narrator’s point of view.
 The perspective from which a piece of text 
is written. 
1. First Person: Told from the view point of 
one of the characters (I, We, Me) 
2. Second Person: The narrator addresses 
YOU, the reader (You, Your) Usually how to 
or a manual. 
3. Third Person: the narrator is not part of the 
story. (He, She, They, Character’s Names)
 Limited: Narrator focuses on the thoughts 
and feelings of only one character. 
 Omniscient: All-knowing! The narrator can 
tell the thoughts and feelings of all 
characters. 
 Objective: Narrator only reports facts and 
events as a neutral observer.

  • 20.  The perspective from which a piece of text is written. 1. First Person: Told from the view point of one of the characters (I, We, Me) 2. Second Person: The narrator addresses YOU, the reader (You, Your) Usually how to or a manual. 3. Third Person: the narrator is not part of the story. (He, She, They, Character’s Names)
  • 21.  Limited: Narrator focuses on the thoughts and feelings of only one character.  Omniscient: All-knowing! The narrator can tell the thoughts and feelings of all characters.  Objective: Narrator only reports facts and events as a neutral observer.
