Delhi:The Territorial Army celebrated it’s 67th Raising
Day on 09 October 2016. To mark the occasion, an
impressive parade was held at the Army Parade Ground
in New Delhi. In a befitting ceremony, General Dalbir
Singh, the Chief of Army Staff reviewed the parade and
complimented the Territorial Army fraternity for doing
yeoman service to the nation.
Territorial Army was exemplified by a spectacular display
of their capabilities during the parade which was com-
manded by Col Krishnandu Barker and comprised of ten
marching contingents, fifteen bands and three tableaus
of Railway Engineers, Oil Sector & Ecological Territorial
Army units.
Territorial Army soldiers, resplendent in their regimental
attires, marched with military precision to the martial
tunes displaying their impeccable standards and envi-
able bearing with enthusiasm and zeal. Tableaus of
Ecological Task Force, Railway Engineers and the Oil
Sector units showcased the valuable contribution of the
Departmental Territorial Army units to the nation in the
fields of environment conservation and in maintenance
of essential services like Railways and Oil production
and supply.
The parade was witnessed by other civil and military dig-
nitaries, including military and defence-attaches from
friendly foreign countries. Several prominent personali-
ties have come forward to join the citizens’ Army and
have not only enriched it organisationally but have con-
tributed immensely in enhancing its image amongst the
youth of the nation. Territorial Army has grown into a
force with multi-dimensional capabilities.

