what the other contains. He wanted to
know what laid down the other road and compares the path he travelled to the one he could have
travelled.
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same.
The first line means that he has decided to take a journey on one of the roads he was pondering
about. It also means that he could have just as easily taken the road he did not take. In the second
line it means that he thought the road he took would be more interesting than the other, " and having
perhaps the better claim" because it "was grassy and needed wear", which means that lesser people
had been on that path than the other. When a path has not been trodden on, it leaves plants and grass
to overgrow. So he took the road which was grassy because it was unusual compared to the other
path. He also thought that the path needed people to take it! (needed wear) On the last two line of
that verse,
(Though as for that

Round Trampoline Research Paper
Meta Description:
Trampoline is an equipment made of strong, stretched cloth over a solid frame made of steel or iron
using some coiled springs to connect. People jump on trampolines for fun and sometimes even as a
competitive game. A question quite often in mind that arises is "Which one should someone get a
rectangular or a round trampoline?"
Introduction
While trampolining is widely known to be a recreational activity there are other benefits of this
activity. The American Council on Exercise (ACE) in a study found that jumping on a trampoline
was more useful exercise than biking, running and also Frisbee. People rated this to be an easier
workout although it has the benefits of a vigorous workout. This is because of the fact that when ...

But according to research, more than 80% of the accidents happen because of the absence of an
enclosure. This enclosure is a mesh screen, fixed around the trampoline which prevents the user
getting too close to the edge. Also, checking the trampoline mat for any cuts and if trampoline
springs are firmly attached to the mat always helps to be safe.
Weight Limit:
Maximum weight supported by a round trampoline is 400 pounds, whereas for rectangular
trampoline it is 450 pounds. Round trampoline supports only one jumper at a time.
Cost Factor:
Round trampolines are cheaper and readily available in the market.
Bounce experience and Altitude of Jump:
Bounce experience and height are higher for rectangular trampoline due to more space for takeoff.
Conclusion:
Rectangular trampoline is more suitable for training purposes while round one is most appropriate
for refreshment activities. Round trampoline is affordable and more efficient when safety factor is
considered. If you want a bigger bounce, a rectangular trampoline is more suitable, but it should be
kept in mind that it comes with an expense of higher

My Best Friend
In the winter of 8th grade, I began to disconnect from my friends, mainly my 'best friend'. I didn't
have as much fondness of her as I would've had a few years ago. I didn't laugh with her as much,
and we didn't hang out as often or even feel the need to. It was as if I didn't want to be with her.
"I've known Rue since 3rd grade, so we're best friends," Emma had stubbornly declared to my
friends during lunch at school. Emma grabbed my arm, yanking me towards her until our shoulders
rubbed against each other. I plastered a smile in front of the others, slowly withdrawing my arm
from her hold. That's not how being best friends work, right? I questioned. The air was malicious,
nipping my skin as if telling me to stop being her friend.
The following day, the two of us were drawing in the school's math hallway while having lunch.
"Do you think this is good?" Emma asked, holding up a scruffy drawing that was supposed to
portray an angel grieving the death of his bird.
Even though the picture looked more like a person gorging on a bird, it was better to give her
support rather than destructive criticism. After all, she needs more practice in order to improve."It's
amazing," I cheered. "How about mine?"
"Oh, it's alright, it looks kind of weird though."
Just as she said that, the crisp winter air blew across the sketch, humming in agreement with Emma's
words. In turn, my drawing spoiled, blurring as the I made the eraser scrub back and forth until the
paper tore in half and I

Speech On Environmental Pollution
Pollution is a big problem in this day and age. Some pollution comes from burning gas to fuel our
cars or some other forms of pollution comes from volcanoes. Carbon dioxide is the main pollutant
warming the earth. But if we start producing less carbon dioxide then the earth will heat up even
more. I know it's crazy right. Carbon dioxide can be produced by cars, planes, power plants, and
many more activities that involve the burning of gas. Did you know that within the past 150 years
we humans have produced the highest level of sulfur dioxide. Yes it's true. When volcanoes erupt
they produce sulfur dioxide which causes pollution but in this world today humans produce the most
amount of sulfur dioxide. You might be asking yourself what are other humans doing to help prevent
pollution? Well, some industrialized countries are trying to help prevent pollution a little bit more.
But we can help them with that by driving/flying less or recycling more. So let's throw our best
efforts in to help save our atmosphere. The most polluted city in the world is Dehli, New York.
Delhi, New York is so polluted that there is a little bit of a yellow tint in the sky. Matthieu Daley
spent 5 days taking pictures all around Delhi and in his photographs you can see a little bit of yellow
over the sky. We can see physical results of pollution in his photographs. No–one wants to have
yellow skies so let's throw in a helping hand and do more for the atmosphere.

