Xbox Vs Ps4 Research Paper
Did you know "65% of all families in the united states play video games?" According to the entertainment software association. But you have choices
to gaming, with consoles being the second most popular gaming device you have options to your console, you could choose the Ps4 made by Sony or
the Xbox one made by Microsoft but I'll be telling you why the ps4 is better.
One of your console options, the Xbox One that sells for $349.99 the cheaper of the two consoles. The Xbox one includes an external power brick and
external storage just like the previous model, the Xbox 360. Speaking of Xbox 360 the Xbox one is backward compatible, this means you can play all of
the Xbox 360 games on the Xbox one. Sadly the Xbox one does not include Bluetooth ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For starters, they're both originally black in color. Both have 500 gigabytes of storage, and 8 gigabytes of RAM. Similarly the Ps4 and Xbox one
require you to pay for online gaming and various other apps and activities. Additionally the Ps4 and Xbox one have cloud saved games which
track your progress and will save your content if you get a new console, and sign in with the same account. The Ps4 is better than the Xbox one
because it comes with a charging cable for the controller when bought, as for the Xbox one you need to buy either a charging dock or batteries.
Speaking of charging there is no bulky battery pack on the back of the controller making it easier to hold. In addition, the Ps4 itself has an internal
power supply oppose to the big, box–like power box on the Xbox one's cable.
Some other, less important reasons the Ps4 is better are the games download quicker and boot up/start quicker than the Xbox one. Speaking of games
the Ps4 has more exclusive games and more hyped up games than the Xbox one. Furthermore, the Ps4 is more aesthetically pleasing in the design than
the Xbox one which looks like a

An Evolved Gaming Industry
In 1971 the video game industry was born. For over forty years, video games have been on the rise, now more so then in the early years when it was
first introduced. Over the years as gaming corporation were continuously innovating new video game consoles and devices, consumers became more
aware of what this technology has to offer. But in order for technology giants to wheel in consumers to buy their product, they had to present it to the
general public, and give reasons why they should buy it. In order for video game corporations to stay in the game they will need to keep innovating and
that is exactly what they will continue to do. I choose to analyze three different visuals. The first ad is from Sony's Playstation 4, which calls out to all
of the hardcore gamers, the second ad is from Microsoft's Xbox One, which is more as a media hub which can please all of consumers
entertainment needs, and lastly Nintendo's ad for the Wii U, which is more of an all ages, family friendly console. The demographics say it all. A
survey done in 2013 shows that 58 percent of Americans play videos games. Of those 58 percent, there are 55 percent male gamers and 45 percent
female gamers. 32 percent of gamers are under the age of 18, while 32 percent are between the ages of 18 through 35, and the other 36 percent are
36 years and older. So what do these demographics say? Well, it is saying that gaming is indeed on the rise in American society. It also says that
because the majority of gamers

Sony is successfull in acquiring licenses and patents for building strategic partnerships and business development. Sony is licensed to use not only local
Japanese patents; in fact, Sony is even more successfull in obtaining licenses to use international (foreign) patents. Another interesting point is that
Sony can still use some other patents even without legally owning them.
Reputation of brand name and corporate image. Sony is a globally well–known brand name and it is illogical to question the top quality of the products
and services. Regarding the products, I always found the functionality and design very appealing. Regarding the services, Sony is famous for its
post–purchase services. Contacts are always kept with every client and warranty are available for products sold. Finally, Sony works hard to support
customer information centers in its biggest markets.
As a global brand, Sony is very successfull in expanding its business network and already covers more than 200 countries.
Finally, Sony has an effective supplier management system. The corporation has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nowadays, it takes just a few minutes for a customer to make research and evaluate competitors. Customer reviews provide others with valuable
insights. The point here is that this decreases switching (transaction) costs for customers to switch from Sony to Apple, for example, and vice versa. As
it was mentioned earlier, customers are sensitive to prices and price elasticity of demand is high. The most important thing that matters to customers is
price, not quality, because all of big players offer very similar products in terms of design and functionality. More customers prefer buying online, and
this pushes down switching (transaction) costs even further. To summarize, buyers have the power to influence Sony directly because they can easily
switch to competitors; but also indirectly, through exchange rates, as Sony is all about international

