If I Could Ask Raina 3 Questions
If I could ask Raina three questions my questions would be. Why didn't you and your sister get along at first? Why was your Amara always mad?
After the road trip to Colorado did you and your sister still get along? If I could ask Raina three questions I would ask her those because I still don't
get how at first she didn't get along with her sister when Raina couldn't wait to be a big sister. My first question was: Why didn't you and your
sister get along at first? I would ask Raina that because as said in the book her sister was "cute, but she's also a cranky, grouchy baby, and mostly
prefers to play by herself" but Raina could've tried playing with her or talk to her and maybe Amara wouldn't be a grouchy girl. My second question...

I would want to ask her that because as said in the book Amara was "cute, but she's also a cranky, grouchy baby" Raina couldn't wait to be a big
sister. But once Amara is born things aren't quite how she expected them to be. She was a cute baby, but she was also a ranky grouchy baby with a
bad attitude most of the time she was mad. The second question I would ask Raina would be: Why was Amara always mad? Things that lead me
wonder about why she was always mad was when Raina would try to play with her but Amara would prefer playing by herself. That made me
think Amara was always mad because she didn't want anyone playing with her. The third question that I would ask Raina is: After the road trip to
Colorado did you and your sister get along? I would ask her that because when the car stopped and they were so bored and didn't have anything to
do they started playing and were sisters after all. But something that lead me wonder this was what if Amara stopped Raina from getting rid of her
snake because she didn't want her to get rid of it because it meant a lot to her but Amara was just lying and said that to stop her. I wonder why she
would stop her when at first they didn't get along

Strengths And Weaknesses Of Interview
No matter who asks a question for an interview does not matter if it's the teacher, HR manager, student or even the principal or members, it will
always be important. Though the applicant's resume, cover letter and job application give interviewers an impression of his or her background and
skills, the interview may be the finest chance the applicant must make a satisfactory impression. To hire to most qualified applicants, HR Managers
must know enough information on how to perform the interviews effectively (SHRM). The way human resource professionals and hiring managers
interview applicants can be crucial in classifying the top applicants for a job. But there would be a few questions that would be important to me and
one of those would be: What are your strengths and weaknesses? That is an amazing question to ask individuals because from the start you will of
course know that they are good at and what they are not good at. You will know what they must work on and what kind of training that they
individual would have to attend. That would be a good question for me because I would know what I would have to improve on for me to be
proficient in my job, to make my job a lot easier, and to just make me feel good about myself. It would also make me enjoy my job more if I were
to fix my weaknesses and turn them into my strengths. Another good question would be: What innovative teaching methods have you used
successfully in the past? That is a great question to be asked so that they know what you have did in the past to help your job better and for it to
run smoothly. It is always good to know what the individual can do to make his teaching a lot easier for him and the students. All the questions that
are asked would have to remain. They all are good questions to be asked. There would be no point to remove any of the question. The questions
asked by the principal, interview panel and HR manager would all show if the applicant is suitable for the job. They would also show the how the
applicant would react to certain situation and to hear his potential from his/her past experiences. The questions that would be asked by the students
would show how they would interact with them and how good of a teacher they would be.

My Mother, God Shaped Me
Through my mother, God shaped me; by witnessing her, convictions, strong morals, loving disposition, nonjudgmental nature and unshakable faith. I
learned why we should never judge others because we are all God's children. I learned my faith is permanent and there is nothing and no one that can
make me stop believing. I learned how precious life is and to never give up.
When I say, I learned true Christian values from my mom I am not talking about things my mother said nearly as much as I am talking about the actions
I witnessed. My mother was extremely well versed in the Bible; however, she never used Bible verses as weapons. As a matter of fact it meant more
when my mom did quote the Bible because she didn't do it all the time and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I didn't blame them, after all he was dirty, loud, he acted confused, and he wasn't exactly speaking coherently. I watched him make his way over to the
tiny pharmacy department. He quickly got into a loud augment with the Pharmacist who even I had to admit was being rather rude to him. I stared
intently at a rack of sunglasses I had no interest in trying to pretend the homeless man was nonexistent. I remember literally praying to God to make him
go away or at least stay away from my mom and I. All of the sudden I hear my mom's voice. I looked up from the rack of grocery store sun glasses
in a hurry. I saw my mom standing about twenty feet away from me chatting with the guy. I got very anxious and I ran over to my mom as if to
protect her. As I got close I realized she wasn't bothered by this man at all. I became very aggravated with my mom. I couldn't believe she was doing
that, chatting with him. Although I stood very close to my mom I try so hard to not look up at the man. After chatting with him for at least ten
minutes they parted ways. I didn't say a word to my mom until we got to the car. Then I went off. I ask her what she was thinking send why couldn't
she have done what everyone else had done ignore him. I make my distress know to my mom. Even asking her why she would put her in that situation
and telling her she should have looked straight though him when he walked over to her.

An American Casual Cafe With Amazing Food
If I was given the opportunity to take Jesus Christ out to lunch, I would take him to Cheddar 's. Cheddar 's is an American casual cafe with
amazing food. When we arrive at Cheddar 's I believe Jesus would order the Lemon pepper whitefish with a water to drink, and I would order the
6oz steak with a water also. First off having the chance to eat lunch with Jesus would be such a great blessing, so I wouldn't be able to keep from
asking him a few questions. While me and Jesus were waiting on our food, I would began to ask him a few questions that I would love to have the
answers to. The first question I would ask him would be why he gave his life for a sinner like me? The next question I would ask is why does he
forgive me when I constantly fail him on a daily basis? The last question I would ask Jesus if I had the chance, would be why do our loved ones get
taken away from us so fast? First, while me and Jesus were waiting on our food at Cheddar's I would ask him, why he gave his life for a sinner like
me? In response I believe he would answer something close to the following, he gave his life and died on the cross out of love for his father and
for the fallen human race. He would then go on to say how he died so that we may have an eternal life with him and his father in Heaven. I also
believe that he would quote a few verses out of the Bible. One of them being "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he
might bring us to God, being put