Spring River Case Study
To fully analyze Spring Creek, the collected samples must be representative of the depth and width
of this creek. To make sure that the width of all the samples was represented, the boat moved side to
side of the entire channel of as samples of the water surface were collected. To get samples that are
representative of the depth, the geologists sampled the upper 0.2 to 2.5m of the river using a three–
meter long tube with a diameter of five centimeters. The shores of the Spring Creek were also
sampled in order to determine if there was any deposition of heavy metals along the shores (Alpers,
Taylor, Domagalski, 2000).
The EPA used data that was collected from the SCDD by the United States Bureau of Reclamation
(USBR) In the 1960s, the USBR dammed Spring Creek with the SCDD to prevent heavy metals
from dispersing throughout the Spring Creek water system. The installation of the dam allowed the
USBR to analyze the water collected from the SCDD for copper and zinc levels. From then on, the
USBR would determine the average daily discharge calculated from the gates of ... Show more

As a result, the nearby water systems became filled with pollution. The EPA has taken action to
ensure the reduction of the contaminant levels and to prevent the contamination from spreading
further into other water systems. They began to install several water treatment plants to clean the
water out. As the EPA tries to remediate the Iron Mountain Mine, they have been analyzing water
samples from the Spring Creek to determine if the levels have changed. Thanks to the efforts by the
EPA, the levels of contamination has reduced significantly by at least 80%. The percent reduction of
heavy metals continues to rise due to the efforts set by the EPA. Although the levels have declined,
there still needs to be continued efforts to ensure that the Iron Mountain Mine no longer pollutes

Analysis Of The Poem ' Mending Wall '
Fenil Patel
Composition II
Prof: Jon Anderson
September 19, 201
"Mending Wall" a poem by Robert Frost seems to take place in countryside estate. Main theme in
the poem is, whether the wall is necessary to have the good relation between neighbors. Narrator
seems to think the wall is not so necessary as it separates him and his neighbor. However, he does
find talking to his neighbor about the wall. but does provide a sense of privacy which is not bad.
Frost is separating habit and and tradition on one side and logics on another. Frost is drawing
tradition on one side and logic and reason on one side. He says that sometimes it is unnecessary to
put an extra efforts on something that is useless. And maybe not, fences does not good ... Show

Neighbors tend to repair the wall every spring just to find it destroyed next year.
Despite of the fact that narrator is one of those neighbor who likes the wall, it is narrator who first
reminds his neighbor to repair the wall. Moreover, the narrator walks along the point in spring to
heal the damaged wall that has been done by hunters. Narrator is more active than his neighbor
finding evidence in (line 12) "I let my neighbor know beyond the hill". Both the work very hard to
build the wall depicting from "We wear our fingers rough with handling them" [stones]. The poet
gives flawless idea how this 'separating' walls unite two neighbour. The narrator is skeptical of this
tradition, he is unable to understand the need of wall where there is no livestock on the property
only the pine trees and apple trees. Both of them decides to walk along the wall and pick up the
stones from their respective sides. Some stones are in shape of bread loaves and some like round
balls.
In this poem, neighbor repeats the phrase, "Good fences make good neighbor". Narrator tries to
explain his neighbor that there is no need to build the wall and condemn for being old fashioned and
maintaining the tradition so stringently. Neighbor believes that rebuilding the wall, strengthens the
bond between them and helps each person to respect the each other. Narrator sees the job of
rebuilding of a wall as a "game" but the neighbor takes this job more

Improperly Storing Your Boat
Tips to Avoid Improperly Storing Your Boat Even though you may love being out on the water on
your boat, the winter will eventually come and you will need to put your boat into storage. In order
to avoid improperly storing your boat, you must be aware of the dangers of improperly storing your
boat, as well as how to store it correctly. The Dangers One thing to watch out for is the temperature
of the place you are storing your boat. Your boat is constructed with materials that can be sensitive
to extremely cold or hot temperatures. For example, an extremely cold storage climate could cause
wood to warp, and an extremely hot storage climate may compromise the boat's overall structure
due to the metals that can bend. The ideal temperature for

This is the story of Winnie Foster. But not the story you know from Tuck Everlasting. This is an

story.
And then, on an impulse, she turned and ran into the cottage, up to her room, to the bureau drawer
where she had hidden Jesse's bottle – the bottle of water from the spring. In a moment she was back

The Crucible Act 4 Seasons Essay
The four seasons specify the time of year. Seasons generally prepare you for the weather conditions
for the specific months. However, the four seasons, in literature, can represent the mood and age
throughout the text. For example, in the story, The Crucible the author used the season, fall, leading
the reader to the interpretation that the storyline will have a gloomy and an eerie atmosphere.
Therefore, when the author adds the type of weather or describes the climate in his or her story, they
are trying to illustrate the mood. In the play, The Crucible, the author, Arthur Miller, used fall and
spring as an illustration of the setting. In Act I, the setting was placed in the spring; as a result of,
everything was peaceful and fine. In Act III and IV, the author used fall to describe the mood. In the
fall, the leaves begin to change colors, die, and wither away. Thus, implying the attitude of the play
will consist of darkness and departure. In Acts III and IV, in The Crucible, Arthur Miller used the
season fall. The Crucible read " A cell in Salem jail, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

referred to as growth and reflection, the reader can construe that Tom is about to experience change.
The twelve months can also be related to the seasons; by its nature, the reader can recognize which
months are in each season, due to their location. For instance, in The Raven, by Edgar Allen Poe,
"Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December; and each separate dying ember wrought its
ghost upon the floor." Despite the fact that Edgar Allen Poe did not verbatimly mention one of the
four seasons, the reader can obtain the same mood from

"Take a simple idea and take it seriously"

This quote taken from Charlie Munger, best describes the invention of the retractable pen. The
mechanism behind the retraction and the extension of a pen may appear straightforward but the
impact it has made in people's lives is larger. As a student, I have to use a pen in my everyday work
and without it I cannot get any of my assignments done. In the process of using it, I always wonder
how a simple spring within a pen, plays a major role in the functioning of the pen. This led to my