Halo 5: Guardians, the latest title developed by 343 Industries and Microsoft Game Studios brings the "Halo Experience" to the Xbox One, utilizing
the next generation hardware the new Xbox has to offer. New hardware for the Xbox also means new changes for Halo with larger maps, refined

File Sharing on the Internet When we think of pirates, we see scruffy men with unshaven chins, a bandana, a gold earing, a black patch on one eye,
and a wooden leg, men with guns in hand, riding the seas in their wooden ship proudly flying the terrifying skull and crossbones. Well, pirates these
days look much different. In fact, you may be sitting by one right now. They are ordinary people who have come to enjoy the technologies the Internet
provides. These pirates are boys and girls, women and men, who habitually root themselves in their desk chairs with eyes fixed on the computer screen.
But today's pirates have something in common with the pirates of days lost in history. Both steal what doesn't belong to them. Today's pirates... Show

In order to limit exchanging music, record companies want to make hardware and software to prevent music from being copied. But this would
prevent people from copying their own music. That means no making CD mixes or putting music from your CDs on the computer, which is all
perfectly legal. A handful of CDs already have certain features that prohibit the CD from being played on the computer and thereby prohibit the
CD from being copied. There are many legitimate reasons for someone to copy their CDs, however. First, instead of taking a whole bunch of CDs
when I go somewhere, I'd rather just take copies in case I would lose any. Second, how many times have you scratched a CD? Too many to count,
no doubt, and by being able to copy your CDs, you don't have to worry about not being able to listen to the CD just because you accidentally
scratched it. CDs are valuable items and thieves will gladly take them if they can, but if all your CDs are copied they're only stealing a worthless
copy and not the original. And if they happen to get their hands on your originals, you know that your CD won't be lost forever because you made a

Philips, The Largest European Light Bulb Producers
In Holland, Gerard Philips started a light–bulb factory with his father in 1892. Later, Gerard's brother, Anton, joined them adding his experience in

consumer electronics company in the world in the postwar era? What distinctive competence did they build? What distinctive incompetencies? When
Philips was founded in 1892, their strategy was to focus strictly on producing and selling light–bulbs. By investing in new production technology to
manufacture their light–bulbs, Philips became a leader in industrial research. Research in Gerard Philips' opinion was vital to implementing new
procedures, innovation, and improving production. At this time, Philips was using the home replication strategy. This strategy is used when a company
does not see any reason to adjust their domestic strategy as they enter international markets. Around 1918, Philips began expanding its product line
which made it more difficult to implement the home replication strategy. During the late 1930s, when the war was about to begin, Philips moved

MARKETING PLAN:
Most are "doers" and not "planners". If we want to do the right marketing activities in the right way we must start with a marketing plan. For that,
marketing planning must be continuously undertaken to see any shifting market conditions, changing customer needs, competitive threats as well as
potential opportunities.
MARKETING MIX:
Consists of the following 4 elements (Ps'):
Product Price Place (distribution) & Promotion
These 4 Ps' are the parameters that the marketing managers can control, subject to the internal and external constraints of the marketing environment.
The goal is to make decisions that center the 4 Ps' on the customer customers in the target market in order to create perceived value and generate a
positive response. PRODUCT:
The term "product" refers to tangible, physical products as well as services. It relates to the end–user's needs and wants. Here are some examples of the
product decisions to be made:
Brand name
Functionality
Styling
Quality
Safety

Play Station is better than Xbox. PlayStation has always been the best selling console. Even the original ps1 sold more the Xbox one ever did. All 4
PlayStations are ranked in the top 10 most sold consoles of all time. The ps2 was even the most sold console of all time with 158 million sales.
Another reason that PlayStation is better is that it has better graphics. The ps1,2,and 3 all had better graphics than the Xbox and Xbox 360. The ps4 and

Microsoft Xbox Essay
Microsoft targets numerous segments of the population of many countries through advertisements of its Xbox. Microsoft, one of the most successful
companies in the world, is using its innovations to take over the machine gaming market. Sony and Nintendo have been the gaming powerhouses for
many years now, but are now starting to become overshadowed by the success of Microsoft's Xbox. As long as gaming machines have been available,
teenage boys have been the targets of the companies. One new strategy that Microsoft is using is the targeting of all ages and both sexes of consumers.