Pain into Beauty Essay
Pain into Beauty
People look back on their childhoods in different ways. Some see it as a time of joy and laughter, love and learning. Many feel a bittersweet mixture
of happy nostalgia, and painful moments. Some prefer not to look back at all, seeking only to move forward. Then there are people like me, who
look back in anger, bitterness, and sorrow. It seems that few people enjoy apain–free upbringing. In fact, the very idea of childhood is a fairly new
concept. In the early part of the last century, children were considered miniature adults, and were expected to act that way. Abuse, as defined today,
was ignored and sometimes encouraged. "Spare the rod and spoil the child." Today, abuse is carefully defined and is illegal, but many... Show more

So he turned to an old friend for help. She agreed to raise me, and four years later she and my father married. My new step–mother was now, for all
intents and purposes, my mother. I called her Mommy, and later Mom, and at first all was well.
We moved to Denver, Colorado during my first year of life, into a duplex. It was a very small house, painted a deep blue. It is in this house that my
best memories were made. They are of course very hazy, as I was only three or four, but there are no unhappy times at this point. I was the only child
in my immediate family, and so was doted upon by every auntie and uncle, by every granny and grandpa. I was the little queen of my little world. At
that point in time holidays were the best. I was showered in gifts and clothing, and love. I consider this time, from the age of zero to five, as being the
best years of my life even if they are a bit hazy.
At the age of five I was a vibrant, joyful ball of energy. Everything was an adventure, even breaking my collar bone. I loved my life and my family.
But once again tragedy struck and this time it struck my step–mother. Her mother had been battling lung cancer, and she could no longer fight. My
step–mother was devastated, and I now believe this may have been the beginning of my problems. She began to change, in subtle ways. Her patience
was far less, and nothing I did was right. She cried more often, and would become angry for no

Personal Statement: Why I Want To Learn
Why would we want to learn? Learning is difficult. Luckily, we have an unsung hero willing to help us when we need it the most. The question 'why'.
It is a short and simple word, but using it, we receive the ability to learn. It is human nature to want to know more, and the question 'why' is the
solution. We ask 'why' whenever we don't know something or want to know something better. Most of theknowledge I've gained has been through
asking 'why'. Asking 'why' has changed my life. It is both a word and a question. Because of it, I am able to learn more about what is going on in
the world around me. My parents tell me that ever since I was a little boy I had been curious. Asking 'why' to everything I could. The first example
I think of is the classic "why is the sky blue?" The fact hasn't changed, I'm still as curious as I was when I was little. Asking the question provides an
insight to a deeper understanding since it almost always gets an answer. Even though I have procured much of my knowledge through asking 'why', I
think I learned the most when my 'why' was unanswered. It is very strange when an adult who has had much more time to learn cannot answer the
simple question. This leads me to one of my life goals, to be the first to answer one of these unanswerable 'whys'. I want to be the one who is allowed

Right now learning is the most important thing in my life and I strive to learn every day. Whether I learn from my mistakes, or from asking
questions, or just from experience, learning is essential to life. 'Why' is also essential to life. Where would humans be without someone asking why?
We all should not be afraid to ask, but should ask regularly. What I'm trying to say is that the question 'why' is revolutionary in my life. It has changed
me into a curious and inquisitive person. I always want to ask 'why' because the answers to the question are

Chapter Eight: Turn Out After I wake up feeling slightly better, I look around to see if anyone was around me. "Oh, good you're up." Raener says as he

would have woken you sooner but I felt like you should recover on your own." He says as he lays me back down. I close my eyes and hug my blanket
tightly to my chest. "What about the others?" I ask. He pats my head and sets the tea down by my bed. "Don't worry about them, They are just fine
and are waiting for you to make a full recovery all on your own." He says with a slight chuckle. "Then why won't you let me leave my room now

potter, but these are all of my dad's styles and techniques, and he was an astounding potter and painter, everyone loves his pottery. I just don't
know why she dislikes it. "Is there any reason why you dislike my pottery?", I ask after my inquiry. Maeliyah barely lifted an eyebrow at my
question, as if she didn't care. Moments later Maeliyah speaks up saying, "It's not a enjoyable enough style to be bought,". I felt extremely
downhearted on that comment, still not knowing why she disliked my pottery I ask, "Is there anyway I can cause you to fancy it?". "Actually, there

My Experience In My Life
One hour later and my life became changed forever. My loving and caring family I bonded with, would no longer be the same. The long walks
with my mom in the evening would soon become a distant memory. Decorating for the holidays was just around the corner and I would have to
hang up the stocking on the chimney without her. The sweet, rich, chocolate brownies she made every Friday night would leave my taste buds
empty. Her hugs that made me feel loved when I was sad would now be a thought in my head, and our long talks about growing up and finding my
way would be cut short. It all started when I was sitting in class on a hot September day. Sixth period just started, and my class had about thirty
kids in it. I was staring at a tiny and energetic bee flying around the room while my teacher talked about the Pythagorean theory and the simple
equation that followed. Ashley, my closest friend was sitting next to me and we began hysterically laughing about what happened to me at lunch
the period before. Long story short, I spilled an entire container of chocolate milk all over my new, white, ripped jeans. My pants were no longer
white, and I was the talk of the lunch room. I was never the popular kid in school, so this event only made matters worse for me. Fifteen minutes
before sixth period was over and my classroom got a telephone call for me to come down to the main office. I was ecstatic that I could leave the room
early. The sweat was dripping from my forehead because of the

Michael Smith Monologue
Michael Smith, living in London and married to Katerina Smith.
"Don't talk to the stars, but let them talk to you" We found this written on a piece of paper together with Mike's full name and the company
address, she kept in her brown bag. There was no explanation. We didn't know why this lady came to find Mike, but clearly, she had a reason. I hate
winter, but a huge part of me preferred to live in an ice cube for the past year and I ignored the lightest touch of a sunbeam, which traveled from far to
melt down the cruel water diamonds surrounding my heart. But then Mike whispered in my ears: "The strawberry taste of your lips. I love it," and

He believed he was lucky, but actually, he was just unfortunate. The year after, he won a lottery and then he died. Are you wondering how? He was

hours before that, his face was everywhere on the internet, because he donated half of his money to a charity. After his funeral, his sister decided to
spread the word about this man. When I first read this story, I thought that it wasn't true. It was something you couldn't even make up. No way that
this happened. They must have made it all up and put it on News. But it did happen. I find it hard to believe stories like this and you would be
surprised how many of them happen every day. Maybe not so thrilling and adventurous, but they do. My life turned into a story like that too. Not so life
threatening, though, but for a woman like me, it was a lot to take in anyway. Some strange woman from Spain traveled all the way to London to find
my husband. But sadly, she didn't make it and left a lot of question marks behind. A week ago, I was convinced that my husband had an affair. And the