My Personal Experience In College Education
Spring 2017 was the worst semesters for me in comparison to my entire college education. I
returned back to college after leaving for six years. I started back spring 2016 at Cuny Hostos . I
took 5 classes in the spring and Fall and one class over the summer. I maintained a GPA over 3.0. I
had 3.54 the spring, I passed my summer class and I maintained a 3.94 for the fall . I transferred
from there due to the distance and I attended my first semester at Brooklyn College. So many
elements affected me and I must be honest and say this was a very hard adjustment for me. My
toddler son had contracted pink eye on three separate occasions. One of my closest friends
experienced a horrible anxiety attack where she flat lined twice in front of me. I'm unsure of the
name the EMT called it but he said due to the stress she was dealing with that her body shut down
on her. Having to be her main source of support has mentally and physically strained everything in
me. Another stressful situation that took place was my cousin experienced a event which caused her
to have a psychotic breakdown. She witness a murder while she was away in college and she tried to
cope with drugs and a bunch of other things. Her parents went and got her and she was in a manic
stage. She was home for about three days, not sleeping, not eating, just babbling about a few
different things. Full of rage, energy it was a very long three days with her. My mom finally

My Passion In Sports
My passion is playing sports. I have always been athletic as I grew up playing all different types of
sports. I did gymnastics, basketball, and I continue to play on multiple soccer teams. However ,I
have become a lot more passionate about track and field. Track and field is more of a laid back sport
compared to others as it goes on in an order of events. The events I participate in are various
sprinting events and the pole vault. Pole vault is my favorite of the two events because there are not
many people who compete and it is like a little family amongst competitors. My teammates and I
have a lot of fun hanging out and cheering each other on. Along with the people I also enjoy the
competition and the thrill of beating your personal record whether it is in a race or in pole vault.
I pole vaulted for the first time when I was ten years old. My neighbor, who coincidently is the pole
vault at the high school, invited my brother, my neighbors and I to try it one day during the summer.
I ended up not being horrible at it so when I got to high school I figured I would try it again and see
how it went. It went very well. My neighbor who is the pole vault coach is now very old so he is not
able to make it to practice very often. The pole vaulters and I do have the head coach of the whole
track team assist us from time to time but mostly we all, the four of us that is, critique and help each
other reach new heights, literally, when we vault. My teammates are my most constant

Critical Analysis Of Edward Scissorhands
Edward Scissorhands, directed by Tim Burton in 1990, features Burton's distinctive style, themes
and story elements. Moreover, it is influenced stylistically by the German Expressionism; distortion
of objects and bodies, such as the trimmed hedges, Gothic elements, for instance Edward's castle or
his clothes, and the music played throughout the film, curves and crooked lines in the pathway of
the neighbourhood, and the Chiaroscuro lighting (low–key lightning) in most of the scenes. Peg
Boggs (Dianne Wiest), a local Avon door–to–door saleswoman tries to sell her products around her

One of the most relevant arguments for claiming that the film is good enough to recommend it is
that the film has authorship personality; that is, throughout the movie audience may realise that there
are lots of Burton's characteristic features: such as the visual style, contrasting the pastel colours
(blue, green, orange, and pink) in the houses of Spring Hopes, with the Gothic ones (mainly black)
in Edward's clothes and castle. It seems Edward is brought to the neighbourhood to show that there
is another valid lifestyle; the otherness has to be accepted even though it seems to be too bizarre at
first. Furthermore, the exploration of the otherness and the characters, such as Edward, who exist
outside the boundaries of normality is a topic that is highly relevant, because it may show the
audience that no matter how different a thing is, all that it is important is that is good enough for
you. Edward Scissorhands, summing up, is a good film because it has an interior meaning, that is, it
makes the audience think outside the box, and extract a useful moral from the

The Causes Of The Steamboating Trade?
The steamboating trade was entirely dependent on the weather which would dictate the rise and fall
of water levels and as such it was a seasonal trade. In the upper Mississippi where winter would bite
hard, rivers would freeze over for at least four months out of every year, if not longer. The ice was
not just a concern during the winter months though. When rising waters and breaking ice occurred in
early spring, it created floating hazards, which were known to cause appalling damage to vessels.
The ice would puncture the hull of a vessel like it was made of so much tissue paper and floating
masses of ice were also known to crush steamboats. As such it was not uncommon for dozens of
boats to be lost in a single year.
Captains would often weigh this risk though, leaving too early could mean damage to the vessel but
it also meant more lead and other valuable cargo would be available as the season started.
Passengers that were stranded during the winter months would often pay inflated rates during early
spring due to the lack of competition. Raw materials also fetched a higher price after the winter
months, this meant that miners were often eager to see their minerals to market to benefit from the
higher prices. This meant that they were often willing to pay steamboat captains handsomely to
ensure that their product was put in circulation as soon as possible. Such was the benefit of starting
early in the season that some captains needed only to operate during the early

Basketball Personal Narrative

the only game I loved though; I also loved soccer. After I kept the benches warm 6th grade year I
decided I was going to work hard. I started running a mile at least once a week. Which turned into
two miles after I filled a few buckets of sweat after a couple weeks. I had convinced my uncle to let
me be a substitute on his indoor soccer team since I already missed tryouts. I loved indoor soccer so
much and that's when I began to really start improving. I scored my first goal that season with five
others after. I loved the feeling of putting in every drop of work I could into a game that I truly
loved. Travel soccer didn't only make me better at sports but I improved as a person. I began to be