Recently, infertility centers
have mushroomed with
new hopes for childless
couple and jobless young
gigolos. Nowadays, many
doctors have set up a
sperm shop with few young
smart, intelligent sperm
producers. I would like to
call sperm producers
rather than donors.
In the movie Vicky Donor,
unemployed Vicky is urged
by a fertility sexpert to
make better use of his
‘wasted’ sperms. He turns
this into a ‘productive’ idea,
until it becomes the origin
of more troubles. Looking
for designer babies any-
one? With the looks of
Brad Pitt/Aishwarya, star-
dom of SRK and the talent
of Lady Gaga? Well, you
need a super-sperm that’s
one in a million and Vicky
Donor is full of the ‘spunk’
that your fertile imagination
needs. He’s the biological
dad of 53 healthy children!
Want more? He’s unem-
ployed, single, and his
view of sex is, jitna mile,
utna kum. So what if all he
does is ‘shag’ for a living.
I was surprised when I was
reading an interview of Dr.
Aniruddh Malpani, an infer-
tility expert, saying
Brahmin sperms are in
great demand. In my view,
it is merely because media,
judiciary and the so called
group of intellectuals have
been facing constant
threats to the false dogmas
of “Hinduism” due to seri-
ous attacks being made
against Hinduism’s false
story. Hence, the caste
Brahmin being most dan-
gerous species on earth
constantly poses serious
threats to the humanity. It
is therefore, the caste
Brahmin who are in the
commanding position as
they rule the media and
judiciaries in India have
hatched a conspiracy and
given the “Brahmin Sperm
theory”. It clearly shows
that Brahminism i.e.
Hinduism has come so low
to save and protect them-
selves. Brahmin Sperm
theory abundantly speaks
that the Hindu God strictly
implement discrimination
in producing human being
as lowest, lower and higher
and highest human divided
into several thousands of
castes.
Do you believe that God
interferes in man’s day to
day life? No way. This is
what the Priests make it
out to be – for them to be
seen as the citadels of
power – that is their selfish
agenda. So, do not con-
fuse it there. Yet, there is a
merit in Atheism too.
Sperm donation is the pro-
vision (or ‘donation’) by a
man, (known as a ‘sperm
donor’), of his sperm, with
the intention that it be used
to impregnate a woman
who is not his sexual part-
ner. While the sperm donor
is the natural or biological
father of every child pro-
duced as a result of his
donations, he is generally
not intended to be the legal
or de jure father.
Depending on the jurisdic-
tion and its laws, he may or
may not later be eligible to
seek parental rights or be
held responsible for
parental obligations.
Sperm is often donated
through a sperm bank or
clinic, which are subject to
varying state regulations,
including restrictions on
donor anonymity and num-
ber of offspring. By having
sperm provided privately
and directly to the intended
mother, donors and recipi-
ents may avoid legal
restrictions but also lose
the benefit of legal protec-
tions of recipient and donor
rights and responsibilities.
Heterosexual couples suf-
fering from male infertility,
lesbian couples, and single
women are the primary
recipients of donor sperm.
When going through a
sperm bank, they may
select their donor on the
grounds of looks, personal-
ity, academic ability, race,
and many other factors.
Pregnancies are usually
achieved using donated
sperm by artificial insemi-
nation (either by ICI or IUI
in a clinic, or Intravaginal
Insemination at home) and
less commonly by in vitro
fertilization (IVF), usually
known in this context as
ART but insemination may
also be achieved by a
donor having sexual inter-
course with a woman for
the sole purpose of initiat-
ing conception. This
method is known as natu-
ral insemination, or NI. In
India, it’s well known that
couples shopping for
sperm demand both looks
and brains. What isn’t so
well known, despite being
fairly commonplace, is a
more outrageous request:
caste-based sperm.
Some years ago, Dr.
Saurav Kumar, a Patna
based gynaecologist, cre-
ated a furore when he told
a newspaper that childless
couples insisted on know-
ing the caste of sperm
donors. However, while
one may be tempted to
assume that caste biases
are entrenched only in
states like Bihar, the city’s
infertility experts insist oth-
erwise. Brahmin sperms
are in high demand among
childless couples, it means
most Brahmin couples are
childless? However, going
by Indian Council of
Medical Research guide-
lines, medical centres
reveal only the religion of
the donor, not the caste.
Really, this is very sad
thing which is taking place
in India too.
In India, however, the
donor remains anony-
mous. All that couples are
told is that it is “a young,
healthy and fertile physical
match yet, they persist.
They want to match the pri-
mary characteristics such
as height, skin and colour
with their husband. Mostly,
they want someone who is
taller and a shade fairer
than their husband, who
points out that this may be
a “very consumeristic”
approach. Communities
prefer a fair-skinned donor,
adding that couples want
them to find the closest
skin, hair and eye colour
match. While in a majority
of cases, it is the gynaecol-
ogists who contact sperm
banks and request for
semen samples based on
the client’s height, skin and
hair colour preferences,
some high-flying couples,
especially NRIs, visit the
sperm bank personally in
their desperation. In 2008,
when Dilip Patil tried to
popularise the concept of
sperm donation in India
through an awareness
booth at IIT’s annual Mood
Indigo festival, it was, he
who said “an anti-climax”.
“The students were shying
that they even avoid going
in a lane where he put his
stall.