The Stone Age Poem
The poetess realistically depicts the burdens of domestic life, sickness, her ageing and decaying of body, and the anticipation of death in the final
passage: I shall be the fat–kneed hag in the long queue The one from whose shopping bag the mean potato must Roll across the road. I shall be the
patient On the hospital bed, lying in drugged slum And dreaming of home. I shall be the grandmother Willing away her belongings, those scraps and
trinkets More lasting than her bones. Perhaps some womb in that Darker world shall convulse, when I finally enter, A legitimate entrant, marked by
discontent. (Gino) The Stone Age, one of the finest poems in this anthology, strongly expresses the note ofrebellion against male domination. The wife
resents the restraints imposed on her. The husband who is described as an "Old fat spider" weaves "webs of bewilderment" around her and confines
her within the four walls of domesticity. She painfully complains. You turn me into a bird of stone, a granite Dove, you build round me a shabby
drawing room, And stroke my pitted face absent mindedly while you read. She dislikes him as other men haunt her mind. Yet, as day dreams, strong
men cast their shadows, they sink Like white suns in the swell of my Dravidian blood. (The Stone Age)
In the absence of the husband she knocks at another's door. She asserts her individuality and challenges domesticity. A note of rebellion and defiance is
strongly expressed in this poem.

Becoming a Helper: A Reflection on Self Awareness and Cultural Competence
In early elementary school, I would go into people's desks, break their pencils, and then find a glue stick and tape, put them back together, and put them
back in their desk. Now, you must be thinking, what kind of horrible child does something so intentionally mean? However, that's thething. My
intentions were always good because I was trying to help people. I wasn't thinking "oh I want to break their pencils," but rather "I want to fix their
pencils, but they need to be broken in order for me to do so." The Helping Trait
Since I was three years old, I've known I wanted to help people. In fact, I've always had my heart set on being a doctor. It wasn't until two years ago
that I realized nursing was actually right for me. When people ask me why, I often struggle how to put it into words, but deep down I believe it is
because nursing is a profession that focuses less on the science behind the disease, and more about the science of caring. The nurses are the ones who
are always there next to the patient's bedside, providing comfort, love, and compassion. A nurse knows their patients inside and out. Especially when
it comes to children, nurses know what the patient's favorite toy is, or what their favorite popsicle flavor is. Nurses have huge hearts. They prioritize
everyone else's happiness and needs above their own. They are truly angels in human form. Nurses give a piece of themselves to their

What Happened The Night Of The Murders?
On February 25, 2015, four of the five Fink's were brutally murdered in their Cold Spring home. The police have apprehended their only known
survivor, witness, and suspect. 17 year old Mercer Fink is currently being held by authorities, for questioning, in the Cold Spring Detention Center. All
though she maintains her innocence, the teen has the evidence stacked up against her. The autopsy showed blunt force trauma and a gunshot wound to
the head were the causes of death for each of the victims while the ballistic report proved that the bullets came from the Fink family gun. Further tests
are being done, but it looks like the troubled teen will rot in a cell for many years to come.
"I'm sorry to ask this again Ms.Fink, but could you please restate what happened the night of the murders?" I knew what they were doing. It didn't

Rainbow Fish Book Analysis
Text: The Rainbow Fish, by Marcus Pfister
Grade level equivalent: Pre–K and Kinder
Genre: Picture Book
Synopsis: It is a picture book about a Fish, named Rainbow Fish, who thinks he is too beautiful to hang out with all the other fish. As a result, Rainbow
Fish ends up lonely. At the end,Rainbow Fish learns that it is better to have friends than to be prideful.
Demands of the Text
Genre/organizational demands: Picture books are books that contain many illustrations, especially for children. The illustrations are as important (or, in
some cases, even more important than) the words in the story. My students will need to understand that pictures usually add to the text of the story.
They will also need to understand that text represents spoken words. Thus, my students need to be able to interpret pictures and be able to recognize
one–to–one correspondence between a written word and a spoken word.
Background knowledge demands: For this book, students must know what fish and scales are. They will also need to know that fish live under the sea.
High–level Thinking about the Text While I amreading this book aloud, I will ask critical thinking questions, using the upper and lower end of Bloom's
Taxonomy. Some of the questions that I will ask are the following:
1.Can someone describe Rainbow Fish for me?
2.What is one of the descriptive words that the author uses?
3.Why did the author say this?
4.What is going on in this scene?
5.How do someone's character traits affect how they act or what they say?
6.Can someone give me a summary of this story or tell me what it is about?
Lesson Objectives
Textual objective:
During the text–based discussion, the student will discuss what the main character in the story said, looked like, acted like, and felt like.
Strategy objective:
At the end of this minilesson, the students will be able to identify the 4 different character traits and give at least 1 example of each with 70 percent
accuracy.
PART II: LESSON NARRATIVE

Personal Narrative: The Five W's In High School
I was in the second grade when I first learned the Five W's (and one H): the Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How of things. My teacher
probably taught them as they were related to setting, but I was too busy reeling in shock to listen to the rest of the lesson. (Although if we're being
realistic, I was probably just daydreaming about my latest read.) My mind had been blown. Nothing would ever be the same.
What I had just begun to understand at the tender age of eight was that these are the foundations of questioning. Anything you want to know can be
found out using one of these six words. Allow me to demonstrate.

They are the basis to all learning. And over the past few years, I've learned just how important these questions are.
Not many people ask questions simply for the sake of asking anymore. One of the most frequently asked questions I've heard as a high school student
is "Will this be on the test?" The second most common is "What was the homework?"
Rarely do people inquire just because they want to know. When they do ask, they settle for the easy answers–the ones that will be on the final and the
AP test. If they dare to delve deeper, they might contemplate how important a person has to be to be considered assassinated rather than just murdered,
or perhaps what quality makes the difference between obscurity and popularity in a song. And indeed, these questions are worth their fair share of

between assassination and murder, instead of looking on each human death as a tragedy of equal merit. Where others seek knowledge for the test grade,

Lyrics To The Song 'Immobility'
Immobility. Don't come near me. I'll push you away. Don't ask why. That's just how I feel. I don't ask for the skies to open anymore. I don't have the
strength. Did you know, though, that the thread has no points for the eye to rest for a bit? Just ends. I don't ask for the fairy that I was once looking
for. I was a kid back then. Nobody understands why you react that way. At least I found out beside you. I'm not extravagant, either crappy nor mean.
I'm just hurt. But i get tired that I have to hide all the time. I'm tired of this mask.
I don't seek for essence anymore. And if I find it, do you think I'd get bored? Even if nothing fades me. Even if I still hurt. Even if nothing fulfills me.
I'll find the night I want to relax into, though.

