Introduction of UBER:
 Uber is a privately held company that was founded by Travis Kalanick (founder of Red
Swoosh) and Garrett Camp (co-founder of StumbleUpon) in march of 2009.
 Their vision was to create a convenient, easy-to-order car service for reliable taxi rides
in San Francisco. Uber is a transportation network company (TNC) which is a fancy
term for a company that uses an online platform to connect passengers with drivers
using their personal vehicles (just to be crystal clear, Uber doesn’t own any of the
vehicles).
 Riders can request four different vehicle types: UberX, Black Car, SUV and UberXL.
Today, the company operates in more than 42 countries and has raised 1.2 billion at a
$17 billion evaluation led by Fidelity Ventures.
 The company is currently headquartered in San Francisco, California.
Introduction of UBER:
 Bangladesh is a densely populated country of over 160 million people making it the
most densely populated large country in the world.. Therefore, the launch of rideshare
companies like Uber and Pathao will go a long way in easing traffic congestion in
Bangladesh.
 Uber launched in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh on the 22nd of November,
2016. With presence in over 400 cities worldwide, the congested city of Bangladesh is
the next city to experience the revolution that Uber introduces to the transport sector.
 Uber has teamed up with Bangladesh’s largest mobile operator, Grameenphone to
reach Dhaka’s 18 million population.
 Uber currently has 3 services operating in Dhaka. They include UberMOTO, UberX
and UberPREMIER. UberMOTO is Uber’s motorbike service while UberX is the mid-
tier cost affordable Uber service. Uber charges a Base Fare of 30 Tk for the
UberMOTO service and a Base Fare of 40 Tk for the UberX service.
 Passengers can request car rides and get picked up from any location.
UberPREMIER launched in 2017 to meet the needs of riders who want to ride in style
and plush comfort. This service delivers service in superior quality sedans with
professionally trained driver partners. Uber charges a Base Fare of 80 Tk for this
service.

 Passenger can get car anytime they wish if the car is in certain vicinity

Driver Requirements
 It is important that all intending drivers have their own bikes.
 First present the following documents:
-National ID/ Passport/ Driving license (Any one or all)
- Registration paper of the motorcycle
 For car rides, Pathao will charge Tk 50 as the base fare and Tk 20 as the per kilometre
fare. The per minute waiting charge would be Tk 2.5.

Pathao is a Bengali word meaning "send it". It
Is a Bangladeshi transportation technology company,
headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Besides ride-sharing services, it has ventures in E-commerce,
merchant, courier and food delivery services.
History
Pathao started their journey as a delivery service back in 2015 with
own fleet of motorcycles and cycles.
Later on 2016, Pathao started bike sharing services on mid-2016 and
had successfully signed up more than 100,000 drivers and around 1
million users by March 2018 across the country. In an interview
with TechCrunch Pathao CEO Hussain M Elius confirmed that Pathao
currently has a fleet of 50,000 bikes and the company is valued
over $100 million as of April 2018.
Operation System
Pathao follows a "One App for All" model unlike Uber, providing all of
their services through one app. They update their app on a
frequent basis to make the overall app navigation simpler and easy
for all.
Pathao currently provides ride sharing, parcel, food delivery and On
demand Transport Sharing services in 3 major cities of Bangladesh,
Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet. Food Delivery services is currently
available only in Dhaka Metropolitan Region & Chittagong Metro
only. Pathao also launched its own e-Wallet service, but eventually
the service was terminated due to regulatory issues with
Bangladesh Bank.
Ride Sharing
Pathao provides on-demand ride sharing services through
motorcycles and cars. Both the driver and the passenger
requires to have a Android or iOS internet and GPS-enabled
Smartphone in order to avail the service. Pathao uses a
similar algorithm like Uber and Lyft to match the passenger
with a driver nearby heading towards the destination. It has
more than 50,000 registered vehicles across the country.

 2 Delivery completed in one day - 90 taka bonus.
 5 Deliveries completed in one day - 170 taka bonus.
 7 Deliveries completed in one day - 210 taka bonus.
 10 Deliveries completed in one day - 230 taka bonus
You will receive Cash on Delivery from the customer which will cover the
bill for food and the delivery charge. When you earn bonuses, Pathao will
pay you your dues via Bkash/Rocket account number you provide in your
app.

Introduction of UBER:  Uber is a privately held company that was founded by Travis Kalanick (founder of Red Swoosh) and Garrett Camp (co-founder of StumbleUpon) in march of 2009.  Their vision was to create a convenient, easy-to-order car service for reliable taxi rides in San Francisco. Uber is a transportation network company (TNC) which is a fancy term for a company that uses an online platform to connect passengers with drivers using their personal vehicles (just to be crystal clear, Uber doesn’t own any of the vehicles).  Riders can request four different vehicle types: UberX, Black Car, SUV and UberXL. Today, the company operates in more than 42 countries and has raised 1.2 billion at a $17 billion evaluation led by Fidelity Ventures.  The company is currently headquartered in San Francisco, California.
  • 4. Introduction of UBER:  Bangladesh is a densely populated country of over 160 million people making it the most densely populated large country in the world.. Therefore, the launch of rideshare companies like Uber and Pathao will go a long way in easing traffic congestion in Bangladesh.  Uber launched in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh on the 22nd of November, 2016. With presence in over 400 cities worldwide, the congested city of Bangladesh is the next city to experience the revolution that Uber introduces to the transport sector.  Uber has teamed up with Bangladesh’s largest mobile operator, Grameenphone to reach Dhaka’s 18 million population.  Uber currently has 3 services operating in Dhaka. They include UberMOTO, UberX and UberPREMIER. UberMOTO is Uber’s motorbike service while UberX is the mid- tier cost affordable Uber service. Uber charges a Base Fare of 30 Tk for the UberMOTO service and a Base Fare of 40 Tk for the UberX service.  Passengers can request car rides and get picked up from any location. UberPREMIER launched in 2017 to meet the needs of riders who want to ride in style and plush comfort. This service delivers service in superior quality sedans with professionally trained driver partners. Uber charges a Base Fare of 80 Tk for this service.
