2. Why does it
resonate for you?
• This resonates for me because family meal and
ending world hunger is very critical. There are people
around the world who are separated by
opportunities, who do not have a chance to have
even one meal together. Some people around the
globe are affected by hunger, therefore, striving to
take all possible actions to minimize this challenge is
much needed. It was stated in the article, that WFP
and their partners and working collectively to end
hunger as well prolonged malnourishment
worldwide. This is a great way to preserve the world
from hunger. Family meals bring families together and
the importance of this can not be emphasized
enough. As indicated in the article that not everyone
is fortunate enough share this chance and millions
have no access to adequate and healthy meals.
Indeed, the influence, and benefits of a shared meal,
and putting an end to hunger can change the world
and make it a better place.
3. How can your interest be
applied locally?
• My interest can be applied locally by educating and bring
awareness into the community about the significance of family
meal, healthy eating, and building a community with more
opportunities to access healthy meals. It mentioned in the
article that 805 million people do not have access healthy food
which affects their life productivity. I believe paying attention to
underrepresented minorities, and low-income communities can
serve the purpose. Providing access to local farmer markets for
healthy and fresh fruits and vegetables can also be an addition
that can enhance good health and healthy meals families can sit
and enjoy together.
4. Where can you personally make the greatest
contribution?
• I can make the greatest contribution
within my community because I would
be able to reach these communities
quickly and easily. I can volunteer at a
nonprofit organization to strive to make
a difference and give back to the
community. Educating and informing the
communities can improve both the
efficiency and health of the
communities. Being involved in the
communities, then working to end
hunger, poverty, and malnutrition can
have a huge impact on the lives of many.
Reaching those underrepresented
communities can make the greatest
impact. In the article it was said that
WFP supports 80 million people in 75
countries. This a huge contribution and
one that is inspiring.
5. Is there a feature of social
media that can be uniquely
applied to this goal?
• yes, a feature of social media that can be
uniquely applied to this goal is to use
Facebook, Instagram, twitter, YouTube and Tik-
Tok to spread awareness. Sharing information,
educating people , and creating a platform
that will endeavor to constructing a solid
foundation to enrich family meals, diminish
poverty, access to healthy sustenance, and
giving hope of food security to the world.