Personal Narrative: Duck The Weiner Dog
I don't remember how I got old so quickly, or how I got in this nursing home. Well, as a matter of fact I don't remember much these days. One thing
I do remember though is that no one, and I mean no one, can beat me in bingo. It seems just yesterday that I was in my room as a little kid playing
bingo with my best friend, Duck the weiner dog. Maybe that's why I never lost, because I was playing a dog. Nevermind that, It's 10 o'clock now,
why did I get up so early, and at noon, that's when the fun starts. At noon that's when the fun starts... did I already say that, I can't remember anymore.
Noon, when the fun starts, and by fun I mean bingo. I still havent got out of bed and it's already 10:09. I can't really see well so every time I need the

Amelia Earhart As An Inspirational Person
An inspirational person that I truly adore would persist as Amelia Earhart. I admire her completely, considering how she portrayed herself as the first
woman that proved to the world that women can engage in the same activities as men. Although Amelia was a female, she kept receiving attention by
having similar interests as men. Amelia felt that she could prove them wrong. She got on a plane and almost achieved her goal; ascending across the
ocean in an airplane, however, the only downside that occurred was the disappearance of the plane.
If I had the chance to meet her I would ask her why she stood up? In fact, I would also ask why she found it necessary to prove that she could fly a
plane just as exceptional as a man? The way she stood ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In all honesty, she demonstrated off her strengths and proved that woman are just as exceptional as men, or unbelievably superior. If I could, I
would ask to accompany her on her travels. The greatest answer of all time would be her saying yes to me. A dream of mine would be to accompany
her and ascend up in the sky right by her side. I do not know what I would find, but if I could go back into the past, I would definitely ask her why she
wanted to be the first female flier. Amelia Earhart would be the person I would interview considering she took a chance to stand up for women and I
admire her for that. In fact, without her brave triumph, I have no idea where women would be at right now. This act of hers is why I adore herself is
truly remarkable to me. She stood up by believing that she could achieve any goal as if she was a man. Everyone thought that she was crazy, but that
did not stop her. She went far as the first female flier in history! Whereas men attain the simple road considering how men were portrayed. Men
were always put first considering their sex. Men were considered strong where woman were considered weak. Amelia helped prove this wrong by
proving to the world that women can fly planes too. I want to ask Amelia these questions because I would feel a sense of closure, knowing why she
did what she did. That will help me grow as a person, by making me believe that I can achieve my goals and dreams too. Besides, I

Miss Brandy-Personal Narrative
I know it isn't appropriate to discuss so openly in front of the rest of my class, my emotional issues but a part of me, a part of me wants to and a part of
me feels like I need to speak. I need to speak, for I am afraid, I am afraid that if I do not speak, I may crumble and I am afraid that I may not have this
opportunity again. So I begin speaking.
"I am a walking paradox Miss Brandy... You see, the problem is, Iwant to speak but I am too afraid to, I want to move on but I want to stay living in
the past, I want to accept that my Dad is no longer here but accepting means that is is real. I want to speak openly about my emotions but I don't want

To the point where you actually feel like you are going to implode with emotion, however you have to stop yourself.
I carry dark secrets around with me that cause my grief, intense feelings of grief and I know one day I will have to speak aloud about these feelings, I
will have to face facts and just grieve. Because, if I do not, I am afraid I may die a broken man and I couldn't do that to her.
Grief is the price we pay for love, and in conclusion to this, love is the gift we receive for dealing with grief. There is always a rainbow at the end of a
hurricane after all. A storm never lasts, it eventually passes but before you can allow it to pass youneed to accept the situation and you need to keep
your head held high and move on but you can only do that through writing, through talk, through telling. Through pure, simple, honesty and then you
will be set free."
I hold my breath as Chakotay finishes his piece. Why do I feel like he is perhaps indirectly trying to tell me something regarding my Dad? What is
happening right now? I want answers to questions, I do not want to ask. A walking paradox, that is what I am and I am afraid that is all I may ever

All the lights, beaming, burning down on the shy 10 year old, frozen in the sudden spotlight, unsure whether to sing, or to run off the stage.
Expectations all of a sudden changed from just a part of the choir now to leading the choir, through this unexpected solo. In a sense that's what it
felt like, I was thrust into the role of man of the house after my older brother went off to college and later medical school, and I wasn't quite ready
for it. There was only time to learn on my own and take what my older brother taught me to be responsible in the household. All of a sudden,
everything was put in a stronger light, and it felt as if I was watched, and critiqued more than I used to be. For me to be the man my family wished me
to be, it was either grow up, or give up; there was no time to be a baby, there was no time to take my time. The edge to do the right thing was
mightier than it may have been for another 10 year old. From watching over the house when my mom wasn't home, to taking care of my brother
everyday, my days now consisted of homework, housework, and a daycare role for my brother. Yet given the circumstances, this 10 year old

science proves that animals do in fact relieve stress. So, if I could ask for one privilege from my parents I would ask for a dog.
My first reason as to why I would like a dog is because it would help me be more responsible. Dogs are just like humans they need to be eat everyday