The Battle Of The Creek
Smog is suffocating the clouds, and leaving it grey. The surrounding sounds of screeching and
machines sputtering to the command of their owners interferes with the soft whispering of the creek
itself. Everyday, every hour, the creek is poisoned. The monsters release their poison from their
chambers and dispose of it into life. Past a certain point, the creek is unable to breathe, and instead
of whispers, you hear gasps. It's dead. Over the generations, especially in this day and age,
ecological problems have become top priority whether it's to presidential debates or the uprising of
the environmentalists who stayed quiet for far too long. It doesn't have to be a large national park,
but observing a not–so–well–known creek like Newtown Creek, represents the sludge and poison
industrialism and the human race itself has force–fed nature. Seeing a desolated creek will make
anyone think twice before throwing even a gum wrapper onto the streets instead of the trash can two
feet away. Throughout high school, more awareness was brought upon environmental issues than
just the happy history and science behind the World. I knew a limited amount, which was historical

  • 4. Robert Frost The only thing that is constant in the world is change. As Homosapiens have progressed from primitive hunter gatherers to the biggest apex predators on the planet, nothing has stayed the same. Some epochs were plagued with war and famine while others spurred immeasurable innovation. From infinitesimal events to yearlong world wars, time has managed to converge to this specific point in the present. Yet technological progress in the forms of snappier smartphones and virtual reality goggles have allowed today's inhabitants to forget about real reality and the countless events that have shaped it. Robert Frost reminds us that time's cyclical holds both healing and destructive properties in his eloquent poem "Spring Pools." Robert Frost was born in San Francisco on March 26, 1874. He was a farmer, a father of six children, but important of all he was a poet. He is highly regarded for his realistic portrayals of rural life and his mastery of American colloquial speech. His work frequently employed scenarios of rural life in New England at the beginning of the 20th century, using them to examine complex social and philosophical issues. Frost was honored frequently during his lifetime, receiving four Pulitzer prizes for poetry and even a Nobel Prize nominee in literature. He published "Spring Pools" in 1929 inside a volume of poems titled West Running Brook. During this time Frost taught English at Amherst College in Massachusetts. He called his simplistic use of language as "the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Outside Of House Painting Analysis It is possible to paint the outside of your house in the winter time. Here are a few things you need to take into consideration before painting the outside of your house this winter. Look At The Temperature Your Materials Will Work At The first thing you need to do is look at all the material that you need to use to paint the outside of your house and determine what temperature the materials work effectively at. For example, if the outside of your house has already been prepared for paint before the cold weather struck, only your paint needs to stand up to cold weather. Or, if the outside of the house has not been prepared yet, you need to make sure that any caulk, fillers and primers you need to use, as well as the paint, will be able ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, caulking, fillers and primers often need warmer weather to work properly. Be sure to read the directions on all materials that you purchase carefully. Find Out The Surface Temperature Next, before you start painting, you need to find out not just what the air temperature will be, you also need to figure out what the surface temperature of your home is. Often times, the surface temperature of your home will be cooler than the outside temperature. Just because you have one warm day does not mean that the outside of your house has had time to warm up. You will need to purchase a tool specifically designed to measure the surface temperature of objects. You will need to purchase a thermometer with a probe so you can figure out the surface temperature of your home. You should be able to find this tool at your local home improvement or building store. Work With The Sun If you decide the temperature outside is warm enough to paint, you need to start working as soon as the sun comes up and the weather warms up. You also need to work with the sun. Follow the sun around the house as you paint; when the sun moves, you need to move as well. Once the temperatures begin the downward slide, stop ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 8. Blount Springs Observation The objective of the trip to Blount Springs, Alabama was to observe and gather data on the geological structure of the area. Blount Springs is located in the northern part of Alabama just 33 miles north of Birmingham, and lies on the southernmost part of the Appalachian fold belt. The field work began on the morning of Saturday April, 7th at 8:50am. The weather was cloudy with temperatures in the mid 40's, and the area was wet from rain the previous night. Our materials included a map of the area, list of formations, a Brunton compass, and a Rite in the Rain field book. The procedure of the field work involved 12 stops at outcrops to gather data, one stop was omitted from the original plans. This data gathered included bedding and joint orientations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This formation is a very fine grain Mississippian limestone. To test to see if this was the Bangor formation we used HCL and because there was a reaction we know its limestone. This formation could also be described as gray in color as well as an average thickness of 700 feet. We see the Bangor until stop eight, where we see a very different vertical bedding. Also different at stop eight is the outcrop no longer reacts with HCL. From this we gathered that we had moved into the Hartselle formation. In the Hartselle Formation, Mississippian aged sandstones are dominant. This particular stop had a large amount of jointing. After the Hartselle, we figured the Pride Mountain Formation would be next, however at stop nine we see the Maury Formation present. This stop focused on the rock located inside the creek. Because we were unable to go into the creek to get the strike and dips, we once again had to do a projected orientation. Also found on this stop were natural sulfur springs, easy to notice with the smell that it gives off. The Maury formation consist of Mississippian– Silurian aged shale. At the next stop, stop 10, we encounter the Ft. Payne formation. Although this area location was thickly vegetated, we were able to conduct the acid test and saw that the HCL reacts in some places but not all. From this we concluded that this was the cherty