On August 11, the apex court had
denied interim bail to Asaram in a
rape case and directed AIIMS to
set up a medical board to ascer-
tain his health condition before
taking up his regular bail plea. All
India Institute of Medical Sciences
told the Supreme Court that the
health condition of self-styled reli-
gious figure Asaram Bapu was sta-
ble. Asaram, accused of rape, had
refused to undergo several tests,
the seven-member board also said
in its report filed before the bench
of Justices A K Sikri and N V
Ramana. The bench posted the
matter for further hearing on
October 17. Asaram was arrested
by Jodhpur Police on August 31,
2013 and has been in jail since
then. On August 9, the High Court
had rejected his bail application in
the rape case. A teenage girl had
accused Asaram of sexual assault
at his ashram in Manai village near
Jodhpur.
In January last year, a witness in a
rape case against spiritual guru
Asaram Bapu was shot dead in
Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar.
Police said Akhil Gupta, 35, was
shot by unknown persons on his
way to home. He is the second wit-
ness to be killed in the case after
Amrut Prajapati, a former Asaram
aide who was shot dead in June
last year in Gujarat. Gupta was a
cook and personal aide of Asaram
Bapu, who has been in jail since
August, 2013, for allegedly sexual-
ly assaulting a schoolgirl. Since
then, he has been booked, along
with his son, for the alleged rape of
two sisters in Surat, Gujarat.
Gupta had been questioned by the
Gujarat Police in 2013 and had
reportedly given a statement
against the self-styled godman
who runs over 400 ashrams
across India.
The women had filed a police
complaint and accused Asaram
Bapu of sexual assault between
1997 and 2006 when she was
staying in his ashram on the out-
skirts of Ahmedabad in 2013. Her
younger sister had filed a separate
complaint against 76-year-old
Asaram’s son Narayan Sai, accus-
ing him of repeated sexual assault
between 2002 and 2005 when she
was living in his Surat ashram.
One of the women had
approached the court for permis-
sion to change her earlier state-
ment, raising speculation that
there was pressure on the com-
plainants and witnesses. The court
rejected her request.
The Surat-based sisters have
accused Asaram and his son
Narayan Sai of raping them when
they stayed at his ashrams in
Ahmedabad and Surat between
1997 and 2006. Asaram and his
son would have been convicted
months ago. Obviously, these
types of incidents will continue till
the case becomes weak and after-
wards these alleged criminals will
be set free. Justice delayed is jus-
tice denied. If two witnesses are
shot dead, one does not need
rocket science to know who is
behind these killings and this can-
not be termed as ‘mere rivalry’ with
someone else because two things
can’t be a co-incidence. Alas! The
court needs proof because its
eyes are blind-folded. God only
knows how this maniac would be
controlled.
Narayan Sai was earlier accused
by a married woman of trying to
sexually assault her. There are
thousands of woman followers
these father-son duo have. It is
really surprising that suddenly
cases were rained against father-
son and then stopped.

65 countries retain the death penalty for such crimes. To
be legitimate and effective, counter-terror measures, like
all security operations, must be anchored in respect for

Yet death sentences for terrorism are often handed down
after unfair and speedy trials by military or special courts.
Confessions are often obtained under duress or in other
ways in which the right to appeal is not respected. Some
States even seek to criminalize the legitimate exercise of
fundamental freedoms by including vague definitions in

US: The US on Sunday said its security
cooperation with Saudi Arabia is not a
“blank cheque” as the Obama
Administration strongly condemned its
key ally’s air strikes on a funeral in Yemen
which killed over 140 people. “US securi-
ty cooperation with Saudi Arabia is not a
blank cheque,” said Ned Price,
Spokesman of the National Security
Council, the White House.
“Even as we assist Saudi Arabia regard-
ing the defense of their territorial integrity,
we have and will continue to express our
serious concerns about the conflict in
Yemen and how it has been waged,” Price
said on Saturday.
Saudi-led air strikes targeting a funeral
hall packed with mourners killed more
than 140 people and injured over 500 in
Capital Sanaa on Saturday, a UN has offi-
cial said.
“In light of this and other recent incidents,
we have initiated an immediate review of
our already significantly reduced support
to the Saudi-led Coalition and are pre-
pared to adjust our support so as to better
align with US principles, values and inter-
ests, including achieving an immediate
and durable end to Yemen’s tragic con-

“We call upon the Saudi-led Coalition, the
Yemeni government, the Houthis and the
Saleh-aligned forces to commit publicly to
an immediate cessation of hostilities and
implement this cessation based on the
April 10th terms,” Price said.
According to the UN, over 6,700 people –
mostly civilians – have been killed in
Yemen since the Saudi-led coalition inter-