This fact has really hurt the competitors. Microsoft has been smart with its advertisements. They have made many simple television, magazine, and
internet ads that have targeted all audiences. These advertisements do not use expensive celebrities, but they use what the segment for each game is
interested in. They also relate the advertisements for certain games to the television show, or the magazine the target segment watches or reads. For
example, on MTV, a station that is watched by a great number of teenage boys, an Xbox commercial came on emphasizing "hot" girls who are
featured in a game. This tells men of all ages, but primarily teenagers, that if you buy this Xbox game, not only can you have fun for days playing it,
but you can also see beautiful women while doing it. Another example is during an NFL football game, a commercial came on promoting a new
football game for the Xbox. Marketing strategies such as these are what Microsoft has used for years to become the top company that they are.
Relatively speaking, Microsoft uses many of the same strategies for its promotions as Sony and Nintendo.
Product positioning is the most difficult aspect of Microsoft's marketing strategy for the Xbox. Consumers know that Microsoft is a great company and
most computer owners have positive brand images of Microsoft. This really helps Microsoft get a jumpstart on their new product. But, the hard task

Tim Winton created Dolly to be a complicated character with the ability to change they way she is viewed and invoke specific emotions in the
intended audience. To create an influential character such a Dolly Tim Winton uses specific language techniques to capture her true nature and to
present it to the reader. The description of Dolly sets up her character for the rest of the novel, "Dolly Pickles was a damn good–looking woman," (15).
In that one sentence the reader picks up that Dolly is not merely a beauty but a promiscuous one who uses her image to have power over others.
The use of the adjective 'damn' stresses the point about Dolly's appearance of being a good looking woman but also it has the conation of the
devil. The devil is meant to be seductive to turn people away from right and to make sins which is what Dolly does, she tempts men into having
relations with her for her own benefit. An example of this is with Dolly having sex with Lester Lamb to repay the money he lent to Sam to help him
out of debt, "Dolly comes across, takes his cup, and kisses him...Was that rape, do you think? He asked... I spose not. More like a deposit on a hundred
quid... you're not handsome, but you're a nice fella. You got ninety quid's worth left..." (245–246). Other language techniques used in relation to Dolly

What Is The Dominant Identity Of The Goth Culture?
Questions: 1. Which group did you choose? Why did you pick that group? The group I chose is "Goth culture". The main reason I chose this group
"Goth culture" is because I want to know why they always wear everything black dresses no other colors and I want to learn about their subculture
what kind of work they do and what kind of music they listen to. 2. What is the dominant identity of the group? The dominant identity of the "Goth
culture" is very different from many other cultures such as the way they look, dress, and beliefs. The Goth peoples' style of dress within the culture

8. What about "wannabes"? What is the benefit of being a wannabe? How is their relationship with the larger society different from that of group
members? Wannabes in Goth culture are the young people who are between ages of 12–15 who considered themselves as a Goth, but they have no
idea what Goth culture is about. The wannabe Goth usually wear all the dark clothes, where they all wear way too much eyeliner, black lipstick, and
heavy chains, and point collars on their dresses. Some wannabe Goth dress up like they really are part of Goth, but at the same time they really are
not part of it. The benefit of being a wannabe is they can listen to all vampires and strange music that is related to horror; nobody could say anything to
them. The other benefit I believe they could have is they do not have to care about anything around them because of the attitude they keep; therefore,
they can leave the wannabe Goth anytime they want. Their relationship with the larger society is very different than the actual Goth people because
most of people thought that they are Goth when they are not, so they have to explain every time that they are not

