5. Pre-Song Scene (Intro
Music: 0s - 10s)
Trevor Griffin’s “Coffee” is a soulful, upbeat track that
includes bluesy-atmospheric vibe to it, really allowing
you to move along and smile when hearing it. Upon
several listens in multiple different settings and
locations, we’ve determined that the most creative
way to go about it, in our opinion, is to depict the
image that Trevor is inside his own head,
overthinking his surroundings and everyone around
him, as if he is the center of attention and that
everyone is judging him until he gets that ‘cup of
coffee’ that he so desires to acquire.

7. Verse 1, pre
hook and hook
(10s - 57s)
Getting ready in loft in mirror with Edgar
Wright style editing for detail cutaways. Then
he leaves and has to walk from loft to his car
on sidewalk. He passes various scenes
transitioning between his disassociation point
of view and reality; such as him walking past
people staring at him with their eyes
following him with a straight face as if they
are judging his every move transitioning
between him walking past going through their
normal routine, not paying attention to what
he’s doing and just going about their day as if
they would regularly.

9. Verse 2, pre hook and hook
(1:07s - 2:24s)
Trevor gets into his the car
and heads to the local
coffee shop, using Trevor’s
actual vehicle.
10. Verse 3, hook and instrumental
exit (2:24s - 3:31s)
Trevor exiting his vehicle
from the parking lot and
starts walking to the coffee
shop, and directly as the
instrumental exit starts at
3:31s, he walks into the coffee
shop and leads to the end skit.
11. He arrives and
were reminded
that this was all
recap when…
he enters the
restaurant we
pan to see him
sitting, the
same shot as
when the video
started.
13. The video would be like a mix of the music video for
Somebody Else by The 1975 as it relates to mood and
Sweatpants by Childish Gambino as far shot
composition. For the coffee shop, the look would be
soft lit with muted colors. For the shots that are the
recap as he’s overthinking, they would be contrasting
colors and more moody narrative shots.