Pakistan’s army chief General Raheel Sharif on Sunday
visited the Line of Control for the first time since the sur-
gical strike conducted by Indian troops across the LoC
and expressed satisfaction over operational prepared-
ness of the military.
The Pakistan Army said in a statement that Gen. Sharif
visited the Haji Pir sector and interacted with troops
deployed there.
He was also given a detailed briefing by the local forma-
tion commander on operational preparedness of the
units and formation of the troops, the statement added.
“The army chief expressed his complete satisfaction over
high state of morale, operational preparedness and vigil
being maintained by Pakistan Army personnel along the
LoC,” the army said.
Gen. Sharif’s visit comes over a week after Indian army
chief General Dalbir Singh visited the Northern and
Western Commands to review India’s operational pre-
paredness along the border with Pakistan in the wake of
heightened tension between the two countries following
the surgical strike at terror camps across the LoC.
Indian troops launched the surgical strike on September
29 following the deadly Uri attack on September 18 in
which 19 Indian soldiers were killed in the brazen assault
launched by four Pakistani terrorists who were also elim-
inated in the counteroffensive by the army.
Pakistan has denied the surgical strike by India but has
claimed two of its soldiers were killed in alleged cease-
fire violations along the LoC by Indian troops.

11. Mumbai: While auctions of several assets of defunct
Kingfisher Airlines failed to attract even a single bidder,
the plush sea-facing Kingfisher Villa Goa has invited
interest from at least half-a-dozen players in the hospital-
ity industry and a media group.
The 17-lender consortium led by State Bank of India,
which took physical possession of the property in May
this year after a long legal battle with United Spirits over
tenancy rights, is auctioning it later this month.
The villa was owned by United Breweries Holdings, and
mortgaged by the now-grounded Kingfisher Airlines to
the consortium of banks to obtain loans in 2010.
Lenders had opened the villa for inspection to interested
bidders in two slots — September 26-27 and October 5-
6. In the four days during which the property was thrown
open, around half-a-dozen entities are known to have
visited the palatial villa.
“The response was good. Nearly 6 to 7 parties from the
hospitality industry and a media organisation have visit-
ed the villa,” a source said.
The auction of the villa, which was once used by the
embattled Vijay Mallya to host lavish parties, will be con-
ducted on October 19.

