![A Proposal to Research<br />Effective Integration of Technology to Enhance Communication in Mathematics<br />Susan D. Muir<br />EDCUR 805<br />University of Saskatchewan<br />The mathematics content standards are what teachers teach and the process standards are how they teach. Saskatchewan curriculum has seven mathematical process standards that should be addressed within outcome-based lessons. However, with the Saskatchewan curriculum renewal, educators have been challenged to shift teacher pedagogy to support integration of mathematical processes in daily instruction, with little guidance from curricula. This document proposes a literature review, which will focus on two of the seven processes: communication and technology.