Playstation Vs Xbox Essay
"You sitting on the couch! Do you even game, bro!? Well if you do come down here to Walmart where we now sell Playstations and Xboxes!" These
is what you usually hear from companies on commercials these days and you get excited cause their selling gaming consoles. Now you're stuck in a
conundrum you don't know which to buy a Playstation or Xbox, so even though they have a few major differences they are also extremely alike.
First Xbox, let's look at the design and user interface. The Xbox is huge way bigger than the PS4. On the top half of the the console is a vent
which means if you want to put something on top of it forget about it. Towards the backside of the Xbox is three USB ports, but only two are for
controllers. The controller ports are in the back are very awkward because there usually in the front. The Xbox runs off a Windows 10 UI (User
Interface) which makes the home screen more complex and harder to find things but very nice looking. Now let's look at the exclusive titles for the
Xbox. Some titles include Halo, Gears of War, Titanfall, and Sunset Overdrive. These titles are huge but since the Xbox runs off of a windows 10 UI
that means some games can also be played on the PC. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

USB ports are in the front like a normal gaming console. Now for the PS4's UI, it's a whole lot simpler and to me it's much neater. The user interface

SONY VAIO LAPTOP LAUNCH IN CHINA
AUGUST 30, 2013
This memorandum is to suggest that Sony should stay on its premium offering and be targeting the Chinese "status–focused" segment while at the
same time working on the "Quality of Lifers" and
"Technosocializers" segments and increase their value in our product which as a consequence will significantly be reinforcing Sony's market share and
sales in China within its coming launch of the VAIO laptop. The company's profits will increase accordingly and Sony gradually will be the dominant

The laptop market penetration is currently assessed at 50% of the current addressable market so growth in this market is slowing. Finding segments
within the market that differentiates VAIO from our competitors is a key to VAIO's future growth in the Chinese laptop marketplace. In the future it
can be expected that as the market matures a larger proportion of future sales will come from replacements or upgrades instead of sales to new
entrants in the laptop market. Additionally, approximately 50% of the working age population is 35 years old or less and this age range is driving a
move to status seeking in consumer purchases. Customer interviews have shown that SONY is considered a premium brand.
Although the laptop market will begin to mature with slower growth, we can capitalize on our strength of being a premium brand when customers
choose to replace or upgrade their laptops in the future. Our marketing program must continue to establish us in the mind of the status–seeking
consumer as a premium brand.
With this in consideration and as shown in exhibit 1, analysis from the CLUES report and Project

brand is considered a premium, fashionable, status enhancing laptop and this is one of our competitive strengths. After, reviewing the customer

Sony 's Corporate Brand Identity
Background
Sony is one of the largest consumer electronics manufacturers in the world. It has introduced various high quality products such as the Play Station
series product line. However, Sony has not managed to have a positive net income and has faced six net loss in the last seven years. Aiming for a
turning a round, Sony declares a goal of $4.8 million of operating profit in the fiscal year 2017 and targets a 10% return on equity (the Economist,
2015). Sony's business strategy to is to restructure and divide the company into three sectors, which are Growth Drivers, Stable Profit Generators, and

dollar, and the Euro (Griffin Consulting Group, 2012). Although the economic landscape is changing for Sony, the company has potential to grow
through its reorganizing activities.
Problem Statement
Sony must reposition its "growth driven" and "stable profit generator" sectors in their markets to increase its audience, achieve sales growth, profit
expansion and maximization, and capture market shares.
Alternative Solutions
To regain some of its market share in its "growth driven" and "stable profit generators" sectors, Sony can reposition its competition in the minds of
consumers. For instance, Sony can use comparative advertising to demonstrate that its brands are superior to its competitors. In this situation, Sony can
attempt to alter the portrayed image of its competitor, Nintendo, and position its PlayStation game console as the better–quality product (Positioning(
marketing), n.d).
Sony can also differentiate themselves in the market by employing a consumer–focused positioning strategy. A consumer–focused positioning strategy
revolves around consumers. This strategy can be tailor made to the audience by using social media, apps, and other online platforms to engage, access,
and directly communicate with consumers (Positioning(marketing), n.d.). Being consumer focused is in line with Sony's new planning