limestone of the Ft. Payne formation. The following stop, 12, we went up section and arrived at the Maury Formation once again. At the final stop, location 13, we see Ft. Payne Formation. All of the metamorphism and deformation in the southernmost Appalachians can be related to the movement of the thrust sheets and stacks (Higgins, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Canyon Lake : A Popular Place Of Recreation For The... Canyon Lake has always been a popular place of recreation for the citizens of Rapid City. Former Pennington county official C. E. completely encapsulated the pleasure that Canyon Lake brings to the citizens of Rapid City in one simple statement, "I know of nothing which adds to the real pleasure of living in a community so much as does a body of water" (C.E. Smith). But this picturesque local park is not as pure as it seems, the small local reservoir has many unhealthy ecological problems hidden below the surface of the water. This a problem that could jeopardize the health of the lake, as well as the recreation of this park, therefore it is imperative to clean and improve the health of this lake. The Reservoir is a small man–made ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Mike Kintigh of the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks, Canyon Lake is regularly stocked with catchable–sized rainbow trout. Catchable–sized rainbow trout are defined as being between eleven and fifteen inches. Mike used the phrase " Stock and Take" while describing Canyon Lake, according to him this means that fish are regularly stocked every three weeks for the purpose to be caught by anglers. He stated that the main purpose of Canyon lake was for fun, entertainment, and recreation (Mike Kintigh, Game Fish and Parks). This is obviously true due to the fact of the popularity of canyon lake. Alternatively, to those who support the clean up of Canyon Lake, the price is a trivial factor in the grand scheme. Proponents of revitalizing the reservoir argue that cleaning the lake would positively affect the health of the lake, the recreation of the park, and even the revenue of surrounding businesses. Many of the problems plaguing this body of water can be with a few simple steps. The water testing showed many detrimental environmental effects. Measurements of Canyon Lake were done using a classroom set of water testing chemicals. The pH level of the water was six point five on the pH scale, this is common and does not show any problems with Ph. The nitrate level was unusually high for a body of water measuring point one parts per million. Grievously, the reservoir tested positive for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Spring Sports Research Papers The winter season can be a time for some athletes at Perry to focus on preparation for the spring sports season. The springtime for athletics at Perry is shining time of the year filled with memorable performances and a few Far East Championships. With the weather dropping into the 30's players are forced to enter the weight room for their training regiments. The work that is put in during the offseason when nobody is watching will play dividends on the field in February. For baseball, Seniors Chad Schuch, Eli Perez and Garrett Macias opted out of playing basketball to prepare to defend their title in the spring. This timeline should include a set weight routine for at least 3 times a week, as well as some type of skill development on the weekend. "For preparation for the season I train by myself as well as with the JMSDF men's soccer team." said Lange. The winter time is to improve strength not necessarily skill development. The time to start getting game ready comes a month or so before the start of the season. The time that is spent with resistance and weight training will give you the advantage over your competition. • 14. Analysis Of Thoreau 's ' Solitude ' Thoreau opens "Solitude" with a melodious articulation of his pleasure in and sensitivity for nature. When he comes back to his home in the wake of strolling at night, he finds that guests have ceased by, which prompts him to remark both on his strict separation from others while at the lake and on the non–literal space between men. There is closeness in his association with nature, which gives adequate fraternity and blocks the likelihood of forlornness. The immensity of the universe puts the space between men in context. Thoreau brings up that on the off chance that we accomplish a more prominent closeness to nature and the heavenly, we won 't require physical nearness to others in the "station, the mail station, the tavern, the meeting–house, the school building" – places that offer the sort of organization that diverts and disperses. He remarks on man 's double nature as a physical element and as a scholarly observer inside his own particular body, which isolates a man from himself and adds encourage point of view to his separation from others. Also, a man is constantly alone when thinking and working. He finishes up the part by alluding to allegorical guests who speak to God and nature, to his own unity with nature, and to the wellbeing and imperativeness that nature gives. Proceeding with the topic created in "Higher Laws," "Brute Neighbors" opens with an exchange amongst Hermit and Poet, who typify spellbound parts of the creator himself (creature nature and the ... Aquifers, unconsolidated subterranean layers which hold water, are rapidly dwindling, and groundwater depletion is quickly growing to become a major problem for farmers and the public at large. Reserves close to ground level are rapidly drying up and due to technological roadblocks, extracting water from deeper reserves is not yet financially feasible. The problem is especially severe in California, which represents around 20% of all groundwater withdrawal in the United States (Famiglietti, LA Times). A lack of water for agriculture would directly lead to diminished food production and indirectly lead to requiring food imports from outside the state. Groundwater resources are an unregulated public resource and despite any innovative breakthrough in extraction techniques, the only sustainable, long–term solution is to enforce limits on extraction. Regulation of how much groundwater can be extracted from an aquifer in a set period of time; along with incentives to obtain water from alternative sources is the ideal solution to address the perennially growing challenge of groundwater depletion in California. This regulatory effort must begin in politics but it needs to spread to society as well – only when people realize the consequences of over–extraction will they even consider ceasing doing so. This solution is not based primarily in science and technology, and is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Polixenes Jealousy Furthermore, Shakespeare probably even sees vices as a beautiful work of nature, as how Polixenes talks to Perdita about the carnations: nature is made better by no mean But nature makes that mean: so, over that art Which you say adds to nature, is an art That nature makes. (4.4.104–7) The word "mean" here might possess double meanings– it might not only refer to the method that nature teaches man to plant and graft, but the word "mean" might also suggest the base quality of man's meanness and inferiority. Ever since Leontes admits it is his "shame perpetual," and swears, "Once a day I'll visit/ The chapel where they lie, and tears shed there/ Shall be my recreation," his joy stops for more than a decade (3.2.255–8). He would still regret at the sight of Florizel, "I lost a couple" (5.1.16). Hence, he looks only back on objects dead. On the other hand, if the victim does not forgive, he can share no joy, either. For winter there is cold weather, which means bringing and starting the New Year. Summer, who doesn't love them hot summer days, eating anything that is cold. Spring, for them raining days, where the smell of fresh flowers begin to blossom, and grow. Lastly, fall. Fall is when it's time for the kids to head back to school, or those Saturday night college football games to come on. Every season is meaningful in some way throughout the year and some can't wait for their favorite season to approach. I know fall is mines, and I know I can't wait either. Winter! It is the thing I truly love to do and I don't know what I would do without it. This is my story about softball. When I began softball I was five years old. I don't really remember it all that well, the only thing I truly remember is my first team. My first team team was extreme, it was my sister team. Even though I don't truly remember it, I know it was fun, for me at least. When starting out at a young age it's hard for the parents because we are not good. Everything is just playing in the dirt, trying new positions, and not paying attention. Im very glad that my parents started me in softball because it's now my favorite sport. For many years when I was younger and playing, I had to find new teams yearly. I had to do this because I was always the youngest one on the team. I always hated doing this because I would always have to make new friends and I just wanted a team I could stick with. At one point I had found a team that I played with for about three years. My dad had taken over that team and it was a blast. Until one of our years it was terrible, I had almost not wanted to play anymore because of how bad it was. Thankfully we knew a team that I could possibly go to, the only difference was that they were two years older than what division I was in. The coaches had given me a chance and now I have been on this team for three years. The team i've been on is Extreme, I think it's funny because ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The higher species richness and Shannon diversity index could be due to the diverse vegetation growing around the pond. The lower evenness tells us that this site is less diverse than the other two sites. Secondly, the wooded area contained slightly lower species richness and Shannon diversity index than the water's edge; however, the evenness was higher than the evenness at the water's edge. Due to the lower amount of species and that the site is subject to runoff could cause the slight difference in the species richness and Shannon diversity index. It also affects the higher ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The high evenness is due to fewer species being present at this site. The results of this lab supported my hypothesis that the water's edge would have the highest biodiversity, the wooded area would have medium biodiversity, and the manicured lawn would have the lowest biodiversity. The reason that the results support my hypothesis is that the water's edge had a diverse vegetation around it for a variety of species to be found. It also had the pond where species could be found. The wooded area contained many layers of leave coverage which is good for some species but bad for others. The wooded area is also subject to runoff which reduced the number of small species that could be found on the ground. The manicured lawn is cut often causing a reduced amount of species that would be found on the ground and not enough trees to counteract the cutting affect. The biodiversity of the three sites are comparable by the evenness being greater with low species richness. The sites are also comparable by the shannon diversity index being higher as the species richness is increased. "La Primavera" is one of four violin concertos, each capturing moods and illustrating stories related to a specific time of year. Each section within this movement illustrate the most beautiful scenes of the spring season, including birds, babbling brooks, and a thunderstorm. (Soomo, n.d). My second work is an oil on canvas painting, titled "The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone" by Thomas Moran. "The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone" was painted in 1872 and captures the unique geological formations and diverse and extravagant colors of the Midwestern United States landscape. (Cantrell, 2014). "In an era before color photography, this painting depicts nature itself as a hero". (Soomo, n.d) Common Theme The common theme shared by both chosen pieces of work is nature. Antonio Vivaldi embraces the spring season and captures the moods and illustrates stories specific to that time of year. Thomas Moran captured the true beauty of a Midwestern landscape of the United States. The colors, terrain, and overall detail are realistic and allow the viewer to experience the extreme beauty of the Midwest. From 1874 – 1963 he has written many famous poems including "Nothing Gold can stay" and "The Road not taken" which I will be writing about. He lived in San Francisco and sadly died in Boston in 1963. He moved to Massachusetts when he was eleven and went to the local high school. He then continues to go to Dartmouth College. The Road Not Taken is a poem about decisions in life and how each one leads onto another road, spreading into a vast complexity of situations and life. The roads symbolise decisions and how each decision effects the whole journey ahead of him. The first verse is about his first decision in the network of roads that he could have taken. Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same. The first line means that he has decided to take a journey on one of the roads he was pondering about. It also means that he could have just as easily taken the road he did not take. In the second line it means that he thought the road he took would be more interesting than the other, " and having perhaps the better claim" because it "was grassy and needed wear", which means that lesser people had been on that path than the other. When a path has not been trodden on, it leaves plants and grass to overgrow. So he took the road which was grassy because it was unusual compared to the other path. He also thought that the path needed people to take it! (needed wear) On the last two line of that verse,

