• The lymphatic system works with immune system to form cells, tissues, organs
and molecules to defend body invasion from the pathogens.
4. LYMPHATIC VESSELS
• They are like pipes that’s go through the lymph from the tissues toward the
thoracic cavity.
• They travel all the way to the capillaries in order for it to go back to the
circulatory system.
5. LYMPH NODES
• They are small organs composed of lymphatic tissue located in the way of
lymphatic vessels.
• They are helpful to remove pathogens, cell debris.
• Destroy cells from cancer tumors.
6. SPLEEN
• Located in the left upper quadrant of abdomen.
• Spleen filters out and destroys old red bloods, recycles the iron.
• Spleen can be removed due to a health urgent matter
• With out spleen they can developed bloodstream infections
7. THYMUS GLAND
• Located in the upper portion of the mediastinum
• Function the immune system and make antibodies
• This function is since unborn child, until adolescent.
8. TONSILS
• Tonsils help protect the body from invasion of pathogens through digestive or
respiratory system.
• They can be removed if urgent needed due to an infection.