Introduction This study focuses on the way in which Philips has transformed its organization and culture in order to flourish in the modern competitive
world. Organizations today operate within an environment of change. As this environment is so dynamic, it is crucial for organizations to constantly
'reinvent themselves.' It is important, therefore, to continually adapt and move on. Nowhere is this more true than in the modern business environment,
where today's technology becomes out–of–date within a short span of time and in which there is intense global competition as firms jostle for the new
"huge markets" that are opening up. Philips is one of the world's leading electronics companies. Its products are diverse and range from coffee makers
to silicon chips, from recordings of Mozart's symphonies to cancer screening systems. Philips has been at the forefront of electronic innovation since
1891, registering some 65,000 patents and has been responsible for many of this century's greatest, most useful products such as:

Ebook Advantage
E–books has a long way to go?
Since the turn of the century, computers have become more portable, and technology has made many aspects of life more portable. Even books have
been become more mobile in recent years with the popularization of e–books available online and e–readers that allow a person to carry a virtual
library anywhere. With all the changes, there are some advantages and disadvantages brought by e–books. Is it feasible that it will disappear one day as
its disadvantages outweigh its advantages?
Advantages
1.It helps people who have trouble with their vision
I believe many of you must have come across some difficulties during reading. You may complain how small the words are and feel exhausted easily
after finishing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Readers can be more easily accessible to the relevant information
Another significant advantage with e–Book comes when the reader, student or business associate wants to capture key tips and phrases. With the digital
format, the reader can underline and highlight as much as is necessary without making permanent changes to the pages. But there is more! With an e–
Book the user can search and reference specific information using hyperlinks. The reader has immediate access to the sources used!
Disadvantages:
1.Eye strain When reading on paper, light reflects off the page and into your eyes naturally, however, withcomputer screens, the device projects light
into your eyes, causing headaches and possible long term damage to your eyesight. And while the LED projections used by e–readers dampen eye
strain, it still has an overall negative effect.
2. Information loss
E–books are just another file on a hard drive, and they often depend on the Internet to transfer from one location to another. A virus may invade your
computer or you might accidentally damage your e–readers or hard drive. Without a backup of your files, you could lose your entire book collection in
one fell swoop. Moreover, third parties can monitor or even hack your files.
3. Piracy
As with other media that has moved to digital distribution, e–books are often pirated. Writers work hard to create their art, and they deserve to be fairly
compensated for their effort. The prevalence of

The stakeholder for my eBook is Mr Patchigalla who will use my eBook in the future to give to the students who are interested in this course more
knowledge of the subject and a sense of what they will be doing. The eBook would cover all the aspects for Level 2 DIP and hopefully enable the

Video Games : The Decade Of Decadence
The 1980s were also known as the decade of decadence. Technology that had been introduced in the 1980s was not any different. Although most of
the major technology began in the 1970s, the 1980s improved on the technology and made it more affordable and available for mass consumer
consumption. The 1980s was truly the beginning of the personal electronic device revolution, making everything from computers to music and video
games more available for personal use. Video games were around long before the 1980s. Programmers had been making video games for arcades as

in the home gaming console industry paving the way for such companies as Sony and Microsoft, which dominate the video game industry today.
However, video games were not the only technology that made the leap to personal use. Computer technology was well in the works before the
1980s, yet, it was in the 1980s that the leap to home computing was made and thus launched the careers of two of the most famous men in the
computing industry, Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, and Steve Jobs, of the Apple Corporation. However, it was IBM that won the race to producing
the first personal computer. IBM introduced the first personal computer PC in August of 1991 (History of the PC). "The first PC was good but not
spectacular (History of the PC). However, IBM used many third party developers and companies, which helped, make the IBM the preferred PC.
The first PC ran off of Microsoft Dos operating system. This made the IBM easier to add features to, but also made it easier for other companies to
come up with their own versions of the PC. Microsoft was not exclusive to IBM allowing room for competitors. Competition came from all different