Joe And Jackie : O ' Revoir, Je T ' Aime
Joe and Jackie: Au Revoir, Je T'aime It all began with a simple phone call one night after dinner, "Joe," my father hollered up the stairs, "it's for you.
It's Jackie and she sounds upset." As I came downstairs to pick up the phone, I was not happy. I was tired and had looked forward to a nice quiet
evening at home, not another stupid adventure with Jackie. Thirty minutes later, however, Jackie's silver Mustang convertible swung into our
driveway, and Jackie was leaning on the horn before the car came to a full stop. Grabbing my coat from the coach, I walked out my front door with
all the enthusiasm of a man going to stand before a firing squad. Jackie was wearing a white AE shirt, a pair of ripped jeans and Vans. Her hair was
straightened and she was wearing her glasses. "Get in this car right this moment!" She fumed, "I can't believe you forgot we had a date tonight!"
Jackie had a playful smirk on her face. That's the other thing, Jackie is my girlfriend. She might come off mean, but she's really funny and kind. Myself
on the other hand, I'm a pretty laid back guy. I like my free time a lot, but I really enjoy my time with Jackie, despite my unamused outward appearance.
I walked over to Jackie's car, and hopped through the window of her passenger seat and sat down. "Hey Jackie, kind of grouchy today, aren't we?" I
jokingly said, returning the playful smirk. "We've got a movie and dinner date tonight! I had to make sure you were ready!" Jackie replied as she threw

Rainbow Dash glanced down at her saddlebag, letting a monotonous sigh as she looked over the bunch of rolled up maps poking out from the sack.
With a look of profound determination, she lifted her hoof and knocked on the door.

Emotional Loneliness
Psychology has many concepts and theories that we all can relate to. They explain why we do the things we do. Also explains why we feel the way
we do and how to meet are needs. One of many concepts is emotional loneliness. It is defined as having relationships that are not satisfying and
having no interpersonal relationships. There are many types of loneliness but not all are permanent. Emotional loneliness is when the person has no
intimate attachment figure. Social loneliness is when the person has no friendship network to lean on. Transient loneliness is different because it
happens after having satisfying relationships. A death or a move can cause transient loneliness. The disadvantages of being lonely are being at higher
risk for cardiovascular disease and cancer. I can relate to this a lot because I'm constantly lonely. I'm a nice person and caring; so I don't understand

It's to maximize benefits and minimize costs. This concept helps us determine the worth of the relationship. Rewards could be things like gifts,
recognition, smile or a nod. Costs would be punishments like beating, humiliation or a frown. An example of this concept would be asking
someone to go on a date with you. The person says no which is a punishment. Since they said no you are likely to be nervous about doing this
interaction again in the future. If you ask someone on a date and get a yes then it's a reward which makes you likely to do it again. When I cried in a
therapist office before and only received a blank stare; I felt uncared about. I was experiencing social exchange theory when I cried and wanted

could tell she was serious and I did not know why she was mad and she would not tell me why.
While I was thinking of what to say or ask her, the subject of psychology came to my mind and I thought I could use helpful strategies to get me
through this. So I remembered AMPP; ask, mirror, paraphrase and prime. AMPP is a powerful strategy skill that helps build up safety to encourage
others to share what they are feeling. I suddenly thought, this would be a perfect time to use this skill to see if it actually works in a real–life experience.

Since she did not tell me why, I used mirroring to state how she was feeling back to her, and I said, "you seem to be very angry at me", which was
kind of a given, but I needed more information as to why she was mad. Next, I could not really use paraphrasing because she had not told me any
reason for why she was mad, so I had to jump to prime, which is the last technique to use only if nothing else worked. So finally, I asked her if she
was mad at me for the reason I thought she was mad at me for (which I do not need to mention), but I was not sure, and I did not want to just ask her
that

Hero Essay : A Hero As A Hero
According to dictionary.com a hero is "a person noted for courageous acts or nobility of character". When I hear the word "hero" every time my mind
automatically thinks about God. God has showed my many ways already throughout my life of how he has proven himself as a hero not only to me
but to everyone. Although yes he has amazing stories throughout the bible that show his hero like characteristics I want to focus on one important
personal story that stands out to me It was one boring Sunday afternoon in July of 2008, we had went to church this Sunday and we had came home
just relaxing when my dad said
"Hey Ben, Jake, and Grace, who wants to pick some blackberries this afternoon?"
One thing about my dad is every summer when the blackberries are ready to be picked he will bribe my siblings and I to pick blackberries. This is
no easy job because blackberries grow all up and down our mile long wooded driveway. However Ben and I were up for the job. We got our milk
jugs that had the top cut off so we could put the blackberries that we picked in them. Once we got the milk jugs we headed out the door and got on our
bikes to start the amazing hot adventure. We had been picking blackberries for what felt like hours, which turned out being maybe ten minutes. We
thought we were doing really good and we thought we had picked so many berries until we looked down in our jug to only see that the bottom was
barely covered. At this point in time we were pouring sweat and we were hot

