2. • All over the world is big unevenness. In some
countries people waste food. In other they have
nothing to eat. We should save more food and split it
fairly. Wasting food is bad.
3. • Many people all over the world suffer from
hunger. In our country some people too. They
are homeless or abused children. But in our
country is it still good – for example in Africa is
it much worse. We should be glad.
4. • Everyone has the right to food, but he can buy
it only if he has money. But some people don’t
have it. And it’s the problem, there should be
possibilities for people to either earn money
or grow their own food everywhere in the
world.
5. FAST FOOD MANIA
• At present there are a lot of fast foods
• It‘s not nutricious and people should know it
• But they have little time and do not realize
that it‘s not healthy
• It´s easier to get fast food than cook
homemade meals from KM 0 ingredients
9. FOOD HELPS
The project in the Czech Republic is called Potraviny pomáhají (Food helps). T
hey try to help in many ways, but the main thing is a huge food donation during October
that happens every year.
In 2013 they collected over 55,5 tons of food from people and another 10,5 tons of
food from companies, making over 66 tons offood in total! Ordinary people can donate
food in supermarkets during the main collection day –which was Saturday,
November 22, 2014 last year. The result is amazing 173 tons, much more than
the year before. Volunteers and celebrities help in collecting food in supermarkets.
The food is distributed to people in need (from children to pensioners).
And what kinds of food do people donate? The long lasting ones, like:
Rice, sugar, cooking oil, sweets for children, pasta, flour, legumes, canned food, tea,
juice and much more.
Donated food is stored at „Food banks“ = associations of people who agreed to take part
in this project. Then food is divided further to organisations who help peole in need.

10. FAIR TRADE
Fair trade. It´s the way of support farmers and craftsmen from developing countries through
organizations that try to ensure proper treatment and fair prices to people from developing
countries is Asia, Africa and Latin America.
It’s pretty much about helping them to sell things they grow (so, food) for proper amount of
money and not get ripped off. People in Fair trade program also try not to use chemicals if not
needed to protect nature and environment. They also work in decent conditions and child
work is forbidden.
Goods from those people are sold all around world in specialized shops. You can also see the
Fair trade mark on the wrapping. And you know from where did that…something you bought
came from.
Price are similar to normal goods. Fair Trade goods can be bought also in Czech town
supermarkets and chemists or in some restaurants.