Xbox Vs Ps4 Research Paper

  • 1. Xbox Vs Ps4 Research Paper Did you know "65% of all families in the united states play video games?" According to the entertainment software association. But you have choices to gaming, with consoles being the second most popular gaming device you have options to your console, you could choose the Ps4 made by Sony or the Xbox one made by Microsoft but I'll be telling you why the ps4 is better. One of your console options, the Xbox One that sells for $349.99 the cheaper of the two consoles. The Xbox one includes an external power brick and external storage just like the previous model, the Xbox 360. Speaking of Xbox 360 the Xbox one is backward compatible, this means you can play all of the Xbox 360 games on the Xbox one. Sadly the Xbox one does not include Bluetooth ... Similarly the Ps4 and Xbox one require you to pay for online gaming and various other apps and activities. Additionally the Ps4 and Xbox one have cloud saved games which track your progress and will save your content if you get a new console, and sign in with the same account. The Ps4 is better than the Xbox one because it comes with a charging cable for the controller when bought, as for the Xbox one you need to buy either a charging dock or batteries. Speaking of charging there is no bulky battery pack on the back of the controller making it easier to hold. In addition, the Ps4 itself has an internal power supply oppose to the big, box–like power box on the Xbox one's cable. Some other, less important reasons the Ps4 is better are the games download quicker and boot up/start quicker than the Xbox one. Speaking of games the Ps4 has more exclusive games and more hyped up games than the Xbox one. Furthermore, the Ps4 is more aesthetically pleasing in the design than the Xbox one which looks like a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. An Evolved Gaming Industry In 1971 the video game industry was born. For over forty years, video games have been on the rise, now more so then in the early years when it was first introduced. Over the years as gaming corporation were continuously innovating new video game consoles and devices, consumers became more aware of what this technology has to offer. But in order for technology giants to wheel in consumers to buy their product, they had to present it to the general public, and give reasons why they should buy it. In order for video game corporations to stay in the game they will need to keep innovating and that is exactly what they will continue to do. I choose to analyze three different visuals. The first ad is from Sony's Playstation 4, which calls out to all of the hardcore gamers, the second ad is from Microsoft's Xbox One, which is more as a media hub which can please all of consumers entertainment needs, and lastly Nintendo's ad for the Wii U, which is more of an all ages, family friendly console. The demographics say it all. A survey done in 2013 shows that 58 percent of Americans play videos games. Of those 58 percent, there are 55 percent male gamers and 45 percent female gamers. 32 percent of gamers are under the age of 18, while 32 percent are between the ages of 18 through 35, and the other 36 percent are 36 years and older. So what do these demographics say? Well, it is saying that gaming is indeed on the rise in American society. It also says that because the majority of gamers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Customer Analysis: Sony: SWOT Analysis Of Sony SWOT Strengths Sony is successfull in acquiring licenses and patents for building strategic partnerships and business development. Sony is licensed to use not only local Japanese patents; in fact, Sony is even more successfull in obtaining licenses to use international (foreign) patents. Another interesting point is that Sony can still use some other patents even without legally owning them. Reputation of brand name and corporate image. Sony is a globally well–known brand name and it is illogical to question the top quality of the products and services. Regarding the products, I always found the functionality and design very appealing. Regarding the services, Sony is famous for its post–purchase services. Contacts are always kept with every client and warranty are available for products sold. Finally, Sony works hard to support customer information centers in its biggest markets. Customer reviews provide others with valuable insights. The point here is that this decreases switching (transaction) costs for customers to switch from Sony to Apple, for example, and vice versa. As it was mentioned earlier, customers are sensitive to prices and price elasticity of demand is high. The most important thing that matters to customers is price, not quality, because all of big players offer very similar products in terms of design and functionality. More customers prefer buying online, and this pushes down switching (transaction) costs even further. To summarize, buyers have the power to influence Sony directly because they can easily switch to competitors; but also indirectly, through exchange rates, as Sony is all about international ... Halo 5 Research Paper Halo 5: Guardians, the latest title developed by 343 Industries and Microsoft Game Studios brings the "Halo Experience" to the Xbox One, utilizing the next generation hardware the new Xbox has to offer. New hardware for the Xbox also means new changes for Halo with larger maps, refined gameplay, and beautiful aesthetics. With Halo beingMicrosoft's biggest franchise for the Xbox, they're really hoping that this Halo will reignite this console seller's