Bangalore: Accused want-
ed in Goa murder case of
Monika ghurde is picked up
today by joint operation by
Bangalore City Police and
Goa Police, in Bengaluru
city The Goa police, with the
help of Bengaluru police,
arrested a 21-year old man
in connection with the mur-
der of perfume specialist
Monica Ghurde (39) who
was found dead at her resi-
dence at Salgonda in North
Goa.
The suspect Rajkumar
Singh was nabbed from a
lodge in Cottonpet, from
where he was planning to
escape to Chandigarh,
police officials told
reporters.
Ms. Ghurde's domestic help
alerted the victim’s brother
after her employer did not
answer the door bell for a
long time. The door was
opened using force and Ms.
Ghurde’s body was found on
the bed, with hands and legs
tied.
Subsequently, the Polorim
police registered a case and
special teams were formed
to nab the suspect and they
were sent to places like
Delhi and Maharashtra
based on specific inputs.
During investigation, it was
found that someone had
used her card at an ATM sit-
uated a few km from the
scene of crime. Following
this, the card was used
again at a shop in
Basavangudi, Bangalore.
“Hence we sent a team to
Bangalore. We found that he
was working in the apart-
ment complex, where the
victim lived, as a security
guard and was sacked three
months ago after residents
complained about his
behaviour,” Umesh
Gaonkar, district superinten-
dent of police, North Goa
told media persons .
DCP South, Dr.
S.D.Sharnappa told
reporters that the Goa police
then sent an image of the
suspect, collected from the
apartment complex, immedi-
ately Basavangudi police
inspector S.D.
Sashidhara.with goa police
“they first visited the shop
where he is said to have
purchased shirts. As there
were no CCTV cameras in
the shop, we checked with
the shopkeeper and staff
and got information about
the direction he headed
after he made the pur-
chase,”
Then our special team
immediately swung into
action and inspected all the
lodges on Saturday with the
help of the photograph, but
could not find him. “On
Sunday morning we started
checking again and got
information that he was in a
lodge in Cottonpet area.
However, when we went
there he had gone out. We
waited for him and when he
came after sometime, we
nabbed him and picked him
up for questioning .
During interrogation, the
accused revealed the
shocking details he said
after the murder he left for
Mangalore from Madgaon
by train. “From there, he
took a bus to Bengaluru and
reached here on October 8.
He was planning to flee to
Chandigarh before that we
nabbed him he added .
Rajkumar reportedly told the
police that he committed the
murder for money. “However
since she started crying and
raising an alarm, he smoth-
ered her to death after
attempting to rape her,”
Senior officer told media
persons. How Cops Traced
the Accused in Joint opera-
tion : Investigation officer
said, Rajkumar, who hails
from Punjab, was on the run
after the murder came to
light on Thursday morning.
He was nabbed in a lodge in
Cottonpet on Sunday after-
noon in a joint operation by
the Goa and Basavanagudi
police. The Goa police was
tracking Rajkumar’s cell-
phone and Facebook profile.
“His phone was switched off
and also there was no activ-
ity on his social networking
profile. On Saturday, the
police traced that the killer
had withdrawn Rs 50,000
cash using Ghurde’s debit
card in Bengaluru.
Around 12.30 pm, he posted
a selfie on Facebook and it
was clicked before an
apparel shop. The Goa
police traced these activities
to Basavanagudi area and
immediately alerted the
Bengaluru police.
The Basavanagudi police
swung into action and
searched in more than 40
lodges in their jurisdiction
and surrounding areas till
Saturday night. They were
also joined by a Goa police
team, which arrived in the
city on Saturday evening.
“On Sunday morning, we got
credible information that he
had moved towards
Cottonpet. The teams were
sent and searches were
conducted in various lodges
in the locality. At one lodge,
we got to know that a suspi-
cious person had checked in
but he had gone out. We
waited for him for over one-
and-a-half-hours till he
returned. Once he came in,
the Goa police confirmed he
was the accused going by
his appearance and he was
caught in the afternoon.
During preliminary question-
ing the accused revealed
that he had raped Monika
Ghurde before smothering
her to death. “Earlier he was
working in Mumbai and had
moved to Goa just six
months ago. He confessed
that he had planned the
crime well in advance and
had entered her flat late on
Wednesday night. He
revealed that he tied her
hands as she was asleep
and raped her, before
smothering her using a pil-
low. Later, he stole her valu-
ables and fled investigation
officer said.
The suspect will be brought
to Goa tomorrow, informed
Goa's Deputy Inspector
General of Police, Vimal
Gupta, said in press confer-
ence.

Mumbai: Real estate developers across the country are
unlikely to witness higher sales this festive season even
as the Reserve Bank has slashed interest rate by 0.25
per cent, according to a report.
“Buried under high debt and inability of developers to
complete and hand over pending projects well beyond
commitments to hard-pressed consumers, the troubled
housing sector is not witnessing any festive activity this
year despite the latest cut in the policy interest rate by
the Reserve Bank,” the Assocham survey revealed.
Based on information collected from 250 builders in
Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata,
Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Pune, Chandigarh and
Dehradun, the poll found that the demand for new proj-
ects is low while new launches have come to a trickle,
marked by lack of consumer confidence and cash deficit
of the builders.
As per the survey, nearly 8-10 million workers engaged
in building and other construction activities face uncer-
tain future if the sector does not revive.
The demand for new launches has come down by over
50-60 per cent in Delhi-NCR and Mumbai while it is less-
er by about 40-45 per cent in Hyderabad and Chennai.
In Bengaluru, the activity has come to a total standstill,
first by the demolition drive and then by Cauvery dispute
agitation, the survey noted. “Customers are preferably
looking for ready to move in property rather than going
for under construction property but not many properties
fall in this category,” Assocham Secretary General D S
Rawat said. The unsold inventory pressure in NCR is the
highest in comparison to other cities. The region’s resi-
dential market still has an estimated 1,70,000 units of
unsold inventory which is approximately 30 per cent of
the units under construction, adds the survey.