If I Could Ask Raina 3 Questions

  • 1. If I Could Ask Raina 3 Questions If I could ask Raina three questions my questions would be. Why didn't you and your sister get along at first? Why was your Amara always mad? After the road trip to Colorado did you and your sister still get along? If I could ask Raina three questions I would ask her those because I still don't get how at first she didn't get along with her sister when Raina couldn't wait to be a big sister. My first question was: Why didn't you and your sister get along at first? I would ask Raina that because as said in the book her sister was "cute, but she's also a cranky, grouchy baby, and mostly prefers to play by herself" but Raina could've tried playing with her or talk to her and maybe Amara wouldn't be a grouchy girl. My second question... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I would want to ask her that because as said in the book Amara was "cute, but she's also a cranky, grouchy baby" Raina couldn't wait to be a big sister. But once Amara is born things aren't quite how she expected them to be. She was a cute baby, but she was also a ranky grouchy baby with a bad attitude most of the time she was mad. The second question I would ask Raina would be: Why was Amara always mad? Things that lead me wonder about why she was always mad was when Raina would try to play with her but Amara would prefer playing by herself. That made me think Amara was always mad because she didn't want anyone playing with her. The third question that I would ask Raina is: After the road trip to Colorado did you and your sister get along? I would ask her that because when the car stopped and they were so bored and didn't have anything to do they started playing and were sisters after all. But something that lead me wonder this was what if Amara stopped Raina from getting rid of her snake because she didn't want her to get rid of it because it meant a lot to her but Amara was just lying and said that to stop her. I wonder why she would stop her when at first they didn't get along ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Strengths And Weaknesses Of Interview No matter who asks a question for an interview does not matter if it's the teacher, HR manager, student or even the principal or members, it will always be important. Though the applicant's resume, cover letter and job application give interviewers an impression of his or her background and skills, the interview may be the finest chance the applicant must make a satisfactory impression. To hire to most qualified applicants, HR Managers must know enough information on how to perform the interviews effectively (SHRM). The way human resource professionals and hiring managers interview applicants can be crucial in classifying the top applicants for a job. But there would be a few questions that would be important to me and one of those would be: What are your strengths and weaknesses? That is an amazing question to ask individuals because from the start you will of course know that they are good at and what they are not good at. You will know what they must work on and what kind of training that they individual would have to attend. That would be a good question for me because I would know what I would have to improve on for me to be proficient in my job, to make my job a lot easier, and to just make me feel good about myself. It would also make me enjoy my job more if I were to fix my weaknesses and turn them into my strengths. Another good question would be: What innovative teaching methods have you used successfully in the past? That is a great question to be asked so that they know what you have did in the past to help your job better and for it to run smoothly. It is always good to know what the individual can do to make his teaching a lot easier for him and the students. All the questions that are asked would have to remain. They all are good questions to be asked. There would be no point to remove any of the question. The questions asked by the principal, interview panel and HR manager would all show if the applicant is suitable for the job. They would also show the how the applicant would react to certain situation and to hear his potential from his/her past experiences. The questions that would be asked by the students would show how they would interact with them and how good of a teacher they would be. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. My Mother, God Shaped Me Through my mother, God shaped me; by witnessing her, convictions, strong morals, loving disposition, nonjudgmental nature and unshakable faith. I learned why we should never judge others because we are all God's children. I learned my faith is permanent and there is nothing and no one that can make me stop believing. I learned how precious life is and to never give up. When I say, I learned true Christian values from my mom I am not talking about things my mother said nearly as much as I am talking about the actions I witnessed. My mother was extremely well versed in the Bible; however, she never used Bible verses as weapons. As a matter of fact it meant more when my mom did quote the Bible because she didn't do it all the time and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I didn't blame them, after all he was dirty, loud, he acted confused, and he wasn't exactly speaking coherently. I watched him make his way over to the tiny pharmacy department. He quickly got into a loud augment with the Pharmacist who even I had to admit was being rather rude to him. I stared intently at a rack of sunglasses I had no interest in trying to pretend the homeless man was nonexistent. I remember literally praying to God to make him go away or at least stay away from my mom and I. All of the sudden I hear my mom's voice. I looked up from the rack of grocery store sun glasses in a hurry. I saw my mom standing about twenty feet away from me chatting with the guy. I got very anxious and I ran over to my mom as if to protect her. As I got close I realized she wasn't bothered by this man at all. I became very aggravated with my mom. I couldn't believe she was doing that, chatting with him. Although I stood very close to my mom I try so hard to not look up at the man. After chatting with him for at least ten minutes they parted ways. I didn't say a word to my mom until we got to the car. Then I went off. I ask her what she was thinking send why couldn't she have done what everyone else had done ignore him. I make my distress know to my mom. • 4. An American Casual Cafe With Amazing Food If I was given the opportunity to take Jesus Christ out to lunch, I would take him to Cheddar 's. Cheddar 's is an American casual cafe with amazing food. When we arrive at Cheddar 's I believe Jesus would order the Lemon pepper whitefish with a water to drink, and I would order the 6oz steak with a water also. First off having the chance to eat lunch with Jesus would be such a great blessing, so I wouldn't be able to keep from asking him a few questions. While me and Jesus were waiting on our food, I would began to ask him a few questions that I would love to have the answers to. The first question I would ask him would be why he gave his life for a sinner like me? The next question I would ask is why does he forgive me when I constantly fail him on a daily basis? The last question I would ask Jesus if I had the chance, would be why do our loved ones get taken away from us so fast? First, while me and Jesus were waiting on our food at Cheddar's I would ask him, why he gave his life for a sinner like me? In response I believe he would answer something close to the following, he gave his life and died on the cross out of love for his father and for the fallen human race. He would then go on to say how he died so that we may have an eternal life with him and his father in Heaven. I also believe that he would quote a few verses out of the Bible. One of them being "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Pain into Beauty Essay Pain into Beauty People look back on their childhoods in different ways. Some see it as a time of joy and laughter, love and learning. Many feel a bittersweet mixture of happy nostalgia, and painful moments. Some prefer not to look back at all, seeking only to move forward. Then there are people like me, who look back in anger, bitterness, and sorrow. It seems that few people enjoy apain–free upbringing. In fact, the very idea of childhood is a fairly new concept. In the early part of the last century, children were considered miniature adults, and were expected to act that way. Abuse, as defined today, was ignored and sometimes encouraged. "Spare the rod and spoil the child." Today, abuse is carefully defined and is illegal, but many... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... So he turned to an old friend for help. She agreed to raise me, and four years later she and my father married. My new step–mother was now, for all intents and purposes, my mother. I called her Mommy, and later Mom, and at first all was well. We moved to Denver, Colorado during my first year of life, into a duplex. It was a very small house, painted a deep blue. It is in this house that my best memories were made. They are of course very hazy, as I was only three or four, but there are no unhappy times at this point. I was the only child in my immediate family, and so was doted upon by every auntie and uncle, by every granny and grandpa. I was the little queen of my little world. At that point in time holidays were the best. I was showered in gifts and clothing, and love. I consider this time, from the age of zero to five, as being the best years of my life even if they are a bit hazy. At the age of five I was a vibrant, joyful ball of energy. Everything was an adventure, even breaking my collar bone. I loved my life and my family. But once again tragedy struck and this time it struck my step–mother. Her mother had been battling lung cancer, and she could no longer fight. My step–mother was devastated, and I now believe this may have been the beginning of my problems. She began to change, in subtle ways. Her patience was far less, and nothing I did was right. She cried more often, and would become angry for no ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Personal Statement: Why I Want To Learn Why would we want to learn? Learning is difficult. Luckily, we have an unsung hero willing to help us when we need it the most. The question 'why'. It is a short and simple word, but using it, we receive the ability to learn. It is human nature to want to know more, and the question 'why' is the solution. We ask 'why' whenever we don't know something or want to know something better. Most of theknowledge I've gained has been through asking 'why'. Asking 'why' has changed my life. It is both a word and a question. Because of it, I am able to learn more about what is going on in the world around me. My parents tell me that ever since I was a little boy I had been curious. Asking 'why' to everything I could. The first example I think of is the classic "why is the sky blue?" The fact hasn't changed, I'm still as curious as I was when I was little. Asking the question provides an insight to a deeper understanding since it almost always gets an answer. Even though I have procured much of my knowledge through asking 'why', I think I learned the most when my 'why' was unanswered. It is very strange when an adult who has had much more time to learn cannot answer the simple question. This leads me to one of my life goals, to be the first to answer one of these unanswerable 'whys'. I want to be the one who is allowed the satisfying ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Right now learning is the most important thing in my life and I strive to learn every day. Whether I learn from my mistakes, or from asking questions, or just from experience, learning is essential to life. 'Why' is also essential to life. Where would humans be without someone asking why? We all should not be afraid to ask, but should ask regularly. What I'm trying to say is that the question 'why' is revolutionary in my life. It has changed me into a curious and inquisitive person. We're in India, but zoom into my bijou shop in Khurja. Well, here we are, my shop, Ally's Blue World. Ally's Blue World has every type of Khurja pottery anyone could imagine. Blue pottery with yellow accents, blue pottery with rusty red accents, blue pottery with any color accent. I know I'm a self–taught painter and potter, but these are all of my dad's styles and techniques, and he was an astounding potter and painter, everyone loves his pottery. I just don't know why she dislikes it. "Is there any reason why you dislike my pottery?", I ask after my inquiry. Maeliyah barely lifted an eyebrow at my question, as if she didn't care. Moments later Maeliyah speaks up saying, "It's not a enjoyable enough style to be bought,". I felt extremely downhearted on that comment, still not knowing why she disliked my pottery I ask, "Is there anyway I can cause you to fancy it?". • 9. My Experience In My Life One hour later and my life became changed forever. My loving and caring family I bonded with, would no longer be the same. The long walks with my mom in the evening would soon become a distant memory. Decorating for the holidays was just around the corner and I would have to hang up the stocking on the chimney without her. The sweet, rich, chocolate brownies she made every Friday night would leave my taste buds empty. Her hugs that made me feel loved when I was sad would now be a thought in my head, and our long talks about growing up and finding my way would be cut short. It all started when I was sitting in class on a hot September day. Sixth period just started, and my class had about thirty kids in it. I was staring at a tiny and energetic bee flying around the room while my teacher talked about the Pythagorean theory and the simple equation that followed. Ashley, my closest friend was sitting next to me and we began hysterically laughing about what happened to me at lunch the period before. Long story short, I spilled an entire container of chocolate milk all over my new, white, ripped jeans. My pants were no longer white, and I was the talk of the lunch room. I was never the popular kid in school, so this event only made matters worse for me. Fifteen minutes before sixth period was over and my classroom got a telephone call for me to come down to the main office. I was ecstatic that I could leave the room early. • 12. The Stone Age Poem The poetess realistically depicts the burdens of domestic life, sickness, her ageing and decaying of body, and the anticipation of death in the final passage: I shall be the fat–kneed hag in the long queue The one from whose shopping bag the mean potato must Roll across the road. I shall be the patient On the hospital bed, lying in drugged slum And dreaming of home. I shall be the grandmother Willing away her belongings, those scraps and trinkets More lasting than her bones. Perhaps some womb in that Darker world shall convulse, when I finally enter, A legitimate entrant, marked by discontent. (Gino) The Stone Age, one of the finest poems in this anthology, strongly expresses the note ofrebellion against male domination. The wife resents the restraints imposed on her. The husband who is described as an "Old fat spider" weaves "webs of bewilderment" around her and confines her within the four walls of domesticity. She painfully complains. You turn me into a bird of stone, a granite Dove, you build round me a shabby drawing room, And stroke my pitted face absent mindedly while you read. She dislikes him as other men haunt her mind. Yet, as day dreams, strong men cast their shadows, they sink Like white suns in the swell of my Dravidian blood. (The Stone Age) In the absence of the husband she knocks at another's door. She asserts her individuality and challenges domesticity. A note of rebellion and defiance is strongly expressed in this poem. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Becoming a Helper: A Reflection on Self Awareness and Cultural Competence In early elementary school, I would go into people's desks, break their pencils, and then find a glue stick and tape, put them back together, and put them back in their desk. Now, you must be thinking, what kind of horrible child does something so intentionally mean? However, that's thething. My intentions were always good because I was trying to help people. I wasn't thinking "oh I want to break their pencils," but rather "I want to fix their pencils, but they need to be broken in order for me to do so." The Helping Trait Since I was three years old, I've known I wanted to help people. In fact, I've always had my heart set on being a doctor. It wasn't until two years ago that I realized nursing was actually right for me. When people ask me why, I often struggle how to put it into words, but deep down I believe it is because nursing is a profession that focuses less on the science behind the disease, and more about the science of caring. The nurses are the ones who are always there next to the patient's bedside, providing comfort, love, and compassion. A nurse knows their patients inside and out. Especially when it comes to children, nurses know what the patient's favorite toy is, or what their favorite popsicle flavor is. Nurses have huge hearts. They prioritize everyone else's happiness and needs above their own. They are truly angels in human form. Nurses give a piece of themselves to their ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The police have apprehended their only known survivor, witness, and suspect. 17 year old Mercer Fink is currently being held by authorities, for questioning, in the Cold Spring Detention Center. All though she maintains her innocence, the teen has the evidence stacked up against her. The autopsy showed blunt force trauma and a gunshot wound to the head were the causes of death for each of the victims while the ballistic report proved that the bullets came from the Fink family gun. Further tests are being done, but it looks like the troubled teen will rot in a cell for many years to come. "I'm sorry to ask this again Ms.Fink, but could you please restate what happened the night of the murders?" I knew what they were doing. • 16. Rainbow Fish Book Analysis Text: The Rainbow Fish, by Marcus Pfister Grade level equivalent: Pre–K and Kinder Genre: Picture Book Synopsis: It is a picture book about a Fish, named Rainbow Fish, who thinks he is too beautiful to hang out with all the other fish. As a result, Rainbow Fish ends up lonely. At the end,Rainbow Fish learns that it is better to have friends than to be prideful. Demands of the Text Genre/organizational demands: Picture books are books that contain many illustrations, especially for children. The illustrations are as important (or, in some cases, even more important than) the words in the story. My students will need to understand that pictures usually add to the text of the story. They will also need to understand that text represents spoken words. Thus, my students need to be able to interpret pictures and be able to recognize one–to–one correspondence between a written word and a spoken word. Background knowledge demands: For this book, students must know what fish and scales are. They will also need to know that fish live under the sea. High–level Thinking about the Text While I amreading this book aloud, I will ask critical thinking questions, using the upper and lower end of Bloom's Taxonomy. Some of the questions that I will ask are the following: 1.Can someone describe Rainbow Fish for me? 2.What is one of the descriptive words that the author uses? 3.Why did the author say this? 4.What is going on in this scene? 5.How do someone's character traits affect how they act or what they say? 6.Can someone give me a summary of this story or tell me what it is about? Lesson Objectives Textual objective: During the text–based discussion, the student will discuss what the main character in the story said, looked like, acted like, and felt like. Strategy objective: At the end of this minilesson, the students will be able to identify the 4 different character traits and give at least 1 example of each with 70 percent accuracy.