popularity. Unfortunately, Halo 5: Guardians barely does that with its story and campaign falling flat on its face. The first question gamers have in mind about any game is whether or not the gameplay is good. Today's generation of gamers love fast paced shooters and Halo 5: Guardians is one of a kind. With thruster packs, sprint, and new spartan abilities, the features force older players to adapt to a new kind of Halo. As someone who has played every Halo game besides Halo: Spartan Strike, these changes can be a double edged sword as those used to the old design of Halo might not play because of this. If you love fast paced games however, than this is the game for you. That being said, Halo 5: Guardians still suffers from its poorly designed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Halo 4, the game felt much more casual and relaxed compared to its predecessors, but in terms of Halo 5, the game feels like it solely focuses on skill. The ranking system of Halo 5 also takes an inspiration of several successful eSports titles like League of Legends in an attempt to make it easier for players to enter the Arena. Well, pirates these days look much different. In fact, you may be sitting by one right now. They are ordinary people who have come to enjoy the technologies the Internet provides. These pirates are boys and girls, women and men, who habitually root themselves in their desk chairs with eyes fixed on the computer screen. Ultimately it ceased being a free source of music. Now there are a few other popular servers, like Gnutella, Morpheus, and Kazaa. The legality of these sites and all sites like it is hotly debated. In order to limit exchanging music, record companies want to make hardware and software to prevent music from being copied. But this would prevent people from copying their own music. That means no making CD mixes or putting music from your CDs on the computer, which is all perfectly legal. A handful of CDs already have certain features that prohibit the CD from being played on the computer and thereby prohibit the CD from being copied. There are many legitimate reasons for someone to copy their CDs, however. First, instead of taking a whole bunch of CDs when I go somewhere, I'd rather just take copies in case I would lose any. Second, how many times have you scratched a CD? Too many to count, no doubt, and by being able to copy your CDs, you don't have to worry about not being able to listen to the CD just because you accidentally scratched it. CDs are valuable items and thieves will gladly take them if they can, but if all your CDs are copied they're only stealing a worthless copy and not the original. And if they happen to get their hands on your originals, you know that your CD won't be lost forever because you made a copy of it. Many times you don't like all the songs on a CD. I believe Patricia Seybold article when he say, 'The new economy is not just high technology and the Internet'. Work is now being organized around technology and evolving with technology rather than using technology to support a static work process. An example of this is with Dolly having sex with Lester Lamb to repay the money he lent to Sam to help him out of debt, "Dolly comes across, takes his cup, and kisses him...Was that rape, do you think? He asked... I spose not. More like a deposit on a hundred quid... you're not handsome, but you're a nice fella. You got ninety quid's worth left..." (245–246). What is the dominant identity of the group? The dominant identity of the "Goth culture" is very different from many other cultures such as the way they look, dress, and beliefs. How is their relationship with the larger society different from that of group members? Wannabes in Goth culture are the young people who are between ages of 12–15 who considered themselves as a Goth, but they have no idea what Goth culture is about. The wannabe Goth usually wear all the dark clothes, where they all wear way too much eyeliner, black lipstick, and heavy chains, and point collars on their dresses. Some wannabe Goth dress up like they really are part of Goth, but at the same time they really are not part of it. The benefit of being a wannabe is they can listen to all vampires and strange music that is related to horror; nobody could say anything to them. The other benefit I believe they could have is they do not have to care about anything around them because of the attitude they keep; therefore, they can leave the wannabe Goth anytime they want. Their relationship with the larger society is very different than the actual Goth people because most of people thought that they are Goth when they are not, so they have to explain every time that they are not ... The laptop market penetration is currently assessed at 50% of the current addressable market so growth in this market is slowing. Finding segments within the market that differentiates VAIO from our competitors is a key to VAIO's future growth in the Chinese laptop marketplace. In the future it can be expected that as the market matures a larger proportion of future sales will come from replacements or upgrades instead of sales to new entrants in the laptop market. Additionally, approximately 50% of the working age population is 35 years old or less and this age range is driving a move to status seeking in consumer purchases. Customer interviews have shown that SONY is considered a premium brand. Although the laptop market will begin to mature with slower growth, we can capitalize on our strength of being a premium brand when customers choose to replace or upgrade their laptops in the future.