I didn't laugh with her as much, and we didn't hang out as often or even feel the need to. It was as if I didn't want to be with her. "I've known Rue since 3rd grade, so we're best friends," Emma had stubbornly declared to my friends during lunch at school. Emma grabbed my arm, yanking me towards her until our shoulders rubbed against each other. I plastered a smile in front of the others, slowly withdrawing my arm from her hold. That's not how being best friends work, right? I questioned. The air was malicious, nipping my skin as if telling me to stop being her friend. The following day, the two of us were drawing in the school's math hallway while having lunch. "Do you think this is good?" Emma asked, holding up a scruffy drawing that was supposed to portray an angel grieving the death of his bird. Even though the picture looked more like a person gorging on a bird, it was better to give her support rather than destructive criticism. After all, she needs more practice in order to improve."It's amazing," I cheered. "How about mine?" "Oh, it's alright, it looks kind of weird though." Carbon dioxide is the main pollutant warming the earth. But if we start producing less carbon dioxide then the earth will heat up even more. I know it's crazy right. Carbon dioxide can be produced by cars, planes, power plants, and many more activities that involve the burning of gas. Did you know that within the past 150 years we humans have produced the highest level of sulfur dioxide. Yes it's true. When volcanoes erupt they produce sulfur dioxide which causes pollution but in this world today humans produce the most amount of sulfur dioxide. You might be asking yourself what are other humans doing to help prevent pollution? Well, some industrialized countries are trying to help prevent pollution a little bit more. However, the four seasons, in literature, can represent the mood and age throughout the text. For example, in the story, The Crucible the author used the season, fall, leading the reader to the interpretation that the storyline will have a gloomy and an eerie atmosphere. Therefore, when the author adds the type of weather or describes the climate in his or her story, they are trying to illustrate the mood. In the play, The Crucible, the author, Arthur Miller, used fall and spring as an illustration of the setting. In Act I, the setting was placed in the spring; as a result of, everything was peaceful and fine. In Act III and IV, the author used fall to describe the mood. In the fall, the leaves begin to change colors, die, and wither away. Thus, implying the attitude of the play will consist of darkness and departure. In Acts III and IV, in The Crucible, Arthur Miller used the season fall. The Crucible read " A cell in Salem jail, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For instance, Washington Irving, wrote in The Devil and Tom Walker, "One hot summer afternoon in the dog days, just as a terrible black thunder–gust as coming up, Tom sat in his counting house in his white linen cap and India silk morning gown." Considering that the season, summer, can be referred to as growth and reflection, the reader can construe that Tom is about to experience change. The twelve months can also be related to the seasons; by its nature, the reader can recognize which months are in each season, due to their location. For instance, in The Raven, by Edgar Allen Poe, "Ah, distinctly I remember it was in the bleak December; and each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor." Despite the fact that Edgar Allen Poe did not verbatimly mention one of the four seasons, the reader can obtain the same mood from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 65. Research Paper On Paradise Pond Paradise pond is a well known trademark of Smith college. Having been in place long before Smith College was founded, it has always served as a breathtaking release from the realities of our world. However, Paradise Pond also serves an important ecological factor in supporting its own diverse community of organism. Unfortunately, keeping Paradise Pond together is a dam. Typically, rivers have a consistent flow of water that allows the sediment to evenly flow throughout a space; however, due to the dam, Paradise Pond is filling with sediment. According to the Smith Center for the Environment, Ecological Design and Sustainability (CEEDS), the sediment used to be removed every decade or so and taken to a landfill, however the landfill has since ... Reaction Paper On Hooke's Law "Take a simple idea and take it seriously" – Charlie Munger, Vice–Chairman of Berkshire Hathaway This quote taken from Charlie Munger, best describes the invention of the retractable pen. The mechanism behind the retraction and the extension of a pen may appear straightforward but the impact it has made in people's lives is larger. As a student, I have to use a pen in my everyday work and without it I cannot get any of my assignments done. In the process of using it, I always wonder how a simple spring within a pen, plays a major role in the functioning of the pen. This led to my interest in finding out that the concept of Hooke's Law is responsible for this. The force created when the end of a pen is pushed leads to the extension of the spring ... In order to obtain a linear graph and determine the spring constant from the gradient, the equation is squared. Hence, The value in the above equation needs to take into account the mass of the spring as well. This mass would be taken be the effective load of the spring. However, this value does not consider the whole spring mass but instead a smaller part of it. This is because the entire spring does not vibrate with the same amplitude as the load. Hence, . From this equation, the graph of against would be plotted. The gradient, , will be used to determine the spring constant and the y–intercept, to determine the . • 69. My Personal Experience In College Education Spring 2017 was the worst semesters for me in comparison to my entire college education. I returned back to college after leaving for six years. I started back spring 2016 at Cuny Hostos . I took 5 classes in the spring and Fall and one class over the summer. I maintained a GPA over 3.0. I had 3.54 the spring, I passed my summer class and I maintained a 3.94 for the fall . I transferred from there due to the distance and I attended my first semester at Brooklyn College. So many elements affected me and I must be honest and say this was a very hard adjustment for me. My toddler son had contracted pink eye on three separate occasions. One of my closest friends experienced a horrible anxiety attack where she flat lined twice in front of me. I'm unsure of the name the EMT called it but he said due to the stress she was dealing with that her body shut down on her. Having to be her main source of support has mentally and physically strained everything in me. Another stressful situation that took place was my cousin experienced a event which caused her to have a psychotic breakdown. She witness a murder while she was away in college and she tried to cope with drugs and a bunch of other things. Her parents went and got her and she was in a manic stage. She was home for about three days, not sleeping, not eating, just babbling about a few different things. Full of rage, energy it was a very long three days with her. My mom finally convinced her parents that she needs to go to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 71. My Passion In Sports My passion is playing sports. I have always been athletic as I grew up playing all different types of sports. I did gymnastics, basketball, and I continue to play on multiple