(Although if we're being realistic, I was probably just daydreaming about my latest read.) My mind had been blown. Nothing would ever be the same. What I had just begun to understand at the tender age of eight was that these are the foundations of questioning. Anything you want to know can be found out using one of these six words. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They are the basis to all learning. And over the past few years, I've learned just how important these questions are. Not many people ask questions simply for the sake of asking anymore. One of the most frequently asked questions I've heard as a high school student is "Will this be on the test?" The second most common is "What was the homework?" Rarely do people inquire just because they want to know. When they do ask, they settle for the easy answers–the ones that will be on the final and the AP test. If they dare to delve deeper, they might contemplate how important a person has to be to be considered assassinated rather than just murdered, or perhaps what quality makes the difference between obscurity and popularity in a song. And indeed, these questions are worth their fair share of time, but only scratching the surface of what might be contemplated does not suffice for me. Instead, I wonder why, as a society, we differentiate between assassination and murder, instead of looking on each human death as a tragedy of equal merit. Where others seek knowledge for the test grade, I've spent the majority of my life probing subjects that will never serve me on exams. There was only time to learn on my own and take what my older brother taught me to be responsible in the household. Yet given the circumstances, this 10 year old persevered. He disregarded the new "spotlight," the new intensified responsibilities, and instead of running off the stage, embraced the role, and embodied the new responsibilities instead of shying away from them. Joe And Jackie : O ' Revoir, Je T ' Aime Joe and Jackie: Au Revoir, Je T'aime It all began with a simple phone call one night after dinner, "Joe," my father hollered up the stairs, "it's for you. It's Jackie and she sounds upset." As I came downstairs to pick up the phone, I was not happy. I was tired and had looked forward to a nice quiet evening at home, not another stupid adventure with Jackie. Thirty minutes later, however, Jackie's silver Mustang convertible swung into our driveway, and Jackie was leaning on the horn before the car came to a full stop. Grabbing my coat from the coach, I walked out my front door with all the enthusiasm of a man going to stand before a firing squad. Jackie was wearing a white AE shirt, a pair of ripped jeans and Vans. Her hair was straightened and she was wearing her glasses. "Get in this car right this moment!" She fumed, "I can't believe you forgot we had a date tonight!" Jackie had a playful smirk on her face. That's the other thing, Jackie is my girlfriend. She might come off mean, but she's really funny and kind. Myself on the other hand, I'm a pretty laid back guy. I like my free time a lot, but I really enjoy my time with Jackie, despite my unamused outward appearance. I walked over to Jackie's car, and hopped through the window of her passenger seat and sat down. "Hey Jackie, kind of grouchy today, aren't we?" I jokingly said, returning the playful smirk. "We've got a movie and dinner date tonight! I had to make sure you were ready!" Jackie replied as she threw ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Rainbow pushed through the Golden Oak Library's front door and made her way over toward Twilight's desk, then placed her saddlebag on it. "What 's this about, Dash?" None of us had the courage to run to begin with. It didn't take long for them to start marching us, barefoot, down the rocky dirt road towards what would be certain death for most of us. I was shivering, but couldn't tell whether it was from the brisk morning air or my apprehension of what was to come. The girl next to me looked even more scared than I felt, though. I felt bad for her– just another unlucky one, like me. It was only two hours' walk to the base of the tower. When we arrived there, the groups from other cities were already lined up, shivering and cold. I knew the drill, of course, everyone in town did. Although most of what I'd been told had probably been horribly exaggerated. Hopefully, at least. Soon, we would be forced into the great tower. Prolong Dungeon, they called it. Not long ago, massive towers just like these sprung up all over the world. Those who reached the top were said to have gained enormous powers. Unfortunately, those over sixteen were unable to enter. The government, seeking to gain the immense power of the tower–clearers, started to Seize thirty children of the appropriate age each year. This was decided through lottery, and I had been one of the unlucky Seized. We all were. There were a couple times when I sneered at the kids who had been taken. Horrible, I know. Also explains why we feel the way we do and how to meet are needs. One of many concepts is emotional loneliness. It is defined as having relationships that are not satisfying and having no interpersonal relationships. There are many types of loneliness but not all are permanent. Emotional loneliness is when the person has no intimate attachment figure. Social loneliness is when the person has no friendship network to lean on. Transient loneliness is different because it happens after having satisfying relationships. A death or a move can cause transient loneliness. The disadvantages of being lonely are being at higher risk for cardiovascular disease and cancer. I can relate to this a lot because I'm constantly lonely. Since they said no you are likely to be nervous about doing this interaction again in the future. If you ask someone on a date and get a yes then it's a reward which makes you likely to do it again. This has affected my life by helping me getting through arguments with my friends, family or really anyone who I come in conflict with. The one technique, AMPP, has helped me a lot because sometimes me and my friends argue and they do not tell me what I did wrong, so I use that technique to help us resolve our problem. One time I started texting my friend and she would not reply to me at first, so I kept texting back and asking her why she wasn't answering, and she finally replied back that I did something and she does not want to talk to me. Usually when we get into fights, we just joke around, but this time I could tell she was serious and I did not know why she was mad and she would not tell me why. While I was thinking of what to say or ask her, the subject of psychology came to my mind and I thought I could use helpful strategies to get me through this. So I remembered AMPP; ask, mirror, paraphrase and prime. AMPP is a powerful strategy skill that helps build up safety to encourage others to share what they are feeling. One thing about my dad is every summer when the blackberries are ready to be picked he will bribe my siblings and I to pick blackberries.
