2. Learning Preferences
• Reflective – 5
• Even though the score shows that I am more reflective, I am also very
active and impulsive. I enjoy working in groups but if I don’t agree
with my group mates, I would rather work on my own.
• Sensing – 5
• I disagree with this score for sensing. I believe I am much more
Marcus Won
intuitive because I like innovation and change and I don’t enjoy
repetition.
• Visual – 7
• I agree fully with my score on my visual preference. I am very much a
visual learner rather than a verbal learner and I tend to be able to
link pictures to texts. A picture is worth 1000 words.
• Sequential -1
• I also agree with my score for a sequential learner because I like
learning step-by-step and seeing how things form, but I also
sometimes am able to just “get it” as global learners do.
3. Learning Pathway
• Learning Sage: New knowledge –
Broader investigation into more
technologies
• I chose this pathway because I
wanted to learn about various
Marcus Won
types of technologies and how
they could help me learn at a
more efficient and effective
way; how I could use them
both inside and outside the
classroom.
4. Specific Multimedia Activities
• Lecture
• Gave information just like a teacher would show, allowing
students to follow along with the lecture
• Screencast
• Visually stimulating and allowed for students to watch and read
Marcus Won
along as the teacher lectures
• Multimedia Links
• Gave specific links to information on multimedia
• Allowed students to search and read information on their own
and helped answer questions that the student may have had
5. Exploring Multimedia
• Screencasts
• Helped by visually stimulating my mind allowing me to be active in the
lecture, relating the pictures to the lecture and connecting pictures to
examples that were given and helped me remember important
concepts.

• Podcasts
• I was able to download podcasts on my iPod for sermons and I listened
to them while I was driving or walking. They were very convenient when
I had nothing to think about and being able to listen to them over and
over allowed me to remember and reflect on what I just listened to.
• Multimedia
• By using various types of multimedia I was able to record and watch the
media over to review and memorize important facts. I was also able to
again be visually stimulated to keep me interested in the lectures or the
program that I was viewing.
6. Synthesizing Technologies
• Podcasts interested me the most as a multimedia learning tool
because I was able to take the lecture or sermons on the go,
to be able to listen to them whenever or wherever I wanted
to. I could replay and part and use them when I have nothing
to think about allowing me to focus fully on the information.
Marcus Won
• Newspapers and books surprised me most as a type of
multimedia learning tool because I had no idea that those
types of information were considered to be multimedia. I
thought that multimedia needed to be some sort of
technology or something that runs on electricity.
7. Synthesizing Technologies (Cont’)
• Video games are a type of multimedia learning tool that I
want to investigate more because I want to see how
professors will incorporate video games into a classroom
setting to teach and effectively help the students learn.
Marcus Won
• I’m not sure which technology doesn’t seem to work well
because all the technologies that I used actually helped me
understand and learn. I need to do more research in order to
find the types of multimedia that might hinder a student from
learning
8. Multimedia Learning Strategies
• Visual Learning Strategy
• After the class is over I will continue to always use a
visual learning strategy where I will try to find ways to
incorporate a visual stimulant so that I will able to be
Marcus Won
active and participate in discussions. I will be able to
recognize certain pictures and relate them to concepts
and information that I need to remember. I will
practice finding certain ways to be able to take the
information I receive and match them with a visual so
that I can relate them and remember them better.
9. Multimedia Technologies
• The multimedia technology that I will continue to use inside
and outside the classroom, for learning and non-learning, is
using podcasts. I have found that podcasts are very helpful
when I’m on the go and have nothing to think about. Instead
of turning on the radio, I could turn on my iPod and listen to a
Marcus Won
downloaded podcast on and lecture or sermon that I wanted
to. They are very handy because I can take it on the go
wherever and whenever I want. Finding out about using
podcasts was very helpful to me and I’m thankful that I have
many types of multimedia to help me learn. I’m very excited
to see the many types of future multimedia that are going to
be invented so that I can learn at a more efficient and effective
way.