soccer teams. However ,I have become a lot more passionate about track and field. Track and field is more of a laid back sport compared to others as it goes on in an order of events. The events I participate in are various sprinting events and the pole vault. Pole vault is my favorite of the two events because there are not many people who compete and it is like a little family amongst competitors. My teammates and I have a lot of fun hanging out and cheering each other on. Along with the people I also enjoy the competition and the thrill of beating your personal record whether it is in a race or in pole vault. I pole vaulted for the first time when I was ten years old. My neighbor, who coincidently is the pole vault at the high school, invited my brother, my neighbors and I to try it one day during the summer. I ended up not being horrible at it so when I got to high school I figured I would try it again and see how it went. It went very well. My neighbor who is the pole vault coach is now very old so he is not able to make it to practice very often. The pole vaulters and I do have the head coach of the whole track team assist us from time to time but mostly we all, the four of us that is, critique and help each other reach new heights, literally, when we vault. My teammates are my most constant ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 73. Critical Analysis Of Edward Scissorhands Edward Scissorhands, directed by Tim Burton in 1990, features Burton's distinctive style, themes and story elements. Moreover, it is influenced stylistically by the German Expressionism; distortion of objects and bodies, such as the trimmed hedges, Gothic elements, for instance Edward's castle or his clothes, and the music played throughout the film, curves and crooked lines in the pathway of the neighbourhood, and the Chiaroscuro lighting (low–key lightning) in most of the scenes. Peg Boggs (Dianne Wiest), a local Avon door–to–door saleswoman tries to sell her products around her neighbourhood, until she arrives to the old, abandoned Gothic mansion in the outskirts of Spring Hopes. There, she discovers Edward (Johnny Depp), a bizarre creation resulting from an unfinished experiment by a mad scientist, who died just ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One of the most relevant arguments for claiming that the film is good enough to recommend it is that the film has authorship personality; that is, throughout the movie audience may realise that there are lots of Burton's characteristic features: such as the visual style, contrasting the pastel colours (blue, green, orange, and pink) in the houses of Spring Hopes, with the Gothic ones (mainly black) in Edward's clothes and castle. It seems Edward is brought to the neighbourhood to show that there is another valid lifestyle; the otherness has to be accepted even though it seems to be too bizarre at first. Furthermore, the exploration of the otherness and the characters, such as Edward, who exist outside the boundaries of normality is a topic that is highly relevant, because it may show the audience that no matter how different a thing is, all that it is important is that is good enough for you. Edward Scissorhands, summing up, is a good film because it has an interior meaning, that is, it makes the audience think outside the box, and extract a useful moral from the ... • 75. The Causes Of The Steamboating Trade? The steamboating trade was entirely dependent on the weather which would dictate the rise and fall of water levels and as such it was a seasonal trade. In the upper Mississippi where winter would bite hard, rivers would freeze over for at least four months out of every year, if not longer. The ice was not just a concern during the winter months though. When rising waters and breaking ice occurred in early spring, it created floating hazards, which were known to cause appalling damage to vessels. The ice would puncture the hull of a vessel like it was made of so much tissue paper and floating masses of ice were also known to crush steamboats. As such it was not uncommon for dozens of boats to be lost in a single year. Captains would often weigh this risk though, leaving too early could mean damage to the vessel but it also meant more lead and other valuable cargo would be available as the season started. Passengers that were stranded during the winter months would often pay inflated rates during early spring due to the lack of competition. Raw materials also fetched a higher price after the winter months, this meant that miners were often eager to see their minerals to market to benefit from the higher prices. This meant that they were often willing to pay steamboat captains handsomely to ensure that their product was put in circulation as soon as possible. Such was the benefit of starting early in the season that some captains needed only to operate during the early ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 77. Basketball Personal Narrative Basketball my 6th grade year was rough. It was my very first year ever playing sports. Since I went to a small elementary school everyone made the team and I was the only 6th grade student that joined I was so nervous the first practice my hands were shaking way faster than I could run. The rest of the girls were eighth graders that had a ball thrown at them the second the exited the womb; let me just tell you that season sucked. Even though I cried after every game because I wasn't good enough and in practice always crossed the finish line last I still somehow loved the game. It wasn't the only game I loved though; I also loved soccer. After I kept the benches warm 6th grade year I decided I was going to work hard. I started running a mile at least once a week. Which turned into two miles after I filled a few buckets of sweat after a couple weeks. I had convinced my uncle to let me be a substitute on his indoor soccer team since I already missed tryouts. I loved indoor soccer so much and that's when I began to really start improving. I scored my first goal that season with five others after. I loved the feeling of putting in every drop of work I could into a game that I truly loved. Travel soccer didn't only make me better at sports but I improved as a person. • 79. The Battle Of The Creek Smog is suffocating the clouds, and leaving it grey. The surrounding sounds of screeching and machines sputtering to the command of their owners interferes with the soft whispering of the creek itself. Everyday, every hour, the creek is poisoned. The monsters release their poison from their chambers and dispose of it into life. Past a certain point, the creek is unable to breathe, and instead of whispers, you hear gasps. It's dead. Over the generations, especially in this day and age, ecological problems have become top priority whether it's to presidential debates or the uprising of the environmentalists who stayed quiet for far too long. It doesn't have to be a large national park, but observing a not–so–well–known creek like Newtown Creek, represents the sludge and poison industrialism and the human race itself has force–fed nature. Seeing a desolated creek will make anyone think twice before throwing even a gum wrapper onto the streets instead of the trash can two feet away. Throughout high school, more awareness was brought upon environmental issues than just the happy history and science behind the World. I knew a limited amount, which was historical pollutions such as heavy dumping of chemicals into water sources that have to date tainted them and killed them off or when it came to the mass deforestation for more industrial sites and how it was impacting animals, but us in general.
